An FBI agent who coordinated with Facebook to suppress the Hunter Biden laptop story is advising the Biden administration in its push to suppress information on social media, according to leaked documents published by The Intercept.
Laura Dehmlow was involved in conversations between the FBI and Facebook ahead of the social media company’s decision to censor the story surrounding the contents of Hunter Biden’s laptop before the 2020 election, the Washington Free Beacon reported. She was later involved in the Biden administration’s efforts to suppress and censor content on social media platforms for misinformation-related purposes, according to The Intercept.

Radical John Fetterman’s hometown paper on Sunday endorsed Republican Dr. Mehmet Oz for Pennsylvania’s next senator.
The Pittsburgh Post-Gazette announced it believes “Oz is the better bet for Pennsylvania” for a variety of reasons, including concerns over the Democrat’s lack of real work experience, maturity, and anti-fracking policies:

Federal marshals escorted the leaders of True the Vote out of a Houston courtroom on Monday morning and into a holding cell. Catherine Engelbrecht and Gregg Phillips have been held in contempt of court for refusing to release the name of a person of interest in the defamation and computer hacking case against them, who they claim, without proof, is a confidential FBI informant.
They will remain in jail until they release the name of the man.

11:24 AM PT -- TMZ has obtained a copy of the divorce filings. As we reported, the docs say both Tom and Gisele say their marriage was "irretrievably broken." The property settlement and custody agreement remain confidential. What's interesting ... the docs include 2 certificates, showing both Tom and Gisele successfully completed a "Parent Education and Family Stabilization Course." The docs say both Tom and Gisele are "restored to the status of being single and unmarried" -- per the judge.

Meta, the parent company of Facebook, was issued a nearly $25 million fine on Wednesday for violating the state of Washington's campaign finance laws.
Meta was found to be in violation of Washington's political disclosure law 822 separate times between 2019 and 2021, according to court documents. King County Superior Court Judge Douglass North issued the maximum possible fine for each instance, totaling up to $30,000 per violation.
(snip) Washington Attorney General Bob Ferguson, who originally brought the case against Meta, said in the report from the Times that he had "one word for Facebook's conduct in this case – arrogance."

PHOENIX — An arrest has been made in the burglary of the campaign office of Arizona gubernatorial candidate Katie Hobbs, authorities said Thursday.
Daniel Mota Dos Reis, 36, is accused of breaking into an office at the location of Hobbs’ Phoenix headquarters on Monday at about 7 p.m. and stealing multiple items, according to a probable cause statement.
A patrol officer on Wednesday recognized Dos Reis from surveillance images and said the suspect had been arrested earlier in the day for a separate burglary. (snip) There is no evidence to tie the burglary to Lake. Lake, during a Thursday afternoon press conference, said a defamation lawsuit is possible.

Democrat Katie Hobbs, Arizona secretary of state and gubernatorial candidate, was quick to amplify claims that “dangerous misinformation” from her Republican opponent Kari Lake was connected to a break-in at her office this week. Police have now reportedly arrested a suspect and confirmed the break-in had no political motivation, so Hobbs did what any self-respecting Democrat political candidate would do — she refused to discuss the new development or her former accusations.
“AFTER accusing my team of coordinating a Watergate-style break-in of her office, Katie Hobbs has now flip-flopped and DOES NOT want to talk about the crime,” Kari Lake tweeted Thursday.

Dr. Mehmet Oz has overtaken his Democratic rival, Lt. Gov. John Fetterman, in the Pennsylvania Senate race following the Democrat's much-critiqued performance in the race's sole debate earlier this week.
In the latest InsiderAdvantage poll, Oz led Fetterman by 2.7% among likely voters with 47.5% support to 44.8%. That lead is just inside the survey's +/- 3.6% margin of error, making the race a statistical tie. Conducted Oct. 26 among 750 likely voters, the survey is the first to show Oz leading in the race and the first to feature a survey period exclusively following the debate.

Let’s get right to the point: Where are all the splashy full-page ad campaigns from purported Christian “leaders” condemning the moral degeneracy of this Biden administration?
Or does being a “prophetic witness” to the “political class” only gain renewed interest in elite evangelical sectors when the person occupying 1600 Pennsylvania Avenue has an “R” next to his name?
For context, let’s rewind back to 2017.
Shortly after Donald Trump assumed office, he issued an executive order that suspended travel into the United States from seven countries and paused most refugee resettlements for 120 days.

New York judge has struck down what it calls an "arbitrary and capricious" COVID-19 vaccine mandate for New York City workers, in a ruling that reinstates employees fired for not being vaccinated and entitles them to back pay.
"The petitioners should not have been terminated for choosing not to protect themselves," Richmond County Judge Ralph Porzio wrote in his ruling Monday, in response to the case filed by 16 New York City employees after they were fired for not taking the vaccine.

One of the core strengths of the late, great, sorely missed, Rush Limbaugh was his ability and willingness to constantly reground his listeners concerning basic truths. We tend to forget basics in the heat of political battle, usually to the detriment of conservative causes and candidates.
An excellent current example of this has to do with polling. I cannot believe how many conservative pundits, radio/podcast hosts and writers react to polls early in the season with dismay or even panic. “Beto is within three points of Abbot!” “Fetterman up seven over Oz? How can that be?” The answer is: you’re right, it can't be. It isn't true.

Colorado GOP Senate nominee Joe O'Dea says he will campaign against former President Donald Trump if he were to run for president in 2024.
“I don’t think Donald Trump should run again,” O’Dea said in an interview Sunday on CNN’s "State of the Union." “I’m going to actively campaign against Donald Trump and make sure that we’ve got four or five really great Republicans right now.”
Among those mentioned as potential 2024 GOP presidential candidates are former South Carolina Gov. Nikki Haley and Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis.
