During a Friday night dinner rush, executive chef Peter Petti will have stainless steel pots of pasta water boiling while searing salmon and steaks, all 12 burners ignited on the gas stoves at Sojourn, a New American restaurant on the Upper East Side. Nearly everything on his menu – from a 30-day, dry-aged NY strip to a chocolate flambeed dessert – is cooked on the range.
“Some dishes require two or three pans on the burners,” said Petti, 45, who’s been cooking with gas since the beginning of his culinary career /snip/
On Monday, the US Consumer Product Safety Commission said it was considering a nationwide ban on gas stoves,

I would rather perish by gas stove fumes or whatever it is that has their undies in a bunch this time, than being meddled to death by a bunch of nattering naboobs sticking their tentacles into every nook and cranny of my life. OUT you parasitical leeches - let me live and die in peace

The ideas we hear of from the criminals (Biden,Obama, etc) in charge are similar to those who are taught by Joeph Stalin. It is time to arrest and imprison all comunists in the Unted States.

Will Zhou also be taking the gas stoves out of the White House kitchen? Commercial kitchens use nothing but gas. Waiting to hear from all the tony restaurants in DC. Wilmington, Rehoboth Beach. Martha’s Vineyard.

Biden obviously has no constitutional authority to do this.

Al Gore got rid of toilets that flushed properly, and Joe Biden plans to rid the US of stoves that actually work (and cost less to operate than their electric versions). What is it with these democrats who want to fix stuff that works just fine?

Over the years, at various addresses, I used all three modes of cooking. I much prefer gas. I converted from electrical to gas in one home. Gas is best.

Since oil/coal and natural gas are all bad, bad, bad, they better start building nuke power plants to power those electric stoves.

Lets be calm. They have no real intention of banning gas stoves. It is a distraction hatched by political hacks to get us to stop talking about Bidens classified stash, covid vaccine deaths and a dozen other criminal scandals. Lets not fall for the ruse.

When we all have electric cars, electric stoves and electric heat, with flick of an on/off switch Government can control us.

Please. They can claim it's for consumer "protection" but it's really for the War on Fossil Fuels.
Good. Some of the best war stories are when the HQ gets overrun and the cooks have to get involved.
Keep pressing, wokesters. Keep alienating the working class. The workers are starting to understand that the War on Fossil Fuels is a war on them.

Then lead by example "Plugs"... remove the gas stove from the White House Kitchen FIRST. You will not like the result. After the head chef quits then the food will start tasting lousy.

It is much harder to control the temperature on an electric stove. Any serious cook will tell you that gas is better.

Gas stoves are best, no doubt. And they are 100% efficient, delivering all the energy in the gas, as it was taken out of the ground to the burner. Taking gas or coal and converting it to electricity throws away literally 2/3 of the energy to make it into the "advanced form" called electricity. Because it is so wasteful of our resources, electricity should NEVER be used when gas can do the job, since it triples the use of the primary energy source.
So - not only is gas more easily controlled for the cook, it uses literally 1.3 the energy of electricity, when you look at the whole picture. Electricity should be for motors and lights, which gas doesn't do easily or well, never for heat.

As always, if a conservative is afraid of gas stoves, he buys an electric one and gets on with his life.
If a lie-beral is afraid of gas stoves, they must be banned "for the greater good and safety of society".
My gas stove has officially been added to my "you can have it when you pry it from my cold dead hands" list!!!!!
