Monday, Service Employees Internation Union Local 87 in San Francisco went out on strike. Ordinarily, a janitor’s union local striking wouldn’t make national news, but this local provides cleaning services for Twitter headquarters.
It started last week when 20 cleaning crew members were told that Friday would be the last day they were needed at Twitter headquarters. Twitter headquarters is serviced by a company called Flagship Maintenance Solutions. As expected, this company devotes part of its website to its role in mitigating climate change (huh? w*f?) and its inclusion and equity program.
From the various accounts, it seems like Twitter had opted not to renew its contract with Flagship

How/Why do these people 'go on strike' when their service contract was terminated?
Elon, a good leader, should remove dead wood, smoldering embers and all toxins from the workforce. That's what a good leader does.

When did the people working there get the impression they gave the orders? They don't own the company. They simply work for it. Elon owns it. He gets to make the rules.

Notice they brought out big Drums...and their antifa riot masks.
Though someone should perhaps mention to Camo dude...wearing a russian pattern army surplus camo outfit, and black balaclava makes you look like a Putin Jackboot, not a noble Ukraine-ista freedom fighter. Worse still It "might" lead "some people" to think you are a REPUBLICAN!

Perhaps Musk should set up a recruiting station at our southern border.

All they're doing is convincing him to move Twitter HQ out of CA. It will be cheaper now that he's fired most of the staff, and it is a good test of the remaining staff - do I want a job, or do I want to stay in Commiefornia?

Obviously this African doesn't understand the value of our unions. I hope the government monitors his clearly anti American approach to free media and the first, first I repeat, amendment. President Vegetable should make a speech! lol.

When I first got out of high school my first job was cleaning homes. This was just for over the summer to earn what I could to go to school. It was one of the hardest jobs I've ever had. Went home and was bone tired. You would not believe what a mess people make and leave for others to clean up after them. I look back on that as a good lesson learned. First, I knew this was temporary and I could do it. It taught me to study hard to get a job I wanted. Also, I don't leave a mess anywhere for others to clean up. I don't ask others to do anything I'm not willing to do myself.

Hmm. How does that work? Musk tells them their services are no longer needed, so they are going to show him who is boss by not coming to work? Do they realize how stupid that is?

Is it even possible that these people thought they worked for Twitter? Who was signing their paychecks? Elon needs to get out of SF ASAP.

We know about the SEIU when we lived in CA. They are the Mafia branch of the demonrat party. Wherever there is a strike the SEIU goons are there. These "goons" are bused in to protest. The government unions and private companies are run by the SEIU.

The union got a call from headquarters in obama central in the White House and told to put some pressure on Elon...well...that didn't happen...Elon just picked up a broom and did it himself...God...I love this guy!!

It is remarkable that Flagship Maintenance Solutions had only one client. Perhaps their stated ''mission'' was to provide jobs, salaries and uniforms for a certain number of people. The new maintenance company will likely be an organization that provides a SERVICE, then hires people who want to work for the compensation offered. Like back when you and I hired out.
