North Korea fired a ballistic missile over Japan for the first time in five years, prompting a warning for residents to take cover and a temporary suspension of train operations in the northern part of the country. Tuesday's launch was Pyongyang's fifth in 10 days, amid military muscle-flexing by the United States and South Korea, which staged trilateral anti-submarine exercises last week with Japanese naval forces. The Japanese government warned citizens to take cover as the missile appeared to have flown over and past its territory before falling into the Pacific Ocean. It said it did not use any defence measures to destroy the missile.

The government did a really poor job in letting the people know the missile was headed this way. They couldn't decide to intercept the NK missile or reciprocate to protect the citizens. If it was for real, we'd all be dead and China will come in to take over the real estate.

Maybe we should be encouraging North Korea to keep launching their missiles until they run out of money and materials and trigger a popular revolution.

What Japan is going to have to do is shoot down any North Korean missiles that enter or overfly Japanese national territory. That’s the initial way that the Japanese can make those North Korean missiles resemble paper tigers.

Tokyo has a population of almost 14 million people. How on earth could evacuate that many people? And where would you put them? NK doesn't have to bomb, nuke, make a missile strike on Tokyo. All they have to do is convince the population to make that evacuation. It would cause far more damage..

Even among the most extreme Democratic secretaries of state, Michigan’s Jocelyn Benson stands out. A former employee of the left-wing Southern Poverty Law Center and Democratic National Committee, Benson’s a committed Democratic activist. And as Michigan’s secretary of state during the chaotic 2020 presidential election, Benson played a key role in making last-minute changes to election law to bolster Democratic voter turnout and swing Michigan in then-candidate Joe Biden’s favor. When a $12 million grant from Mark Zuckerberg — “Zuckbucks” — was funneled to Michigan through the left-wing Center for Election Innovation and Research

Six months into Russia’s invasion of Ukraine the unthinkable has happened: Russia is losing. Vladimir Putin is determined, nevertheless, and increasingly desperate. He has undertaken a partial mobilization, formally annexed four regions of Ukraine and renewed his threat of using nuclear weapons — “I’m not kidding.” Is the threat real? And if so, how should the United States respond? Russia has a substantial nuclear arsenal, including strategic missiles and bombers and a new autonomous torpedo designed to explode in harbors to create a massive tsunami. These warheads’ explosive powers range in the hundreds of thousands to several million tons of TNT equivalent.

David Brown told reporters hours after the latest shooting. “We’re in a process of looking [and] identifying things we can do

A panel of energy ministers of the OPEC+ alliance of oil-exporting countries on Wednesday agreed to recommend a historically large cut in output, a stinging rebuke to the Biden administration that is likely to mean higher prices at gas pumps in the United States and Europe. The alliance, which is led by Saudi Arabia and includes Russia, is meeting in Vienna to negotiate the largest production cut since the pandemic first struck. The energy ministers who comprise the cartel’s Joint Ministerial Monitoring Committee recommended a cut of two million barrels per day in the group’s overall production. A final decision will be voted on later on Wednesday.

The Organization of the Petroleum Exporting Countries (OPEC) and allied oil producing nations have backed plans to dramatically slash oil supplies in a bitter blow to President Joe Biden. At an OPEC Plus meeting in Vienna, the cartel's Joint Ministerial Monitoring Group recommended oil output is cut by 2 million barrels a day, or around two percent of the global oil supply. Ahead of the meeting, it was reported both Saudi Arabia and Russia were expected to push for reductions of 1 to 2 million barrels per day.
