Authorities have announced a mandatory curfew in a North Carolina county where around 40,000 customers lost power after two power substations were damaged by gunfire Saturday night. The county will implement a mandatory curfew from 9 p.m. until 5 a.m., starting Sunday night, Moore County Sheriff Ronnie Fields said at a news conference Sunday. Municipality and county officials "have formed a plan for the night and the next few nights that we may be out of power. It's a very serious situation," Fields said. "So we've come to an agreement to best protect our citizens and to protect the businesses of our county, we're going to implement a curfew tonight."

It's scary to think about the chaos that could be created with such acts. I recently saw a homeless encampment had sprung up just outside of a power substation, which was fenced off. If they decided to scale the fence or clip through it before someone ousts them, it could be catastrophic.

1. Build border wall 2. Deport all illegals 3. Electrify the perimeter fence 4. Build blast proof wall inside perimeter fence 5. Send bill to Mayorkas, Joe and Hunter Biden’s home address.

I'm curious, what exactly is the emergency that demands a curfew for law abiding citizens? It's a power outage, not a terrorist attack. The outage was the result of people wanting to stop a children's drag queen night. It's extreme, but it worked.

gota go to local news to find out...immediately after the power went down, the Wal-mart in Aberdeen and several gun shops in the county were struck by "Flash mob" looting attacks.. Hence the curfews...and 'some' of the questions about "Why"?

#5, Any source that reports this attack was committed by people that wanted to stop a drag show? This report mentioned at the end that there was speculation about the drag show but that did not come from those investigating this attack.

Several GOP lawmakers blasted the monstrous $1.7 trillion spending bill released Tuesday morning out of the gate, with complaints that they were only given days to read the 4,155-page deal reached by some Senate Republicans and congressional Democrats in an effort to avert a government shutdown. Now, details are trickling out about what is actually contained in the last-minute omnibus, and North Carolina GOP Rep. Dan Bishop took to Twitter to flag what he called "some of the most egregious provisions in the bill." Bishop revealed in a tweet thread that the package "expressly prohibits [Customs and Border Protection] funding from being used to improve border security,"

Wanna bet? I’m so old that I remember when media outlets would have considered “extreme” any allegations that governments would abuse pandemic-tracking tools. And yet, here we have the Associated Press reporting its scoop today that reveals precisely that outcome. After first insisting that individual privacy had to be set aside in an emergency, the AP seems shocked, shocked to find that governments like being able to track and snoop on its subjects — er, citizens: In the pandemic’s bewildering early days, millions worldwide believed government officials who said they needed confidential data for new tech tools that could help stop coronavirus’ spread. The Democratic-led House Ways and Means Committee released a report on former President Donald Trump's taxes Tuesday after voting to make public six years' worth of the former president's tax returns, the culmination of a years-long quest from House Democrats to obtain the former president's taxes. The panel approved a motion on a party-line vote to release the materials to the House, clearing the way for Trump's tax returns to be released publicly within a matter of days. The vote was approved with all Democrats voting in favor and all Republicans voting no. Shortly after the vote, the committee released a report on the failures of the presidential audit program along

Governor Greg Abbott deployed 400 Texas National Guard troops to El Paso in preparation of Title 42 ending and the current on-going crisis of illegal migrants flooding into the city. Thousands of illegal migrants crossed into El Paso last week and city resources are overwhelmed. The increased presence of the Texas National Guard is to protect El Paso and stop illegal migrants from continuing to cross the border. Title 42 is scheduled to end on Wednesday. Chief Justice John Roberts issued an order to stay the lifting of Title 42 on Monday at the request of 19 Republican-led states.

Twitter worked with the Pentagon to promote fake accounts in the Middle East which praised U.S. policy, it has emerged - despite the social media company insisting that it made 'concerted efforts' to 'detect and thwart government-backed platform manipulation'. The collusion spanned at least four years, from 2017 to 2020, and saw top Twitter executives liaise with military intelligence on 'a covert online PsyOp campaign' - promoting accounts including one that claimed the U.S. drone bombings in Yemen killed only terrorists. The revelations were made by Lee Fang, who on Tuesday published the eighth installment of what is termed the Twitter Files.

Ukraine's President Volodymyr Zelensky is planning to visit Washington on Wednesday and may meet US President Joe Biden, reports say. It would be his first foreign trip since the Russian invasion in February. Mr Zelensky could also address Congress, unnamed officials told US media. There is no official confirmation of the visit or the plans. A visit would be fraught with security concerns - meaning plans could likely change at short notice. In a letter on Tuesday, Democratic House Speaker Nancy Pelosi urged members of Congress to be in attendance on Wednesday night.

As we reported, the latest Twitter files revealed that the FBI pushed Twitter and other social media to squash the Hunter Biden laptop story without any evidence that it was a foreign operation and that they arranged for Top Secret security clearances for executives of Twitter to see some of the information that they wanted them to pursue regarding election “threats.” That was a far cry from the disclaimer the FBI issued last week when the Twitter files started dropping. They said that they just provided information to Twitter and that whatever Twitter did with it was their own business. But it gets worse.

To be absolutely fair, Joe Biden has said a lot of things that are just not true. However, if this newly-surfaced video is Biden being honest, then perhaps there is hope that not everything will be ruined by 2024. The Biden administration has wanted to rekindle an old flame in the Iran nuclear deal established by Barack Obama and undone by Donald Trump. However, there hasn’t been much of an opportunity for it, considering all of the issues the administration has had to deal with. Crisis after crisis have and are continuing to dominate their resources, so the Iran deal has been repeatedly pushed to the side.

No, McConnell said that "providing assistance for Ukrainians to defeat the Russians is the number one priority for the United States right now, according to most Republicans." Really?

The question in the title needs, I believe, critical examination. Why DOES the Left hate Trump so much? The answer, as usual, can largely be found by analyzing history. But first. Do they hate him because the average price of a gallon of gas in his administration was far lower than under Biden? Is it because inflation was low (around 2%) and trending downward? Is it that the USA was energy independent and didn’t need to beg our enemies for oil, deplete our strategic oil reserve or sell it to China? Is it because black and Hispanic unemployment was lower than at any time in history?

Add yet another government overreach to the “Things You Didn’t Think Could Happen in America” file: Democrats on the lame-duck House and Ways and Means Committee voted Tuesday to release six years of former President Donald Trump’s tax returns. Why? Because they um, uh—because they want to? But wait, you say to yourself, that’s not possible; your tax returns are private by federal law, and therefore protected from release. The Dems of course found a sleazy way around that. The tax code allows the committee to look at people’s tax returns to provide “oversight” of the Internal Revenue Service, and by writing an official report on their findings,
