In its 2016 Thirteenth Five-Year Plan, the Chinese Communist Party mandated the fusion of civilian and military research. In a 2021 Gateway Pundit article, I described the three levels of China’s biowarfare program. There is a core secret military level consisting of military research centers and hospitals. The core layer is supervised by the Academy of Military Medical Sciences in coordination with so-called “civilian” entities, such as the Chinese Academy of Medical Sciences and the Chinese Center for Disease Control. Layered on top of the core level are China’s universities, civilian research institutions, like the Wuhan Institute of Virology, and medical companies.

Comments:

We have been letting the Chinese Communists infiltrate and essentially take over many universities. We really need to deport all these Chinese Communists, and prevent ANY Chinese students from coming to the USA to study. China is the enemy, and we are letting them just take over.

Excepts for religious schools, it's that way at almost all univesities in USA and Canada. In science and engineering there are more students and professors from China and India than the USA. Fifty years ago any kind of homosexual activity was a felony in every state in the Union and could get you kicked out of the Armed Forces and most univesities. Now many univesities are woke. The LSMFT (Lucky Strike Means Fine Tobacco) is now treated like a pretigious fraternity. And the important thing is not educaton but Diversity. Occasionally something amusing happens. A young woman from China came over here and decided to come out on her official Chinese Communist web page as a lesbian. The Chi Coms required her to come back to be reprogrammed,

I walk through Harvard and Harvard Square multiple times a day and am inundated with Chinese nationals. There is hardly an American to be found, let alone a white American. These universities are for the benefit of our society, are federally funded in large part, and there is no reason for these Chinese to be here. Do Oxford and Cambridge let themselves be overrun with foreign students? No. Those universities serve the U.K. I believe all Chinese who come here are compelled to spy on us. That is part of the deal. I had a random chat with a fellow who turned out to work for MIT in security. He is well aware of the threat. Why Harvard (and MIT) let these people in... we have 320 million Americans, surely, a few thousand are eligible for admittance... I am disgusted.

It appears that those in academia are eager to betray their country. Is that what higher education does to someone? Or do these academics have such an insatiable desire to be in with the “in crowd” at these universities that they eagerly accept their anti-American agenda as their own? Whatever their motivation, if they are found to have betrayed the country, give them the death penalty. They earned it.

Greenpeace gives up on recycling plastic 11 replies

Recycling almost everything is an uneconomic scam[i], but that hasn’t stopped many localities from enforcing recycling mandates, and employing lots of people to sort through garbage and spend large sums on trying to find another use for the materials. At great expense to taxpayers. But finally, Greenpeace has realized that recycling plastic makes no sense. In City Journal, John Tierney writes: Greenpeace has seen the light, or at least a glimmer of rationality. The group has issued a report accompanied by a press release headlined, “Plastic Recycling Is A Dead-End Street—Year After Year, Plastic Recycling Declines Even as Plastic Waste Increases.” The group’s overall policy remains delusional

Florida Democrats are bracing for a very bad night on Nov. 8. Less than two weeks before the election, Democrats are signaling that key races are slipping away from them. They point to ominous signs and missed opportunities, including the party’s message on abortion rights and gun control that isn’t resonating and a lack of coordination between the campaigns of Rep. Val Demings, who is vying to unseat Sen. Marco Rubio, and Charlie Crist, who is challenging Gov. Ron DeSantis. Most worrisome for Democrats, national organizations and donors have all but abandoned their candidates — setting off fears that Florida is no longer viewed as competitive.

California’s agricultural production is as large as Texas and Iowa combined. The state’s Mediterranean climate and fertile valleys help make it the fifth largest supplier of food and fiber in the world. It all depends on water. Most of the state’s crops rely on irrigation as opposed to rain. Irrigation is regulated by a system of water rights held by public and private parties. Notice these are "rights" and not "privileges." The exercise of these rights to bring about beneficial uses of water such as growing food is a complicated area of law and policy. History proves that giving the government control over the food supply is usually a recipe for famine.

"They" are the elitists at the helm of the German government, running the country into the ground, all in the name of climate alarmism. But who do the German people think they are, placing undue expectations on public servants to prioritize citizens' prosperity over Big Government altruism? Unemployment and bankruptcies will soar, as companies find themselves unable to cover their costs due to high energy prices. Germany’s vaunted chemical industry, heavily dependent on natural gas feedstock, is likely to wither on the vine. An economic and social disaster reminiscent of the 1930s is possible. A top Florida state official warned Thursday that firefighters have battled a number of fires caused by electric vehicle (EV) batteries waterlogged from Hurricane Ian. EV batteries that have been waterlogged in the wake of the hurricane are at risk of corrosion, which could lead to unexpected fires, according to Jimmy Patronis, the state's top financial officer and fire marshal. "There’s a ton of EVs disabled from Ian. As those batteries corrode, fires start," Patronis tweeted Thursday. "That’s a new challenge that our firefighters haven’t faced before. At least on this kind of scale." "It takes special training and understanding of EVs to ensure these fires are put out quickly and safely,"

Hurricane Ian was the only major tropical storm to strike the U.S. so far this season, but it was a powerful one — among the most powerful in U.S. history. Parts of southwest and central Florida suffered extensive damage and loss of life. And right on cue, climate alarmists are pointing to this as evidence of the "catastrophe" we face unless we eliminate fossil fuels. For environmental radicals, Ian is proof that storms are getting stronger and more frequent and that seas are rising, but just shouting "climate change" doesn't explain much [snip] To begin, hurricanes have not been striking the U.S. more often, nor are they more deadly.

During this massive, angry, satanic storm that nature hurled our way here in Florida this past week, there are a lot of lessons I learned, some of which I'd rather not have learned. Others, I was delighted to learn. My situation was a good one compared to many others. I did evacuate to an area slightly less impacted than the one directly in Hurricane Ian's eye, and we never once lost power. At times, though I thought the house would blow down, nothing budged except branches, leaves, and a few very old oaks. This I learned: Many people are looking for an opportunity to help out
Doctors have a macabre new way to harvest organs 13 replies

In the never-ending quest for viable organs, doctors have found a way around brain death and circulatory death criteria. Transplant centers around the country are removing organ donors from life support, clamping off the blood flow to their brains, and then restarting their hearts. Thus, the organs are resuscitated and viable for transplant, but the person doesn't wake up. This procedure, known as normothermic regional perfusion with controlled donation after circulatory death (NRP-cDCD) allows for organ-harvesting in patients who are not brain-dead but who are not expected to survive. Life support is removed, and after the heart stops beating, doctors wait an average of 2–3 minutes
