House Republican Leader Kevin McCarthy said that as Speaker of the House, he would issue subpoenas for the 51 intelligence officials who signed a letter weeks before the 2020 election claiming the Hunter Biden laptop story looked like Russian disinformation. During a Fox interview over the weekend, McCarthy - who will likely become the lower chamber's next leader - said Republicans, under his leadership, will 'bring the (the intelligence agents) before committee' and ask them 'why did they lie to the American public?' 'Those 51 intel agents that signed a letter that said the Hunter Biden information was all wrong - was Russia collusion - many of them have a security clearance,'

The letter copied in the article refers to earmarks of a “Russian INFORMATION operation.” All this time I thought the spies who lie claimed the Hunter Biden Laptop story had the earmarks of a Russian Disinformation operation. Apparently others misread that part of the letter just as I did. In any event we know the FBI took possession of the laptop in December of 2019. The spies who lie letter was released in October of 2020 shortly before the 2020 election. The signatories signed their letter while claiming they didn’t really know if the laptop story was a Russian operation. One would think the FBI and the signatories who maintained security clearances would have sorted out such a national security threat immediately. By the time their letter was shared with the public why would the spies and FBI pretend not to know if the emails were genuine? They played down the seriousness of the actual emails in order to persuade Americans to look outside their government for threats and to discount what was on the laptop.

Just bring these 51 known liars in and let them deny the truth. I realize these investigation produce nothing but drama, but I want to see everyone of these fools sit in the chair and have to listen to Josh Hawley, Tom Cotton, Ted Cruz, or Rand Paul lay out the case before they ask them one question. Force them to lie under oath in order to deny the evidence. You can do a lot of damage just by bringing them in and making them sit there while their deeds are revealed. Now if Republicans will just man up and use the hearings to destroy these arrogant liars, it would be a win. Do not let them off the hook. They cannot be allowed to slink away with their cushy media jobs and golden pensions. Use the power of truth to reveal just how corrupt they are. These liars believe they are above the law. Put them on trial in the court of public opinion. That should take them down a peg or two. And if by chance, these investigations hit pay dirt, remove their security clearances immediately if that is possible. Put them in the hot seat and turn up the heat.

Florida Governor Ron DeSantis is fast emerging as a top 2024 presidential contender capable of beating both Donald Trump and President Joe Biden, an early election poll suggested on Tuesday.  The new USA Today/Suffolk University survey shows that a majority of GOP voters want Trump to pass the torch to the 44-year-old Republican governor - despite having declared his own third White House campaign last month. And while the ex-president trails Biden in a theoretical head-to-head rematch, DeSantis holds a narrow lead over the Democrat of about four points.

California Gov. Gavin Newsom (D) visited the U.S.-Mexico border on Monday and blamed Republicans for the ongoing crisis there, despite the fact that the ongoing influx is a reaction to President Joe Biden’s policies. Millions of migrants have poured across the border since Biden was elected president, many of them traveling from around the world to take advantage of the Democrats’ deliberately lax policies. Earlier this week, 1,000 migrants crossed the Rio Grande at El Paso in one night, an unprecedented number. Biden, who told migrants to “surge” to the border during his campaign in 2019, halted President Donald Trump’s border wall project upon taking office,

The New York Times on Monday declared incoming Pennsylvania Sen. John Fetterman to be one of its 93 “most stylish” people of 2022, prompting backlash against the paper on social media, including by the Democrat’s wife.  “No, not [John Fetterman]!!
