Does anyone really believe that millions of autos will be electric in just a few years? That's only one of the fantasies they are trying to force onto state residents.

Not to mention the requirement for building systems to transition to heat pumps... which won't even exist because the Biden EPA rules created by the AIM Act in 2021 will essentially ELIMINATE the refrigerant gases that enable air conditioners and heat pumps to function! Psychologists call this form of delusion 'magical thinking'. But if men can become women, then I guess buildings can be heated by a technology that will be eliminated.

We were subjected to our first Heat Pump, after always having Gas Heat) when we bought a House in the Country in TN. We FROZE all winter long (and the winters there were very mild)! It felt like cool air blowing on us all the time. We hated it it and when we moved again, we said do not even show Houses that have Heat Pumps, we're never, ever going to have one again! So good luck NY in your Winters! But then, Voters had a chance to get rid of their Horrid Governor and they jut couldn't see themselves pulling that Lever for a Republican. So, now you have to live with The Wicked Witch of NY. I'm betting she has just begun introducing her Subjects to her Wicked Ideas!

If you are actually STUPID enough to cash in $70K for an electric car because the government says you MUST then you are also STUPID enough to live in New York (or California). Your politicians know very well that electric cars in 2030 ain't happening especially in a New York winter. Their $500,000 garbage trucks are parked when it snows.

SACRAMENTO -- Cheaper abortions, raises for some workers, and grace for jaywalkers and loiterers are some of the hundreds of new laws that take effect in California next year. Democratic Gov. Republican candidates were backed by 14% of Black voters, compared with 8% in the last midterm elections four years ago, according to AP VoteCast, an extensive national survey of the electorate. In Georgia, Republican Gov. Brian Kemp more than doubled his support among Black voters to 12% in 2022 compared with 5% four years ago, according to VoteCast. He defeated Democrat Stacey Abrams both times. If that boost can be sustained, Democrats could

When the 2020 presidential campaign was lurching into gear three years ago, former Vice President Joe Biden had led in the polls for months. Still, everyone kind of assumed he was a placeholder, a former office-holder with high name recognition whose campaign would nevertheless go the way of his two previous presidential bids, meaning nowhere. He was dull as dishwater compared to many of the others vying for the nomination, and nobody had ever really considered him presidential timber. As the campaign took off, other candidates were winning in the early states even as Biden still led in national polls.

An abandoned outlet mall could soon be a new 29-acre “cannabis super center” in the middle of California’s Mojave Desert. The Barstow City Council voted 3-1 to approve the project at a contentious Dec. 21 meeting that lasted nearly five hours. The development needs to earn a second council vote next month before it is fully approved. The new development sits along one of California’s busiest traffic corridors, located about halfway between Los Angeles and Las Vegas. A cannabis real estate firm was marketing the “cannabis super center” as “the most unique green zone property in the entire country” earlier

The Democrats and the Fourth Estate have finally found, in congressman-elect George Santos (R-N.Y.), a Republican who is genuinely guilty of lying to the voters. Having thus discovered themselves — for once — in possession of the moral high ground, they have made the welkin ring with cries of outrage and calls for his resignation. However, if he ignores those calls, it may be difficult to stop him from being seated in the House and even harder to expel him once he takes office.

Why did Republicans underperform during the 2022 mid-terms? That question has become a near-constant point of contention on the right. Was it a candidate quality issue? I’d argue that was certainly the case in several high-profile races, but that’s obviously not the only thing that plagued the GOP. There was also a lack of coherent messaging from leadership, and in many important races, Democrats were simply able to outspend their opponents by large margins. The RNC’s inability to harvest votes and bank early votes didn’t help either. Donald Trump is looking elsewhere for an explanation, though. In an eyebrow-raising rant on Sunday, he appeared to blame pro-lifers for GOP woes.

It would be the first thing he’s done to fulfill his pledge to unite the nation, with a decision to retire worthy of bipartisan celebration. Biden is a bumbler, and always was, even before cognitive decline turned his appearances into spectacles. The big achievement of his tenure has been to prove the wisdom of two warnings about him.
