A CNN reporter claimed Thursday that government employees mishandle classified documents and materials “every day” and that many of the instances are “completely accidental” in the wake of the Biden administration’s classified documents debacle.
“This kind of classified spillage happens almost every day, and most of the time it’s completely accidental.

What is accidental about taking classified documents home and "storing" them in the garage? Of taking them and keeping them in some unknown place and two years later moving them to a newly-leased office? And accidental doesn't get anyone off the hook under the law. The standard is gross negligence.

How would this clown know. The truth is classified information was taken serious. You could be fired, jailed etc. A statement like the article title makes me LOL.

That's completely true, as it may turn out. Hasn't your pet emptied out the waste basket in kitchen, bathroom or garage, without your knowledge and to your utter embarrassment?

And every day, those who mishandle classified documents, unless they're Cabinet level or higher, are punished for doing so.

Sorry, Toots, it doesn’t work that way. Between high school and college I worked in the engineering library of an aerospace firm. Although I was a low level clerk, I still had to undergo a security investigation. I only needed low level clearance (confidential and secret). One morning I was greeted by security and admonished because I had (inadvertently) left a Confidential file cabinet open. I was mortified and never forgot to double check again. Unless things have changed dramatically, classified documents are logged in and out. They don’t jump into someone’s briefcase.

The highly classified documents that Joe Biden had stashed in his nongovernmental office that was reportedly paid for by interests in China, by way of the University of PA, and in his private home and attached garage in Delaware were out of the government chain of custody for over six years, and reportedly contained intelligence information relating to China and Ukraine, and were discovered coincidently in the Biden family home where Hunter Biden resided during those years, obviously without a security clearance or need to know as he had been kicked out of the Navy as an illicit drug user, and would have had unfettered access to those highly classified documents, and reportedly was perpetrating Biden family access and influence peddling schemes in both China and Ukraine. If you are able to put two and two together you should realize that all that was far more than a simple overnight mistake!

Oh?, Katie Bo Lillis, if this were 60 years ago the FBI would have been on you like flies on rib roast but you're in the right time period because there is no FBI, they're all polishing their resumes to become another on of their Deputy What-Evers, who do nothing but make the kind of money only the rest of us only dream about

I worked in an engineering and manufacturing company where classified documents were used literally every single day. Not by every person every day, but by someone, for sure. We had very, very few security incidents. All documents were accounted for quarterly, and if a document was missing, there was hell to pay. In most instances of "missing" documents, they had been misfiled. In a few cases they had been put into the burn barrel and not marked down on the accountability as 'destroyed'.
It was especially inconvenient when you had to do calculations which used classified information....your handwritten work sheets, ALL of them, now became classified documents and had to be catalogued if they existed for more than, IIRC, 3 or 4 days. That was a PITA, but we worked diligently to the rules.
Policitians include inordinate numbers of very lazy, very stupid and VERY entitled feeling people. Most of them should NEVER have any sort of a security clearance.

I am sure that employee is correct. Classified documents are probably mishandled every day,
But they aren't left in an employees garage with their son's doing business with the Chinese or with Ukraine.
Now Biden and these classified documents are a big deal mostly because the Injustice Department made a big deal out of Trumps having classified documents. Documents he claims he declassified under his authority. So they more or less set up this Biden mess themselves.
Just as they set up the Jan. 6th. mess.
Just as they fired Greene from a Committee and set up Schiff getting kicked off, Just as they had 2 fake impeachments and a phony Russian hoax.
In other words the democrats are their own worst enemies, and the worst enemies of this country.

Perfectly fine unless Trump does it, except he didn’t mishandle them and he declassified them.
