Dozens of House Republicans told the Biden administration they fear a Chinese company’s purchase of farmland near a military base in North Dakota will imperil national security. Rep. Carlos Gimenez, Florida Republican, sounded the alarm about the Fufeng Group’s purchase near Grand Forks Air Force Base in a new letter signed by 50 colleagues and sent to Defense Secretary Lloyd Austin, Treasury Secretary Janet Yellen and Agriculture Secretary Tom Vilsack. They fear the company will be too cozy with the communist government in Beijing. “The Grand Forks Air Force Base has exceptional intelligence, surveillance, and reconnaissance capabilities, making the recently purchased land the ideal location to closely monitor and intercept

It would be interesting to know how many Chinese ports the US manages and how much land near Chinese military bases the US owns. Etc.

Treasury's Yellen is too busy worrying about the impact of less abortions in the black community. Defense's Austin is too busy seeking out white supremacy groups within the DoD. And Ag's Vilsack is too bust figuring out how to get billions of tax dollars to under served black and LGBTQ farmers and ranchers.
And yet US companies in China are prohibited from actually owning the factories that make heir products.

A lot late and millions of dollars short. Who approved this sale and when? Republicans should demand immediately that imminent domain be declared for that land as Air Force use is required and stop the sale.

How can we be so foolish as to sell United States land to our enemy? Or to any other country. It makes you wonder if our politicians, diplomats or whomever makes the rules, has any judgement at all. Certainly it isn’t the average voter, who would know better.

Congress is just hearing about this now? It has been reported for months, including here on Lucianne.com several times. This wasn't done in secret and it's not the first such purchase. Must be election time because they are finally waking up.

Seriously, what do our pathetic politicians do anyway? Their sole focus appears to be on re-election. This sale and others like it is a threat to national security. Stop selling properties to the Chinese or any foreign entity. Can’t believe how apathetic the political class is to this issue. The Chinese and Japanese and who knows else have been buying up American properties for decades. They should have passed a law to prevent this long ago. No surprise, they let any Tom, Dick, and Harry walk across our border with zero vetting. The most serious danger we have in this country today is the political class.

These clowns either didn't know, or were hiding this deal until Tucker brought it up on his program over a month ago. Then people started contacting their offices in D.C.

Forget having Chinese spy's like Dianne Feinstein's driver, Eric Small-well's girlfriend Fang Fang or Hunter BIden's underage lovers. We just let the Chicom's buy land near our military bases (or any freaking where) and all is hunky dory. No big security risk right Biden voters? Democrats have always been pathetic on foreign affairs with RINOs being weak in the face of it all. The only reason weasels like McCarthy are bringing up this issue is because of the midterms. Nothing more.

We should be super worried about this one, because of proximity to a military site, but should also do something about the Chinese purchase of farm land, that will, at some point, mean we will have to grovel to them for our basics grains etc.

None of them object to the Senate Minority Leader's wife having deep family connections to Chinese "business interests," or indeed with her serving as head of the US Department of Transportation under President Trump. The same Republican Party was also fine with President Boy George's proposal to let the Chinese handle port security in Los Angeles during the waning months of his reign (when "the gloves came off"; remember that?); only a huge volume of angry calls from constituents derailed that one. But bless them, they sometimes raise a pointed objection as a reminder that they're fighting for us.
