Russian President Vladimir Putin on Monday promised “harsh” retaliation in response to future attacks after an explosion disabled a major bridge connecting Crimea to Russia. Speaking at a security council meeting, Putin called the Kerch bridge blast a “terrorist attack aimed at the destruction of civil critical important infrastructure of Russia.” Ukraine has not yet claimed responsibility. A massive explosion on Saturday heavily damaged a bridge which Russia relied upon for transporting military supplies to Crimea, cutting off a critical route and dealing a major setback to Putin’s war effort in Ukraine. NBC correspondent Dasha Burns broke news Tuesday when she revealed on both MSNBC and NBC Nightly News that Pennsylvania Democrat Senate candidate John Fetterman is in worse shape than originally thought after his near-debilitating stroke.

Rep. Sean Casten (D-Ill.) and his wife said in a statement that Gwen Casten died in June of a sudden cardiac arrhythmia.
“In layman’s terms, she was fine, and then her heart stopped,” the grieving parents said. “We don’t know what caused the arrhythmia, and likely never will.”
