It Looks Like DeSantis Has His Strategy
to Fight Against Trump

Ron DeSantis has found himself in Donald Trump’s crosshairs and many people were wondering how the Florida Governor was going to deal with it. While it’s infuriating to watch it happen, it was inevitable. Bringing down opponents is a large part of politics and Trump has never been one to go easy on anybody, allies and enemies alike. If Trump has a goal and you’re in the way, he’s going to attempt to bulldoze right through you. It’s been simultaneously a huge weakness and a great strength. The same fight that bruises friend and foe alike is the same fight that elevated America. To be sure, Trump’s presidency did this nation

DeSantis is doing exactly what he should do. Ignore. Trump will turn it up more and more until even the most stalwart supporters will grow weary of these childish attacks. My only hope is that Trump can keep his lousy trap shut until after the GA runoff, and then he unleashes so much insane nonsense that it is a matter of weeks before we can stick a fork in him and say resolutely 'he's done'. Voted for him twice. Lost friends for it. He got a lot done but this recent nonsense is beyond the pale.

What we are watching with DeSantis is what always happens when a good republican gets involved with the Bush cabal and Trump/MAGA hating megadonors. They are trying to frame Trump as being the past we should forget about, and embrace DeSantis. No thank you Ron. We have had enough backstabbing for one decade.

DeSantis chance of winning in 2024 is just like McCain and Romney in 2008/2012. He and his family will be attacked just like Sarah Palin and Trump in 2015. The establishment doesn’t care if they win or lose in 2024, their goal is to destroy MAGA momentum completely just like they did to the Tea Party movement in 2008. President Trump will do whatever it takes to ensure the survival of MAGA, even if he loses supporters. Gov DeSantis has no personal wealth and will have to get financing from a mega donor or the establishment RNC. Trump was not owned by anyone but DeSantis will not have that luxury.

I dont know if DeSantis is a Bushie one worlder or not. These stories have just magically appeared the last few days, kind of like the political hatchet jobs we have seen so many times in the past. They see someone who has too much appeal and make up all sorts of stories about him. They did the exact same thing to Palin and Trump. They never change their tactics. Yes, Trump makes me cringe. But I'd rather cringe than have this sexual freak show we have destroying our country now.

The MAGA gang is out doing what it does so well...demanding full and inviolable allegiance to FPDT, regardless of anything. The GOPe won no more seats than the out party historically does, and that's with FPDT doing what he does. Why didn't the GOP do better? The idea that some GOP voters were in no mood for more of his drama particularly after his swings at DeSantis and O'Dea. The issues? Questionable alliegiance to the great man. Sorry, I've been around politics from local to national too long to give a good damn about any politician. As far as I'm concerned, FPDT had his run. He got slammed by the uniparty, and so the screw job continues. If you think every election is fixed, why bang your head with the same 2x4 thinking it won't happen again? The news flash is that Trump could win every state unanimously, and the vote count will reflect otherwise, leading to another loss. In simple terms, as I have said before many times, Napoleon is not coming back from Elbe this time. While the rabid MAGA crowd will attend rallies and the rest, the rest of his coalition appears unmoved by his endorsements, if not ignoring them. The '20 election is over and done regardless of the usual MAGA pundits dropping bombshells and insinuations. The novelty act is over. And if he announces Nov. 15th, the "Toxic Trump" meme will bury him, hoist on his own petard. Not one Republican will do or say a thing. Elected politics is about winning, not finishing second.

After seeing the GOPe globalists exposed for what they are, ie., part of the uniparty along with all dems, I could not vote for DeSantis. His backers and media cheerleaders are all globalists. DeSantis is polling at 10% to Trump's 70+%. Do the globalists really think a few bad words about how Trump tweeted mean things and is at it again will work? Look at what he accomplished. IF DeSantis actually got in office he'd be constrained by his own globalist power mongers.

Since Tuesday, this site has increasingly been filled with articles and comments similar to that of a college sports fan site. When the team is winning, everyone seems to be able to find areas on which to agree, often with good natured humor. After a bad loss or series of losses, the recriminations start and the the divides regarding certain coaches and players exposes divisions of opinion and philosophy. Things can get unnecessarily ugly among folks who are largely on the same side, aside from differences in leadership style , player selection, offensive, and defensive schemes, and game-time play calling. No one is ever 100% right on every matter and boorish, insulting behavior is best avoided, lest you wake up one morning as a democrat.

For those who still can't understand why demosluts can keep winning even when their candidates are literally braindead. Look at what the leading Republicans do to each other for apparently no reason at all. The one thing one can say about demosluts is, they don't dump on each other. They vote in lockstep, and they all think alike. There is unity. The Republicans can't even agree to be nice to each other.

The Republican Governors Association’s annual winter meeting is happening in Orlando this week. Without saying Trump’s name, Sununu said it is way too early for anyone to be announcing a run for president in 2024. He said 2024 is too far away to be guessing about potential candidates. Bali, Indonesia - Polish President Andrzej Duda said the missile that killed two people in eastern Poland on Tuesday was likely fired by Ukrainian forces defending against a wave of Russian missile strikes, and that the incident appeared to be an accident. "There is no indication that this was an intentional attack on Poland. Most likely, it was a Russian-made S-300 rocket," Duda said in a tweet Wednesday. He later told a press conference that there was a "high chance" it was an air defense missile from the Ukrainian side and likely had fallen on Polish territory in "an accident" while intercepting incoming Russian missiles. In politics, just as in business, talk is cheap — follow the money. As predicted, Donald Trump announced his candidacy for the 2024 presidential nomination, which officially kicked off the primary season. John covered the details of the announcement last night, which turned into an hour-long rally speech but without the rally. That left some observers (including many of our commenters) underwhelmed in terms of presentation. As I had written earlier, that seemed like an odd choice, especially for a showman like Trump. He has a natural affinity for large audiences and is far more dynamic and entertaining in those venues than at a static podium on his own.

For all those tuning into Donald Trump’s announcement of his presidential candidacy Tuesday night expecting to see a rip-roaring, fired-up Trump tearing into Joe Biden, trashing the fake news, and just generally riling up the crowd, you were disappointed. Trump was unusually calm, almost somber even, and spoke mostly in a slightly-hoarse monotone. After the midterms, the Republican Party and half of the conservative movement are now furious with Donald Trump. Their writs are many — even though the party establishment shares much of the blame. Even before the midterms, there was a latent feeling among half of Republicans that Trump, given his age, and the animus he incurs among the rich Left and touchy independents, might retire to the role of kingmaker, rather than try a third presidential election. Trump’s eruptions, coupled with Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis’ stunning and singular midterm success, ensured that such prior latent conservative unease is now overt.
