NYC judge mulls handing gangbanger sweetheart
plea deal — if he apologizes: sources

A controversial Brooklyn judge is secretly considering cutting a deal that would give a gangbanger a slap-on-the-wrist sentence in an attempted murder case — as long as he says he’s sorry, The Post has learned. Acting Brooklyn Supreme Court Justice Laura Johnson has been weighing sentencing accused gunman Donte Simpson to just five years behind bars for the May 2021 shooting that left the 17-year-old victim paralyzed for life, law enforcement sources said.

Comments:

The D'Rats are going to lose badly on Election Day and it will be because they didn't get their message out. Meanwhile, the victim is facing a life sentence to a wheelchair, but Johnson thinks the shooter should walk away with five years and an apology. One look at this horrible woman is all you need to know.

OK, I will go for this only if they add a stipulation that this murderous gang banger has to live with acting Brooklyn Supreme Court Justice Laura Johnson for 10 years after he gets out of prison.

House Oversight Committee Republicans are kicking off an investigation into what they they called a “taxpayer-funded censorship campaign” at the Department of Homeland Security. Since 2020, the federal agency has been under fire for working with big tech companies to censor certain viewpoints mainly related to election integrity. The GOP launched its investigation after Monday's report by The Intercept dove into how the Feds had begun pressuring tech companies on a range of issues, including COVID-19, the vaccine for it, and Ukraine.

Here’s why: We’ve now had seven straight months of 8%+ inflation. A year ago we were assured by the White House economic wizards that these rapid price increases in everything from groceries, to rental cars, to gasoline at the pump, to health insurance were merely “transitory.” Whoops.

Inflation clocked in worse than expected at 8.2% for the 12 months ending in September, according to the consumer price index, bad news for the country’s economic health. The much-anticipated numbers reported by the Bureau of Labor Statistics on Thursday revealed that while it ticked down by one-tenth of a percentage point, inflation is still higher than anticipated and defying the Federal Reserve's aggressive interest rate hikes. Worse, "core inflation," which strips out volatile food and energy prices, rose sharply in September. On an annual basis, it rose to a whopping 6.6%, the highest since 1982.

PORTLAND, Ore. – Betsy Johnson is not running for Miss Congeniality. The longtime Democrat now running for governor of Oregon as an unaffiliated candidate is more likely to drop a swear word than a political platitude. When voters asked if she would repeal Oregon's drug decriminalization law, she responded, "Hell yes." On education, she declared, "Let's not worry about pronouns. Let's worry about mathematics."I am not beholden to any political agenda or ideology, and I'm certainly not running to do something other than fix a place I love," Johnson told Fox News.

Are Democrats trying to incite an insurrection? The party's rhetoric on the "existential threat" of so-called climate change has grown increasingly radical and vitriolic of late, its policy solutions alarmingly anti-democratic in nature. Given the way some Democratic politicians have implicitly endorsed subversive tactics to enact their controversial agenda, one can't help but wonder why outraged liberal voters aren't storming the U.S. Capitol building at this very moment.

"President Biden’s comments are not only outrageous and divorced from reality, they ignore the severe economic pain the American people are feeling because of rising energy costs," Manchin, D-W.Va., said. Rumor has it a red wave is taking over Congress, and Democrats are panicking. House Speaker Nancy Pelosi reportedly plans to step down from her position if that just so happens to be true, with her daughter in line to take over for Pelosi. Christine Pelosi, a Democrat activist, has remained at her mother’s side for most of her political events, even writing a book on “America’s Most Powerful Woman” in 2019. If the plan to replace Pelosi with her daughter becomes reality, that would make her the third generation to serve in Congress.

In a move that surely had his tapioca dealers talking themselves back from the ledge, the President stated that they would be shutting down coal-fired power plants ‘across America’. Democrat senate hopeful, Fetterman, was likely stunned by Biden’s recklessness … and her husband probably was too.
