Thomas Jefferson High School for Science and Technology in Alexandria, Virginia, reportedly failed to include honors class designations on its transcripts, according to a parent activist organization. The transcripts of over 2,000 students at the elite northern Virginia high school do not designate which classes were considered honors courses, according to the parent activist group Parents Defending Education. Such classes are given an additional grade point weight of +0.5. Parents Defending Education said it received numerous transcripts from parents in Fairfax County Public Schools whose children attended a number of different schools within the district, but only the transcripts from Thomas Jefferson High School failed to include the honors designation.

Outrageous. You have to wonder what is next.

Not in Alexandria, Va. Try Fairfax, County, Va. Anyway, what the progressives have done to our best students stinks.

What if the same school awarded varsity athletic letters to all students? What if a district awarded First Team, All-Conference to all athletes? What if quarterbacks and other skill positions were simply designated as "players?" It could not happen, because the faculty and staff responsible would be fired and the Board would be recalled.

No one has said it yet, so I will put it bluntly. Individuals who ‘looked like 0bama’s son’ were disproportionately absent. So this was a naked attempt at equity. JimCrow in reverse.

The left is and has always been racist. They're about style over substance, feelings over facts. Everyone is not born with the same intellectual capacity. Affirmative Action ( the left love their phrases ) is an insult to black people. It tells them that they're not good enough on their own that they're chosen only to fill an arbitrary quota. Ben Carson succeeded on his own.

I went to a very tough College Prep high school. Every class was pretty intense. In my Math class Sophomore I felt like everyone was speaking another language. The guys with the pocket protectors would shoot their hands in the air at every question while I sat there with nothing. I did well in pretty much everything else, I had respectable grades but I really never "applied myself." When awards night rolled around my Senior year. my class of 100 had 22 National Merit Scholars and many more "Illinois State Scholars." Lots of kids had all kinds of civic honors. I never resented them at all. I was happy for my friends but I knew that I probably could have earned a scholarship but I also knew that I never put in enough effort to earn them. I had other interests that took my focus and I'm the one who made that decision. It never crossed my mind to be angry at them or "hurt" by their achievements. These schools are doing such a disservice to both the kids who earned the NMS, AND the ones who did not. Kids know in their hearts if they deserve an award. In my case they inspired me and I did quite well in College. The kids today can do the same if they have some motivation. In my day tuition at the private college I attended was $3500 a year. I worked my way through, but with today's prices those scholarships are vital to most kids.

I knew eventually this liberal woke stuff would affect the woke crowd. This is probably the first time they've dealt with the horrible stuff they've shoved down out throats for years in the name of diversity.. That was okay because they were wealthy and could afford the best for their kids. Well, folks, welcome to our world. And for the record, schools in the south were pretty much destroyed during the civil rights movements. NO child could be held back no matter what the school or parents wanted. Even if they couldn't read or write. Universities had to institute remedial classes for those who had no business in college, just so they could admit them like there were made to do.

These idiots are government employees and were never challenged to be excellent in a dog eat dog world. So, they are encouraging mediocrity that will leave them behind. Thanks a lot Fairfax County. Glad I don't live there any more since you have gone over to the "Dark Side". That is not a racial slur but a spiritual one..

Ronna McDaniel won a fourth term to head the Republican National Committee (RNC) during a secret ballot vote by members on Friday, capping off a contentious election spurred by calls within the party for new leadership. McDaniel fended off two challengers — California attorney Harmeet Dhillon and MyPillow CEO Mike Lindell, a staunch denier of the 2020 presidential election results. She received 111 votes, while Dhillon received 51 and Lindell received four. Former Rep. Lee Zeldin (R-N.Y.), who did not ultimately make a run for RNC chair, also received one vote.

It has seemed that they’re slow-walking the calls for the outstanding races in the House, even when some of them are separated by more than a couple of points. It’s five days after the election and we still don’t know the results for control of the House. I last updated this two days ago. But if there’s anything that needs to be addressed going forward, it’s this concept being pushed that it’s somehow normal to take “days” or even “weeks” to get to a result in the election. We now have another official call from Decision Desk in the OR-5 race. Republican Lori Chavez-DeRemer defeats Democrat Jamie McLeod-Skinner, 51.4 to 48.86.

U.S. military prosecutors are reportedly negotiating potential plea deals with 9/11 mastermind Khalid Sheikh Mohammed and four other conspirators imprisoned in Guantanamo Bay. The plea deals may allow the five dependents to escape a potential death penalty, according to CBS. Mohammed is widely credited with being the architect of the 9/11 terror attacks. The other four defendants are Ramzi Binalshibh, Mustafa Ahmed al-Hawsawi, Walid bin Attash and Ammar al-Baluchi. Attorneys for the defendants reportedly say they would be willing to enter a guilty plea in exchange for taking the death penalty off the table, as well as for getting treatment for alleged torture they experienced while in CIA custody.

Rand Paul, R-Ky., who sparred many times with Fauci in the Senate, said, "Fauci’s resignation will not prevent a full-throated investigation into the origins of the pandemic." "He will be asked to testify under oath regarding any discussions he participated in concerning the lab leak," Paul told Fox News Digital in a statement. "Retirement can’t shield Dr. Fauci from congressional oversight," House Oversight Committee ranking member James Comer, R-Ky., wrote on Twitter.

Barnette, who is running for the GOP Senate nomination in the state, has been locked in a fierce battle with Oz and Dave McCormick, the latter of whom has moved into third place in most polls. Inflation rose again in April, continuing a climb that has pushed consumers to the brink and is threatening the economic expansion, the Bureau of Labor Statistics reported Wednesday. The consumer price index, a broad-based measure of prices for goods and services, increased 8.3% from a year ago, higher than the Dow Jones estimate for an 8.1% gain. Removing volatile food and energy prices, so-called core CPI still rose 6.2%, against expectations for a 6% gain. Inflation has been the single biggest threat to a recovery that began early in the pandemic and saw the economy in 2021 stage its biggest single-year growth level since 1984.

The Biden administration is facing some scrutiny over a proposal to change the way it racially/ethnically classifies federal employees. At the moment, anyone of Middle Eastern or North African descent only has the option of identifying/being classified as “white.” Were the administration’s proposal to be approved, these individuals would instead have the option of identifying as Middle Eastern or North African. The proposal would accomplish this by rewriting the Office of Management and Budget 1997 Statistical Policy Directive No. 15: Standards for Maintaining, Collecting, and Presenting Federal Data on Race and Ethnicity (SPD 15).
