FTA: Such Chinese hometown associations hosting the overseas police service stations are often linked to the Chinese regime’s “United Front” system, according to Safeguard Defenders. The network of thousands of overseas groups is loosely overseen by the United Front Work Department (UFWD), a powerful Party agency that works to advance the regime’s interests abroad, including by carrying out foreign influence operations, suppressing dissident movements, gathering intelligence, and facilitating the transfer of technology to China. Also coerced into returning to China. “Return or commit suicide."

During the current Ukrainian war, the media has created a mythology that the Left was tough on Vladimir Putin’s Russia. And thus, now it simply continues its hard-nosed efforts in Ukraine. But nothing could be further from the truth. Aside from Biden’s original panic of evacuating American diplomatic personnel from Kyiv, offering a ride out of Ukraine for the Zelenskyy government that would have effectively collapsed his nation’s resistance, and hesitation in selling Ukraine offensive weapons, there is also a prior legacy that had done a great deal of harm. Indeed, many of America’s current difficulties in Ukraine originate from the Obama-Biden Administration’s former disastrous policies toward Russia birthed between 2009-2016.

Three Latino members of the Los Angeles City Council and a top county labor official held a conversation last fall that included racist remarks, derisive statements about their colleagues and council President Nury Martinez saying a white councilman handled his young Black son as though he were an “accessory,” according to a recording of the meeting reviewed by The Times. Martinez, while discussing Councilman Mike Bonin’s child, said, “Parece changuito,” or “He’s like a monkey,” soon afterward. A few minutes after Martinez discussed Bonin’s son, the topic of conversation moved to Los Angeles County Dist. Atty. George Gascón, who was facing growing political opposition. “F— that guy,” Martinez said,

A new policy was implemented last week by the FBI’s National Instant Criminal Background Check System (NICS), which seeks to collect the addresses of gun purchasers in a bid to comply with new federal law. Federally licensed firearms dealers (FFLs) will now be required to provide the FBI with the personal addresses of individuals who attempt to make a purchase but are denied or have a delayed transaction. The FBI will also provide local law enforcement with details of failed transactions, which include delayed transactions, as well as the personal information of rejected individuals. Earlier, firearms dealers only had to provide a purchaser’s state of residence rather than their full address

A federal judge in Texas has issued a ruling that prevents federal mandates from imposing pronouns and unisex bathrooms on employers. In State of Texas v Equal Employment Opportunity Commission (EEOC), Matthew Kacsmaryk, U.S. District Judge for the Northern District of Texas in Amarillo, declared the March 2, 2021 U.S. Department of Health and Human Services (HHS) Office of Civil Rights Guidance and June 15, 2021 EEOC guidance unlawful. However, the court stopped short of granting the state’s request for injunctive relief. “Title VII as interpreted in Bostock does not require such accommodations,” wrote Judge Kacsmaryk in his Oct. 1 decision.

Donald Trump is the kingmaker of the Republican Party, and for that reason alone, he remains the best choice for 2024 despite the firestorm of negative media coverage, censorship, and the looming threat of indictment, which have haunted him since being forced out of office in January 2021. In the time since Trump has been gone, Americans have watched their economy tank, their freedoms attacked, and we are now disconcertingly close to an out-and-out ground war with nuclear Russia. Meanwhile, Democrats plan to do irreparable damage to institutions (like the Supreme Court) that have checked the worst excesses of liberal hegemony. Florida’s law barring businesses from requiring proof of COVID-19 vaccination is likely legal, a federal appeals court has ruled. The law, passed in 2021, says that a business “may not require patrons or customers to provide any documentation certifying COVID-19 vaccination or postinfection recovery to gain access to, entry upon, or service from the business operations in this state.” “Florida’s statute is a regulation of economic conduct that only incidentally burdens speech, which does not implicate the First Amendment,” (snip) “And its burdens on interstate commerce do not exceed the benefits of furthering Florida’s substantial interests in protecting its residents from discrimination and invasions of privacy.”

Concerns over President Joe Biden’s recent very public displays of possibly age-related mental impairments have jumped among voters since mid-summer, the latest I&I/TIPP Poll shows. And these worries aren’t partisan, with a majority of all political groups, including Democrats, now expressing concern. In early August, we asked Americans: “Some people are concerned about President Biden’s mental health. How concerned are you about President Biden’s mental health?” At the time, a number of public displays of unsteadiness, confusion, and verbal gaffes seen in the media suggested to many that the nation’s commander-in-chief’s mental acuity was questionable.

Haitian Prime Minister Ariel Henry made the request for help to the larger international community as a whole over the weekend because of "the risk of a major humanitarian crisis." Ariel asked for a "specialized armed force" to intervene. Guterres sent a letter to the U.N. Security Council outlining various options for enhanced security support. The Democrat media, in conjunction with their allies in the polling industry, have driven the false narrative that the Democrats are likely to defy both history and their historically awful record and do fairly well in the midterms, particularly in Senate races. In a move sure to raise a few eyebrows, Colorado has “accidentally” sent out 30,000 voter registration cards to non-citizens. That’s according to a report from Colorado Public Radio. According to the outlet, the 30,000 cards were sent to non-citizens because of a mix-up with the formatting of the query involving DMV records. In Colorado, illegal immigrants are able to obtain a driver’s license, which was apparently the nexus of the issue. The postcards were mailed to residents last week who had non-citizen Colorado driver’s licenses. The state sends postcards every two years to Coloradans it believes are eligible to vote but not yet registered.
