Vice President Kamala Harris on Saturday triumphantly celebrated President Joe Biden’s decision to pardon all federal convictions related to marijuana, calling for further legalization of the drug. “Nobody should have to go to jail for smoking weed,” Harris said during an event in Austin, Texas, with for the NARAL Pro-Choice America and Groundwell Fund. But while Kamala Harris served as the Attorney General of California, 1,974 people were admitted for hashish and marijuana convictions, according to the California Department of Corrections and Rehabilitation.(Snip)Harris was mocked in 2019 after laughing about her marijuana use during an interview with “The Breakfast Club,” in which she admitted smoking it in college.

smuggled weed ought to be morally beyond the pale - domestic weed is different - but the smuggled stuff is like conflict diamonds - this supply chain is evil at its root. Listen Kamala - the root cause of violence and instability in Latin America is North Americans and Europeans who buy smuggled drugs. It is their fault. You could lock up every cartel and elect a total panel of Nobel prize winners in every Government and the drug thing would start over fresh, to feed the drug buyers. That is the meaning of root cause. With these buyers the blood will never ever stop flowing. Stop It. Stop buying this stuff. Stop.

Here is yet another example of hypocrisy on the Left, but it doesn’t matter. The Left KNOW they are hypocrites. They just don’t care. “News” stories about leftist hypocrisy are legion and what good does it do? Action, not name-calling, is what is required to shut these people down. All they care about is power. Calling them names does nothing.

Special counsel John Durham, in what is likely the final trial of his probe into the origins of the FBI’s Trump-Russia collusion investigation, let the bureau off the hook for misconduct, casting it as a hapless victim of a dishonest Russian analyst named Igor Danchenko. Mr. Danchenko, a critical source for the anti-Trump dossier, lied to FBI officials and spurred their “troubling” behavior while going after the Trump campaign in 2016, prosecutors said Tuesday in opening statements at Mr. Danchenko’s trial. “The Steele dossier caused the FBI to engage in troubling conduct. The defendant’s lies played a role in that conduct,” prosecutor Michael Keilty told the jurors

For well over a year now American parents have discovered that while they were sending their children to school and trusting them with local school boards and administrators, these same people were pushing porn books in the school libraries. Many parents around the country were shocked last year when they became aware of the illegal porn books their local schools are pushing on kids in the student libraries. This phenomenon is taking place across the country. One book that was found in several libraries is titled, Gender Queer: A Memoir by Maia Kobabe. The book is a graphic novel with drawings that explains in lurid detail the sexual interactions between

Homeland Security is rushing to recruit volunteers from within its ranks to vet Americans who want to sponsor Ukrainians fleeing their country amid the ongoing war with Russia. The move is the latest sign that U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services is overwhelmed by the demands the Biden administration is placing on it, according to former officials who worry that the raw recruits are being sought to “rubber-stamp” all applications. The volunteers are supposed to carry out the Biden administration’s plan to welcome 100,000 Ukrainian migrants by connecting them with sponsors who have vowed to make sure the newcomers are financially supported and don’t become a burden on taxpayers.

Attempts by Oxford University researchers and AstraZeneca Plc (AZN.L) to create a nasal-spray version of their jointly developed COVID-19 shot suffered a setback on Tuesday as initial testing on humans did not yield the desired protection. An antibody response in the respiratory mucous membranes was seen in only a minority of participants in the trial, which was in the first of usually three phases of clinical testing, the University of Oxford said in a statement on Tuesday. Also, the immune response measured in the blood was weaker than that from a shot-in-the-arm vaccination. Researchers across the world have placed high hopes on nasal spray vaccines

Facing a tough reelection fight, Gov. Brian Kemp has in the past year committed almost all of the $4.8 billion in COVID-19 relief money approved over his opposition by Congress in 2021. That means whoever wins the gubernatorial election in November will have little federal COVID relief money to spend on their priorities going forward. The Republican governor has allocated all but $150 million of the money, announcing over the past year police bonuses, high-speed internet and sewer projects, debit cards for low-income Georgians, money for housing and business programs, and desperately needed funding for Grady Memorial Hospital, among other things.
