Chicago Mayor Lightfoot tells McDonald's

Chicago Mayor Lori Lightfoot fired back at the CEO of McDonald’s after he highlighted the difficulty rising crime in the city has caused for his business, telling him he needs to "educate himself" on the matter. "I think what would have been helpful is for the McDonald's CEO to educate himself before he spoke," the Chicago Democrat said during a media availability on Tuesday. Donald’s CEO Chris Kempczinski warned in a speech at the Economic Club of Chicago luncheon last week that it was time to "face facts" and acknowledge that companies have been leaving the city over the past

Comments:

Sounds like he has already educated himself.

Mayor Beetlejuice is in some serious denial of reality right now. All she can do is flail helplessly from her office as company after company leaves her city, sick of the crime. I truly long for the days of Mayor Daly, who managed to keep a lid on this violence. When Daly suddenly left office at the behest of Obama so Rahm Emanuel could have the job, Chicago went into the sewer.

Not to mention completely incompetent. What were these voters thinking? Is this another woke candidate they had to elect because she’s black and gay? Will they ever learn?

You know crime is bad when the city is used as a yardstick to compare other cities that are even worse. I am of course referring to New Orleans, which a recent article described as "Having a Murder rate even worse than Chicago." Fortunately for me, I am safely settled down in Flyover country, where people are still fairly normal.

What keeps these demented democrats in power? Is it voter fraud or insane democrats who vote for the lawlessness that always comes with any democrat mayor? How can people be so stupid? Do they have any semblance of self-preservation? I just don’t get it. Law and order and a safe community is paramount to me and my family. Flyover country would never accept this and rightly so. Any business willing to put their people and property at risk in a democrat run city, has a screw loose. If they want lawlessness, let ‘em have it, but you don’t have to feed it.

Washington — During a campaign-style Friday speech at a Democratic National Committee event in Washington, President Joe Biden boasted about the three-month decline in gas prices and about the unemployment rate. But he used inaccurate figures on both subjects. (Snip) Facts First: Biden’s claim about average gasoline prices was false, as the White House acknowledged by correcting the official transcript after CNN inquired about the claim on Friday afternoon. In fact, zero states have an average price under $2.99 per gallon, figures from GasBuddy and the American Automobile Association show. As the correction notes, Biden got a key digit wrong:

New England is approaching what grid officials and utility executives expect to be a very pricey winter for energy consumers and one that risks a shortage of energy during extended periods of extreme cold. It's not an unfamiliar forecast for the region, where cold temperatures and natural gas pipeline constraints have a record of driving supply tightness, and thereby driving prices up, during cold winter months. But this year, those pipeline constraints are overlaid by extremely competitive energy markets globally and fuel commodity prices that are already higher than normal going into winter. That's led to warnings that $1,000 monthly

The good news for President Biden is that his national approval rating is on the rise, including in our recent NBC News poll (where it inched up from 42% in August to 45% this month among registered voters).
