What used to be arguably America’s most famous candy became infamous over the course of the last few years as it descended into woke culture as many corporations did, and just like these other corporations, it paid the price.
As previously covered by RedState, M&M’s marketing team decided to take the beloved characters and begin changing up how they act and behave. While Red and Yellow were left alone, Green was defeminized so that she wasn’t so obviously a woman, which was offensive to the hard left for some reason. Moreover, they began adding other colors for the various flavors coming out, but they were attached to social messaging

That whole woke mess made "New Coke" seem like a master advertising ploy!!!!
Candy is first and foremost for children. Period!!! People (even a lot of lie-berals) are getting fed up with the groomers going for their children every chance they can.

When even candy is politicized, you know the country is lost.

They think backing off when they push too far is sufficient, but it is not.
My husband will no longer drinks Coke products and switched to carbonated fruit drinks.
We no longer shop at Walmart, but go to the locally owned grocery store.
I left AT&T after 20 years and now use Patriot Mobile.

I used to buy those huge jars of M&Ms for my husband at Costco. That ended as soon as Mars introduced the homosexual candies. Never going back. Enjoy the s@ck, Mars.

The company might have been able to salvage this situation if they had fired the marketing team that decided to embrace lgbt+ and announced they will focus on selling candy. Instead, the company mocked their customers with that snarky announcement regarding their "spokescandy".
As for their new spokesperson, I didn't recognize her name but when I saw a photo of her I did recognize this liberal comedian. Sorry, she's not going to help the situation.

The Christmas commercial where they bump into Santa is the last one I saw. The one for Halloween where one turns into a ghost is the only other commercial for M&M's that comes to mind.

We are a silly and frivolous nation to be so concerned about the sexual nature of our cartoon candies while Rome is on fire all around us.

They brought this entirely onto themselves. Go woke - go broke. People want to enjoy their M&M's without having trans garbage stuffed down their throats.

"America let's talk..."
My hackles went up as soon as I saw those 3 words. Most candy is marketed toward kids. This is another glaring example of grooming. Stick your grooming you Kwirdoz.
Humans have been fiddling each other since creation. The orifices you fiddle are your buisness, your problem and your choice.
Preferring and fiddling orifices doesn't make you a sage, doesn't give you the right to groom kids, doesn't make you brave or a warrior or special. SO SHUT UP ABOUT IT!
Stick your "spokescandies" in your orifices. If you are pushing your wokeness nonvirtues and grooming kids...
WE ARE COMING FOR YOU

American Patriots... here is a novel, traditional idea MAKE YOUR OWN CANDY!
marshmallows, fudge, bark, caramel..tbere are so many great recipes on line. It's so much better than store bought. You cannot believe the difference in taste. A homemade marshmallow is utterly divine. Try it. It's not hard and it's a great skill to have. Make candy as a family, share it over games or a movie. The most expensive thing you'll need to buy is a candy thermometer.
Talk about American independence... make your own. Cheaper and better for you if you must have candy. I make my own all the time.

When you use a target group for your product good luck making your profits from that group. It would be easier to make a list of things I purchase than the list of boycotted products I no longer support. Many commercials are like ads telling me not to buy that product than as they want to appeal to me. Sell to the group in the commercial I'll just take a pass that goes for everything I view especially if they are proud to be 'woke'. It seems Mars is more condescending and concerned with our stupidity than to fix their problem of wokeness.

For those asking, Maya Rudolph is a fairly talented singer and comedian. She is the daughter of Minnie Riperton, who was a pop singer back in the 1970's.
I have seen her in a lot of things, and never seen her get overtly political. She was on Saturday Night Live years ago, but I never watched it, so I have no idea what she was like in those days.
I think she is likeable and non-offensive to most people, so Mars is hoping that she will be able to make people forget their grooming ways. Nope, not going to happen, but at least this is so much better than lesbian candy!!!

They still don't get it. You cannot unring this bell!! It's like suddenly putting Cap'n Crunch in a dress to make cereal more inclusive. Some ideas are better to not acted upon and some iconic things are better left alone!!
