Senate Majority Leader Chuck Schumer (D-NY) said Monday on CNN’s “This Morning” that he was meeting with Senat Minority Leader Mitch McConnell (R-KY) in the wake of midterm election results to convince Republican senators to ditch so-called “MAGA Republicans.”
Co-host Kaitlan Collins said, “Are you going to talk to Mitch McConnell? What does that look like?”
Schumer said, “I’m going to say to the Republicans in the Senate who are not the MAGA Republicans, stop letting them lead your party. Work with us to get things done. I intend to sit down with Mitch McConnell and express that.”

Who the hell does schumer think he is! He doesn't control the Republicans, Maga or otherwise. McConnell is a wuss and if he wants to insure he loses his leadership position he sits with schumer to talk about anything. It's time McConnell is gone anyway, but the rest of them better tell schumer to f off.

I know it would take several election cycles to be competitive, but I hope Trumps “historic” announcement tomorrow is that he’s starting a New Political party. I walked away from the democrats 30 years ago and hoped the Republicans would actually follow through with their rhetoric, but the never do. Plus they are losers. They prefer to be the opposition party. They like to watch their wives have sex with other men. They are cucks.

Spewmer knows FULL well he doesn’t need Repubs (MAGA or otherwise) to “get things done.”
Is he playing McMitch for The Fool, or he thinks the Rubes are The Fools?

Maybe he is just trying to elevate Mitch? like, Mitch will become more valued to Trump voters for not having beat and kicked them? Bad cop to Mitch's good cop in the sense of not electrocuting us?

Without MAGA Republicans the GOP would shrink to smaller than the Libertarians, and the Libertarians would become larger than the Republican party now. Schumer is selling you out Mitch!

Based on how McConnell undercut conservatives in the general election, I would have bet that conversation between upChuck and McConnell had already happened. Lord knows RINO Mitch tried his darndest to kill off the conservatives.

Pompous, isn't he? ...The dem pols & RINOS are apparently simpatico in their stance against American's who still do cherish the USA, respect the Constitution and uphold the Rule of Law. The socialist/dems & Rinos seem to have separated themselves from the very principles upon which THIS republic stands.

This is exactly why I want to ditch Mitch. I don't want the Republican Leader meeting with Chuck Schumer to get rid of Republicans. If that is the conversation, McConnell should decline that meeting.

#6, Schumer needs 60 votes to stop debate to get a bill to the floor... he only has 51... he needs Mitch to continue Biden's BS.

This is and has been a setup designed to destroy the Republican party and to keep the D's in power for decades. There will be a new party, but as a previous poster said, it will take several cycles. I am convinced that this whole "red wave" thing was a setup. Dig deep and you will find the elitists are this up to start a civil war within the R party

The RINO Hall of Fame - Susan Collins, Lisa Murkowski, Mitt "Pierre Delecto" Romney - will be on Chuck' side. Mitch "MultiUseless" McConnell is very good at writing stern letters while hiding underneath his desk. Hey Mitch, what's on the lunch menu this week? Go get 'em Tiger!

The wimpy establishment Republicans will get along with the Democrats only after they do what the Democrats tell them to do. Maybe Trump should announce that he intends to run in 2024 as an Independent candidate. Since most grassroots Republicans support Trump that would really put a haymaker on the wimpy establishment Republicans.

I was a MAGA Republican until January of 2021. I then renounced what had become the backstabbing RINO Republi-Can't Party and became a MAGA Independent Conservative!!!!
While I will never vote for a Demon-Rat, since they are all pure evil, I will also not vote for another useless RINO simply because they have an "R" after their name. So Demon-Rat Sshumer and Demon-Rat-lite McConnell can shove it where the sun don't shine!!!!!
