New Rule Requires Firearms Dealers to
Disclose Buyer Information to Government

A new policy was implemented last week by the FBI’s National Instant Criminal Background Check System (NICS), which seeks to collect the addresses of gun purchasers in a bid to comply with new federal law. Federally licensed firearms dealers (FFLs) will now be required to provide the FBI with the personal addresses of individuals who attempt to make a purchase but are denied or have a delayed transaction. The FBI will also provide local law enforcement with details of failed transactions, which include delayed transactions, as well as the personal information of rejected individuals. Earlier, firearms dealers only had to provide a purchaser’s state of residence rather than their full address

The change in policy follows President Joe Biden signing the appropriations package for fiscal 2022 in March. The package contained the Violence Against Women Act Reauthorization Act (VAWA) which includes the NICS Denial Notification Act. Well, that answers my question. Yet more unconstitutional garbage stuffed into an eleventh-hour appropriations bill that simply must pass in order to avoid the real Armageddon - a government shutdown. I don't know if it's California-specific, but every transaction here is delayed - there's a 10-day waiting period between purchase and taking physical possession of a firearm.

#1 It is not California specific, I made a purchase last month here in Iowa and it was delayed but the wait was only 3 days. The gun dealer said almost all of his purchases were delayed. He felt it was to try and prevent purchases as people wouldn't want to wait.

Specifically, they're collecting information on people whose background checks were rejected. Is that bad? Meanwhile, Hunter Biden outright lied on on his ATF Form 4473 background check, which is a felony, and the FBI does not care one bit. Had Hunter not lied and his application was rejected, would the FBI then do anything other than laugh when provided with the information?

Most places anymore are shall issue, and insta check clears nearly everyone...except...people who are felons, criminals, under domestic abuse restraints ,adjudicated mentally incompetent, and non-citizens. Those aforementioned commit a crime in attempting to buy a firearm. I have no problem with criminals being found out, followed up with, and filed upon. It is what the insta chek law/process was supposed to do. States and Feds are banned from maintaining any records of Legal Buyers still, illegal attempted buyers have no such protection.. California/NYC and other localities with loonies in power are of course...exceptions.

As far as I'm concerned, it will be a small step for the Feds to go from getting records of people who shouldn't own firearms to getting the records of all people who own firearms. And what are legal owners going to do when armies of jack-booted thugs break your doors down in the middle of the night to confiscate your legally owned firearms. By then, rule of law will mean nothing; not that it means all that much now.

Unconstitutional. I sure hope the ADF and Judicial Watch are on this case. This cannot stand. The next step is that without any provocation, the gov’t can raid your house and take away your firearms. After they do that, the people have zero defense against a tyrannical overarching government that will subdue the people. It has happened before in history. Don’t Democrats ever learn anything? Don’t Republicans? This cannot stand.

During the current Ukrainian war, the media has created a mythology that the Left was tough on Vladimir Putin’s Russia. And thus, now it simply continues its hard-nosed efforts in Ukraine. But nothing could be further from the truth. Aside from Biden’s original panic of evacuating American diplomatic personnel from Kyiv, offering a ride out of Ukraine for the Zelenskyy government that would have effectively collapsed his nation’s resistance, and hesitation in selling Ukraine offensive weapons, there is also a prior legacy that had done a great deal of harm. Indeed, many of America’s current difficulties in Ukraine originate from the Obama-Biden Administration’s former disastrous policies toward Russia birthed between 2009-2016.

Donald Trump is the kingmaker of the Republican Party, and for that reason alone, he remains the best choice for 2024 despite the firestorm of negative media coverage, censorship, and the looming threat of indictment, which have haunted him since being forced out of office in January 2021.
