Outraged residents of a smart Bronx area have lashed NYC Mayor Eric Adams' plan to house 1,000 illegal immigrants in tents in the parking lot of a treasured local beauty spot. Over the next few weeks, the migrants will begin to be housed in tents in a parking lot in the Orchard Beach section of the borough, next to waspy Westchester County.(Snip)Residents of the Orchard Beach area are far from happy with the developments. Sheila Para, 55, a retired teacher who lives 10 minutes from the neighborhood, told 'Oh no! This is my backyard. It’s going to be a hot mess... Just a hot mess.

Ah, well! You broke it, you bought it. Surely your replacements deserve a taste of the best the Rotten Apple has to offer. Same should be done with Marisol's Vineyard; seize the estates and turn them into the refugee zones the residents demand.

Not migrants. They are illegals. Tell mr mayor to put the illegals on his street. Are tents really protection against the cold weather of fall? The illegals would be wise to start the trek back to their home land.

The locals know that when you live in a tent, you gotta go #1 and #2 somewhere, and it ain't gonna be in the mayor's yard. And that's true whether you live in a penthouse or in a tent yourself. Next time, folks, pick a different mayor from a different party. (--advice from a smart-aleck from out West)

#9, New York voters usually do not get to enjoy the consequences of their magnanimity because they rarely, if ever, are faced with the consequences of their decisions. Now, it appears they will get the opportunity to deal with those noble creatures who have made the long arduous trek for a better life. Isn’t this what they voted for? Isn’t diversity their strength? The rest of us out here in flyover country who are law abiding, understand the concept of sovereignty, and have a strong desire to protect our communities from a massive influx of illegals oppose sanctuary cities. You asked for that status and you got it. Step back for a moment and consider just how much the democrat party does for you. Your cities are more violent and dangerous and financially in every measurable way they are in serious decline. You did this to yourselves and there is only one way forward for a better life. Never vote for a democrat again. One final tip, please do not move to any red state. We do not want or need your foolishness. You stay put and fix what you have broken.

That is a beautiful stretch of beach. Not for long. Why does it take the DMUK to bring exclusive coverage of this coming disaster? Every newspaper for fifty miles around should be carrying it in blaring headlines. Each of those "climate-controlled" tents is going to take a police presence to prevent the inevitable rapes, robberies and drug use that will occur. Every patron of the beach and the country club will be hounded by panhandlers all day long. What a stupid, clueless mayor NYC has.

I live next to the woods. If I put cat food out every night on my deck I get visitors, skunks, raccoons, opossums, you get the picture. Pretty soon my deck becomes the restroom of the woods. Now if I keep putting out food it becomes absolutely uninhabitable. This is exactly what the democrats and their sanctuary policies are doing. And now we’ve got the criminal skunks, raccoons and opossums being released onto our deck.

There is a big difference between an illegal alien seeking asylum in the USA, and actually being found to be eligible for asylum by the immigration courts in the USA in accordance with US Immigration law. Historically over 90% of borderline asylum cases have been denied by the immigration courts after those courts found that the illegal alien involved was not statutorily eligible for asylum in the USA. What is happening now is that Biden and the Democrats are simply ignoring the immigration laws to flood the USA with mostly all poor and uneducated so-called migrants, who are actually illegal aliens, using the fraudulent guise that entire third world peoples, in numbers up to in the billions, who fit within the ethnic and racial categories of Democrat identity politics, with the political objective to ultimately change the majority population of the USA to a country where a coalition of minority peoples, of both domestic and foreign origin, make up the future majority population of the USA, who will embrace socialist Democrat politics, after being legalized by way of Democrat designed “path to citizenship” amnesty programs, and are given US voting rights, of course in the minds of the Democrats, to become almost all socialist Democrat supporters and voters in massive numbers (tens of millions) helping the Democrats remain in permanent political power, able to send the wimpy Republicans into political oblivion or to prison. As in the long-term the leftist, progressive, and socialist Democrats do not consider those millions of so-called migrants to be illegal aliens, but to be future Democrat supporters and voters. That’s why Biden and the Democrats created their “open borders” and have completely refused to enforce the immigration law policies from the get-go!

Is Joe Biden President? That’s the question to ask after staffers walked back Biden’s latest remarks on Taiwan. During his rather uneven “60 Minutes” interview with Scott Pelley last weekend, Biden firmly and clearly announced that the United States would defend Taiwan in the event of a Chinese invasion. This was a dramatic statement, and a substantial shift from America’s traditional policy of “strategic ambiguity” on Taiwan, in which our response to Chinese saber-rattling over the island nation was essentially “fool around and find out.” Biden was not at all ambiguous: If China went to war with Taiwan, it would be war with the United States and its allies. That departure made some sense.
