Italy is expected to elect its first far-right leader since Benito Mussolini when the nationalist Giorgia Meloni is swept into power on Sunday's vote.
The Brothers of Italy leader has been dominating the polls despite a number of gaffes in her campaign, which saw her forced to suspend a party candidate for praising Hitler and a close associate accused of performing a Nazi salute.
The unmarried mother-of-one was also slammed for sharing a video last month of a Ukrainian refugee allegedly being raped by an asylum seeker in the city of Piacenza, to whip up anti-migrant hysteria.
The 45-year-old, who would be the country's first ever female prime minister,

Draining the swamp Globally. The whole world is changing. The Central Bank/Fed are on their last days. Get rid of the fiat currency (the $ or Euro) The people should control the money. Not the Government. You know what the Government would do if WE let them have control. Crypto (non government control) Gold/Metals are all good.

Comparing her to Mussolini. No bias there, huh?

Mussolini was "Big Government". As such, he shares no relationship with the Enlightenment values of the "right" in America.

People are continuing to realize that the lefties are way out there, dumb. That’s the one good thing about Biden being president. The world now sees lefty Biden and how stupid and disastrous he, and all leftists, are.

Mind-numbling idiotic headline. Mussolini was only "far-right" because the communists called him that -- didn't want anyone treading on their "workers of the world unite" sham. Mussolini, Hitler, Stalin, Mao, Pol Pot, all one and the same, only difference is that Mussolini might have been the most doveish of the lot.

Stopped reading when MUSSOLINI was tagged as far right. He was a Marxist and Commie. Period.
This is an attempt to tag all right wing voters as little Mussolinies.

Mussolini was a Fascist, which was a form of socialism. He was far Left, not far right. The Left now equates nationalism with Fascism, but at the time of Mussolini every country in the world was nationalistic, and today, with the exception of the US, most still are.

Only the left would pull a stunt comparing her to Mussolini who was a left-winger and buddy of Hitler. Hitler was a socialist and if you don't believe that, look up what the acronym for NAZI in English stands for and you will see socialist aka left policies, just the same management style as Biden's where he is using Hitler's tactics to divide us.

Mussolini was not far right. Dictionaries added to the definition of socialism in 2009 - far right. As we know, Nazi, communist, and fascist where all leftists. In the world of woke, up is down and down is up. Let's get everybody fooled so we can trap them. History will repeat itself. Stupidity is in charge - look at the Biden. He's not in charge - his handlers are.

Benito Mussolini was an ardent SOCIALIST.
He started his political career as a member of the Italian Socialist Party for 14 years. In 1910, he was appointed editor of the weekly La Lotta di Classe (The Class Struggle), and the following year he published an essay entitled "The Trentino as seen by a Socialist." He was kicked out of the party because wanted Italy to join WWI. When kicked out he said:
"Do not believe, even for a moment, that by stripping me of my membership card you do the same to my Socialist beliefs, nor that you would restrain me of continuing to work in favor of Socialism and of the Revolution."
In fact, in 1943, Benito Mussolini promoted the “socialization of the economy,” also known as fascist socialization; for this process Mussolini sought the advice of the founder of the Italian Communist Party, Nicola Bombacci; the communist was the main intellectual author of the “Verona Manifesto,” the historical declaration with which fascism promoted this process of economic “socialization” to deepen anti-capitalism and autarchism, and in which Italy became known as the “Italian Social Republic.”
So tired of people claiming socialism is the opposite of fascism. No, to quote Giovanni Gentile, a neo-Hegelian philosopher, was the intellectual author of the “doctrine of fascism" (and advisor to Mussolini and Hitler):
"Fascism is a form of socialism, in fact, it is its most viable form.”

Mussolini was a socialist. Thought I would correct that issue. But great news that Meloni is right, and anti-woke. Those attributes will be the only thing that can save Italy.

Mussolini was FAR LEFT. He was a fascist, that was the actual name of his party. And, they believe in very big government and tight government control of everything, which is a leftist concept NOT on the right, which is free markets, open economies, smaller government.
The German National SOCIALIST Party and the Italian Fascist party were BOTH on the left, and yet both were anti-Communist, too. But they were NOT of the right side of politics, no matter how often the leftist media repeats this lie.

Compared to Mussolini. Gee, the media must really hate her and are throwing a tantrum because their candidate LOST. Guessing the left is already working on plans for her ouster. Plus, its Italy where governments don't last long.

When I first lived in Italy, I was amazed when my mother was chatting with some Italian neighbors and they mentioned how everyone cheats on their taxes. My mother commented that "Well, we pay all the taxes we owe. We wouldn't cheat. Why would you cheat on taxes?" (paraphrase).
The reply was amazing, and I assume, true, at least in the late sixties. The Italian lady said, "If we paid all the taxes we owe, it adds up to more than 100% of our income".
After more discussion, apparently as the government fails to enforce the tax laws due to cheating, they just layer on another tax, which is also cheated on, so they layer on another....until the actually owed taxes exceeded 100%. At least that is what we were told by Italians in about 1967 or so.
I assume that it was true then, perhaps still is true.
But I think that since WW2 Italy has averaged about one new government per year, although I haven't paid attention in decades, perhaps no longer the case.

Mussolini was a fascist. Fascism is a variant of communism and competes directly with socialism. Mussolini was a far left, not far right leader.
