This is Not America: Political Censorship

The United States government is unconstitutionally targeting millions of Americans for their political speech by directly contracting with private ‘third parties’ that flag their viewpoints for alleged ‘misinformation.’ The federal government has contracted with at least five private companies or public non-profits to ‘flag’ Americans’ views on everything from Covid-19 to the 2020 election. In an editorial at Just the News, John Solomon and Greg Piper reported on four of these groups, but the report suggests that the radical left’s operation to chill free speech is just the tip of the iceberg. “A consortium of four private groups worked with the departments of Homeland Security (DHS) and State

I am sure that these "private "third parties"" monitor us here at L.Com very closely. However, we must continue to express our views and opinions openly here as we have always done. But in doing so, always be careful to not disclose too much personal information about yourself when posting comments here.

Once again, those stupid commie Dems use a system to their ends...while conservatives either ignore or sleep. It doesn't take genius to hit the "report" button on social media to complain about content. The progs streamlined the process, and likely labeled their portal input to "expedite". They can always "plausibly" say it was the public "censoring" this stuff, that they were only looking out for your security and preventing hate crimes. I understand the social media giants aren't close to fair, and the point is that conservatives don't even try, it seems. They'd rather post some retort and depend on the good sense of readers. Always a day late and a few dollars short when it comes to social media.

Well, so the lawless Executive Branch of Govt. is gone. So now it's left up to the other 2 Branches, Legislative and Judicial to restore law and order in our Country. The question is, do we have courageous men and women to stand up to these lawless thugs in office and weed them out? We the People have the answer at the polling booths. And honest people counting the votes. Paper ballots, one day voting, and voter i.d.

If humanity was perfect, our wisest founders would not have needed to amend the Constitution with the Bill of Rights. It is those great first ten amendments that has made our Constitution the most unique governing document in world history. It is why our Bill of Rights is still the target of despots, both foreign and domestic, to this day. From George Washington, to Lincoln, to Reagan, to Trump our greatest leaders have reminded us that although our freedoms are God-given, they are in constant danger from the forces of evil in the guise of those who crave power over others. As John Adams stated, these guarantees were made for a moral people. We are no longer a moral people. Our slide into depravity began in 1963 when the Supreme Court removed Bible reading from our public schools, just shy of 60 years ago. In 1969 California became the first state to allow no-fault divorce. In 1973, the Supreme Court gave the nation abortion with Roe v. Wade. Same-sex marriage was codified in 2015. They removed God from our schools, made divorce and cohabitation acceptable, killed babies in the womb, then "sanctified" homosexual/lesbian relationships, and are now offering trans-humanism. Men now believe they are gods. The spying on and manipulating of our comments on social media is small potatoes to the evil already perpetrated upon us. Yes, lawsuits need to be filed by those in positions to do so, and articles written to alert the general public to the dangerous forces arrayed against us. However, for us out here in keyboard land our greatest weapons are prayer and fasting for we are the front line warriors in the true Spiritual Battle that is before us. Read and meditate upon the Holy Scriptures, for there is nothing new under the sun. Our founders also knew the power of public communal prayer. Those among us who are churched must joyfully invite family and friends to join us. For the unchurched, there is a spiritual community out there for you. This is no time to be alone; an ember by itself looses its glow quickly. Before undertaking any political action, start with prayer and stay in prayer. In God We Trust.

Decades ago, Stevie Remington, Executive Director of the Oregon ACLU liked to say that "The remedy for speech you don't like is more speech." The Executive Branch is supposed to be a co-equal branch of government, along with the Judiciary and Legislative Branches. Under the Biden administration, we don't even know who is running the Executive Branch. Because both houses of Congress are under democrat control, the Legislative Branch has failed to provide badly needed checks and balances on the Executive. In addition, the betrayal of the Supreme Court by someone on the inside, has led to death threats against conservative members of the court. This, along with demonstrations outside the homes of conservative justices, are efforts designed to intimidate and silence. Restoring checks and balances begins with recognizing how out of balance our system has become. Republican control of both houses of Congress would go a long way toward forcing this dangerous, irresponsible Executive Branch back into its own lane.

Voting for the GOP can be painful, well, generally is quite painful, because they rarely wield power once they get it. After being voted into office, Republicans starting with Eisenhower have refused to demolish the vast, far-left administrative state the Democrats have built up and instead just fiddle around with tax cuts and boosting military spending while the country drifts to the left. (Snip) But, in what’s probably shocking or startling news, it’s looking increasingly likely that the GOP might actually do something about the Hunter Biden problem if they retake power. LaToya Cantrell, the controversial Democratic mayor of New Orleans, has said she will repay the city for $30,000 she claimed in city cash for first class flights after living rent-free in a government apartment just three miles from her house. The mayor was forced to pay for the flights after a city attorney was brought in who determined that Cantrell, as a city employee, was obliged by policy to seek the cheapest fares or reimburse the city for deluxe expenses. Cantrell spent around $10,000 on her own flat bed seat and blew a similar amount on a first-class return to France earlier this year - while her aides traveled in coach.

In the “Commitment to America,” Republicans propose a parent bill of rights for K-12 education. Virginia Gov. Glenn Youngkin is under fire for giving parents the right to be notified if their child is expressing gender dysphoria and requiring children to use the appropriate bathroom. While the media and radical trans activists have criticized both moves, polls show most voters reject explicit sexual content, and parents want to be involved. A new poll from Rassmussen Reports is no exception. A large majority of likely voters (77%) are at least somewhat concerned that school-age children get exposed to sexually explicit material that is not age appropriate.

Basing their decision on 2004’s Hurricane Charlie, Yost and several others decided to ride out the category four storm rather than evacuate when officials issued a mandatory evacuation order for Lee County on September 27, one day before Ian made landfall.
