Exclusive: $20 billion payday: Biden’s
border surge sends smuggling prices soaring

The migrant smuggling economy at the U.S.-Mexico border now tops $20 billion and the cartels have made at least $2.6 billion in profit over the past 12 months just from controlling the routes illegal immigrants use, according to a Washington Times analysis. Both amounts are up substantially from the Trump and Obama years because more people are coming to the border and because they are paying higher prices. Mexican migrants are paying an average of $8,600 in total smuggling fees this year, according to The Washington Times’ database of smuggling cases. That’s up roughly $2,000 from 2019, the last pre-pandemic year under the Trump administration.

I'm going to be a little bit nasty here.... These dumbass illegal alien invaders DESERVE to be ripped off by the Coyotes. They don't have to hire a smuggler to get them in. All they have to do is get to the border, walk up to a border checkpoint and ask a 'border guard' for asylum. After a few days in a holding facility, being fed, clothed, issued a new cell phone and backpack full of goodies and get the paperwork done for welfare and voter registration, Joebama Biden will send a bus or airplane to take them to the city or town of their choice, or a nice Republican run town if they have no preference. Given how the U.S. State Department and various 'NGOs' run ads in the newspapers and hand out pamphlets in Mexico and Central America on how to get into the USA, you have to be willfully ignorant to decide to hire a smuggler for thousands of dollars to get you in. They don't even have to rent a child to pretend to be a refugee family anymore, to get in like they did a few years ago.

Hundreds of Homeland Security employees were paid unemployment benefits during the coronavirus pandemic despite staying on the job, the department’s inspector general revealed Thursday. Even worse, the Department of fHomeland Security paid some of the money itself under an emergency unemployment program that the Trump administration “hastily” created in 2020, investigators said. That meant the department was making bogus payments to its employees. The audit is the latest to ding the federal government over its reckless pace of pandemic spending. Survivors of the mass shooting at a suburban Chicago Fourth of July parade and family members of those killed filed 11 lawsuits on Wednesday against the manufacturer of the rifle used in the attack, accusing Smith & Wesson of illegally targeting ads at young men at risk of committing mass violence. The sweeping effort by dozens of victims of the Highland Park shooting, anti-gun violence advocates and private attorneys is the latest attempt to hold gun manufacturers accountable for a mass killing despite broad protections in federal law. The strategy mirrors the approach used by relatives of victims of the 2012 Sandy Hook school shooting, who in February reached

President Biden on Wednesday signed off on a $1.1 billion security assistance package to Ukraine, bringing the total U.S. commitment to $16.2 billion since the start of Russia’s invasion seven months ago. The support will include 18 additional High Mobility Artillery Rocket Systems (HIMARS) that have proven to be highly effective on the battlefield. Also included will be 150 Humvees and 150 tactical vehicles needed to tow heavy weapons, Pentagon officials said Wednesday. The latest package comes as part of the Ukraine Security Assistance Initiative (USAI). The program does not pull weapons directly from U.S. stockpiles, but uses congressionally-appropriated funds to contract for the hardware through the private sector.

Transgender men and nonbinary teenagers who underwent breast removal surgery reported having a better body image afterward, according to a new study. Northwestern Medicine looked at 70 female-body patients between the ages of 13 and 24 who either received “top surgery,” or mastectomies (36 patients), or who received testosterone therapy but didn’t get mastectomies (34 patients). Researchers had patients report about their body image before they began their treatment path and then three months later. The study found that “gender-affirming top surgery is associated with significant improvement in chest dysphoria, gender congruence and body image in transmasculine and nonbinary teens and young adults,” according to a press release

Tucked inside Democrats’ new spending bill is $15.3 million in emergency money for the FBI to investigate Afghan evacuees brought to the U.S. during last year’s chaotic airlift. Congress is pumping the money into the FBI just a month after Director Christopher A. Wray told lawmakers that the bureau was having to conduct “lots of interviews” to keep track of the Afghans and obliquely warned of “a number of disruptions” of activities. Lawmakers said the money is the latest evidence of a hasty evacuation that jeopardizes American safety. “The Biden administration’s decision to let tens of thousands of unvetted Afghans into our country first and ask questions later has backfired,”

Results showed children who received all or most of their routine childhood shots had a 36 per cent higher risk of being diagnosed with persistent asthma by age five than kids who got fewer vaccines. Yellen would be the most consequential exit from President Joe Biden's White House so far, especially as the nation grapples with record-high inflation and gas prices and classically defined recession with two straight quarters of negative GDP growth.

Since my foray into politics, I have come to understand that our system comprises insiders and outsiders and that Donald Trump was the consummate outsider. He was opposed by the system on both sides of the political aisle. Admittedly, I counted myself amongst the opposition.
