On Friday’s broadcast of the Fox Business Network’s “Evening Edit,” Rep. Byron Donalds (R-FL) criticized Senate Republicans for pushing an omnibus spending package and stated that doing so denies the House GOP the funding leverage to push border security provisions. Donalds particularly criticized the lead Republican negotiator in the Senate, Senate Appropriations Committee Vice Chairman Sen. Richard Shelby (R-AL), for “selling everybody out” “to take all this money out the door and cut a deal with the worst president in our history” and extend the Biden agenda. I know Shelby, well. He was elected as a Democrat, and in his heart and soul he is still a Democrat. A BIG spending Democrat. He has had buildings named for him all over Alabama. He is a Robert Byrd wannabe. That is ALL he cares about. His stinking ego. He couldn’t care less about the counter hard working taxpayers. He is a stinking Tuscaloosa Democrat.

We are being betrayed in our faces by Republicans. They have to be punished by removal from committees, primary challenges, and cutoff from funding. The betrayal of Republican voters has to met with consequences.

Shelby has always been a snake. As a Democrat, he ran a slanderous campaign against Republican Jeremiah Denton, a true American hero. He later switched parties during the Reagan revolution in the south and the Republicans rewarded him with pork projects that bear his name all over Alabama. Now here is the good part -- his chief of staff, RINO Katie Britt was just elected to take his place with the endorsement of Donald Trump.

Forget what this does to republican leverage. Spending more money that we do not have and adding it to the debt that we can not repay is illegal and immoral. We never approved money for climate change, reparations, gifts to African dictators to shut down their coal industry or fund the journey, housing and transportation of illegal immigrant border crossers yet they have billions and billions for all of it. We might as well be at war. At least we could officially declare who the enemy is.

One thing I dislike immensely about republican punditry, specifically as it relates to internal dynamics, is their tribal narrative engineering. The example from Breitbart about President Trump’s discussion of the next speaker of the House is a case study. Take out Matthey Boyle’s woven narrative; and remind yourself that Boyle is writing from a position of DeSantis advocacy; read just the direct quotes from President Trump about the risk of House Speaker if the party doesn’t align to support Kevin McCarthy, and the position is pragmatic. Over the past two years of his presidency, Joe Biden has completely reshaped American foreign policy in the Middle East — and the consequences have been predictably dreadful. According to a joint statement released after Xi’s multi-day visit to the kingdom, the two countries have agreed to enhance collaboration on a wide range of issues vital to their respective economic and security interests, including energy, trade, and terrorism, among others.

Yes, the headline isn’t really fair to Thom Tillis, the North Carolina Republican senator who wasn’t on the ballot in last month’s midterms. You’ll forgive the unfairness, perhaps. But life isn’t fair. And honestly, Tillis’ lame-duck-session amnesty gambit is deserving of much worse than the headline above. Here’s Stephen Kruiser at PJ Media: One of the more frustrating aspects of being a conservative Republican is the constant need to look over one’s shoulder for stealth attacks by moderate squish members of the GOP on important issues like health care, gun control, and amnesty for illegal immigrants. Such ideological shivs in the back always arrive under the execrable guise of bipartisanship.
