President Joe Biden’s Department of Homeland Security (DHS) is taking Federal Air Marshals off domestic commercial flights to have them conduct welfare checks on border crossers and illegal aliens, Rep. Jeff Van Drew (R-NJ) said in congressional testimony on Tuesday. In July, Breitbart News exclusively reported that Biden’s DHS had deployed Air Marshals to the southern border to escort border crossers and illegal aliens from processing facilities to Border Patrol custody before their release into American communities. (snip) to have them transport border crossers and illegal aliens, provide welfare checks on illegal aliens, and in some cases, do janitorial work.

Amen #1. So we let terrorists into the country on the southern border and remove Air Marshals from planes to do welfare checks. This is foolish and dangerous. Wonder if any marshals will quit?

Again, the recent elections (notwithstanding the stolen seats) have shown what is deadly for every civilization: APATHY. Often, the apathy stems from stupidity, or from the obsession with the trivial and just can't be bothered, which brings us back to apathy. Imploring "the people" to wake up, it falls on deaf ears, blinded eyes... NO... falls on ears plugged by fat fingers, and eyes blurred by indulgences.

Until Biden took over, the threats to US commercial aviation have been reduced since 9/11, but have not simply gone away. Congressional authorization and appropriation legislation specify funds Federal Air Marshals, which has nothing to do with illegal alien welfare. What's worse is that FAMs are typically placed on higher risk flights, including international flights from countries less serious about aviation security, some of whom are considered US "allies." TSA did not create itself but was created by the Aviation and Transportation Security Act of 2001, two months after 9/11. TSA was created before DHS (2002), being initially placed within the DOT, at the time led by Norm Mineta (d), which resulted in the security circus in those early days of TSA. The key provision of TSA's enabling legislation was to remove passenger and baggage screening from the control of the airlines and their low-bid private security companies, placing the screening responsibilities on federal employees. The biggest advantage of having done so has been the government's focus on security technologies and systems that do not depend solely on the operator's interpretation of images, which has historically been found to be spotty, at best. Advanced sensors and software have significantly improved the detection of weapons, explosives, and other dangerous, prohibited substances since 9/11. For example, single-view transmission x-ray machines at the screening checkpoints have been or are being replaced by CT scanners, which can be programmed to detect a wide range of explosive threats and provide 3 dimensional views of threat objects. Unfortunately, since Biden took office, TSA staff, a high percentage of whom are US military veterans, and the funding to develop and deploy advanced detection technologies and systems have been shifted to our southern border to augment the woefully understaffed and equipped Border Patrol. Without the permission of Congress, reprogramming appropriated funds is not legal, violating the Anti-deficiency Act provisions; however, democrat control of Congress has meant that the violators within the Biden administration are not being held to account. That may change with GOP control of the House.

Now we see that the TSA should ban ballpoint pens, if they are rigid, or anything else that is potentially rigid, including male genitals, on domestic and overseas flights, else they be used for self defense, or something else that's illegal, homophobic, or not otherwise recommended. The air marshals, who might have deterred a highjacking or two, will now be consigned to menial duties far below their training. It's just the puppet Resident's transformation of America, guided by Obama, Soros, Gates, Schwab--Sam Banklman-Fried is out of the club--coming to fruition. We are so screwed. Not nearly enough patriotic Republicans. Eighty per cent of those ought to be primaried and retired in the next three election cycles. If elections even matter anymore. If they don't ... oh, Lord.
