Roe Reversal

Texas has seen a drastic drop in abortions since the Supreme Court issued its Dobbs decision in June 2022, which overruled Roe v. Wade and returned the issue of abortion to the states. Data from the Texas Health and Human Services Commission shows that only three abortions occurred in the state in August of 2022, each of which was deemed “medically necessary,” Fox News reported on Sunday. “Compared with the 2,596 abortions recorded in the state in June 2022, the number in August represents a decrease of nearly 99 percent. Sixty-eight abortions were performed in July,” according to the report.

Pro-abortion women say it's their right to control their own bodies. If they did control their own bodies, then they wouldn't be faced with unwanted pregnancies. Pregnancy is not an accident. Two people have to do something for a pregnancy to exist.

These women have no problem controlling the bodies and fates of their unborn children. Saying the fetuses are not human doesn’t cut it. The Nazis had the same argument.

I doubt a single life was saved - the women just went to another state. Colorado and New Mexico have become an abortion destinations. Wait times have doubled from five days to two weeks or more.

I'm with #8. Most of those abortions have been outsourced to other states. I don't object to this. The Texas law is a good start. It's a challenge to legislate this sort of moral issue, but the Texas law and the SCOTUS decision represent a good start.

President Biden and at least four of his top lawyers and advisers tried to keep their fellow Americans from learning of the mishandling of classified documents from Biden’s time as vice president, according to a bombshell report Friday. The New York Times reported that initial discussions on the Nov. 2 discovery — six days before the midterm elections — of sensitive papers in Biden’s former office closet at the Penn Biden Center in Washington were limited to Biden himself, as well as Bob Bauer, the president’s top personal lawyer;

As soon as news broke regarding a second — now third (or is it fourth?) — trove of classified documents found at President Biden’s Delaware home (in addition to the initial find at the Penn Biden Center), people (at least those with a modicum of intellectual curiosity) began questioning who might have had access to the home and, by extension, the documents. Media requests for the visitor log were met with a shrug — no such logs are kept for the President’s private residence.

Dozens of House Democrats have proposed legislation that would eliminate the debt ceiling, which would allow the government to borrow without any limit set by Congress. The federal government hit the $31.381 trillion debt ceiling last week, and House Republicans are pushing for commitments to cut back on the record growth in federal spending before agreeing to allow more borrowing. But Democrats accuse Republicans of setting up the possibility of prohibiting a debt ceiling hike, which would make the government unable to fund all of its current obligations. Democrats say a better idea is to eliminate all limits on federal borrowing and allow
