Appeals court sides with DOJ, overrules

A federal appeals court has sided with the Biden Justice Department by authorizing the government to continue its criminal investigation against former President Donald. J. Trump by allowing it to regain access to documents seized by the FBI during the storming of Mar-a-Lago last month. On Wednesday, a three-judge panel of the U.S. Court of Appeals for the 11th Circuit in Atlanta overruled federal Judge Aileen Cannon who blocked the feds from using around 100 documents that were marked as classified when she approved the appointment of a special master to review the material confiscated from Trump’s residence.

this only applies to the 100 "items" with classified markings...NOT the 11,000+ other items that they seized. They made the claim that THEY are entitled to exclusive access and use of ALL Items, and Trump via his lawyers is barred from any access to ANY of them. They claim that it all belongs "To the Government, not Trump", yet the "Office of the former President" IS a govt office, has govt funding, govt security, funds spent by the Secret Service of a $600,000contract to build and create a secure document storage/handling system and space at the "Office of the former President". When Obama left he shipped 300MILLION documents and items to a private warehouse in Chicago where NO ONE was allowed any access for over 3 years....he finally demanded and received another $3million to ship it all back to DC to be stored in a govt warehouse where STILL access is nearly impossible, and requests are nearly all denied. Imagine the "Poutrage" if Trump had ordered all of THAT to be seized by the FBI and tasked hundreds of agents to comb through it all in a "Criminal Probe".

"The United States has three levels of classification: Confidential, Secret, and Top Secret. Each level of classification indicates an increasing degree of sensitivity. * * * * * The United States does not have a British-style Official Secrets Act. Instead, several laws protect classified information, including the Espionage Act of 1917, the Atomic Energy Act of 1954 and the Intelligence Identities Protection Act of 1982. A 2013 report to Congress noted that the relevant laws have been mostly used to prosecute foreign agents, or those passing classified information to them, and that leaks to the press have rarely been prosecuted.[3] The legislative and executive branches of government, including US presidents, have frequently leaked classified information to journalists.[4][page needed][5][6][7] Congress has repeatedly resisted or failed to pass a law that generally outlaws disclosing classified information. Most espionage law criminalizes only national defense information; only a jury can decide if a given document meets that criterion, and judges have repeatedly said that being "classified" does not necessarily make information become related to the "national defense" https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Classified_information_in_the_United_States

Hey Turninggrey, you answered your own question. The answer to "What is wrong with Georgia?" is "Atlanta" The surrounding counties are also problematic. The 2020 election put the cherry on top of what has been becoming Hollywood East Meets DC West right in the heart of Georgia. The state has been overrun with outsiders for years and, thanks to RINOs like Kemp, they keep hanging around government. The Stacey gang is also hard at work in the shadows. The midterms are shaping up to mirror 2020 if they all have their way.

This is a blatantly unconstitutional decision by the 11th Circus, and Trump should immediately appeal to the Supreme Court. In 1988, the Supreme Court ruled in Navy vs. Egan that the US President has the final say on what is or is not Classified, and is not overruled by Congress, the Judiciary, or any federal agency--which ultimately report to him. Even Justice Roberts would vote to make it 5-4 because of the rock solid, recent precedent set by SCOTUS. The 11th Circuit's decision was grossly in error and someone should get shamed.

Shocker! Deep State Judiciarch says Deep State can do whatever it wants. But earlier poster is right: Even before the 'Special Master' (baiter) was appointed, copies of everything that could be spun to hurt Trump or Trump supporters were made and given to the DNC, The Pelosi Cartel, The Schumer Cartel , the 0bama Cartel, the Clinton Cartel and even the Biden Crime Family. And The Media... The media got theirs with precise instructions on what to publish and when to publish it. Anything that could be even remotely seen as exculpatory toward Trump was immediately destroyed. And especially destroyed was any evidence showing the FBI / DOJ illegal and immoral activities involving the "Russian Collusion" Hoax against Trump.

The federal government runs out of funding on Friday and this week should set up a hot debate over billions more in Ukraine aide, a pipeline payoff deal, Afghan refugee assistance and money to help pay for sky-high heating bills for low-income families. While a final funding bill is still being drawn up, the Senate is set to vote in a procedural move on a 'shell' of the bill on Tuesday, testing whether there is enough of an appetite for it to pass the 60-vote hurdle in the split Senate. Both sides are under pressure to pass a temporary bill to fund the government at its current levels

A clip of former President Donald Trump arguing that the election of President Joe Biden would lead to a plummeting stock market circulated online on Friday after Wall Street saw a bloodbath. The Federal Reserve increased targets for the federal funds rate by 0.75% on Wednesday afternoon, sending the Dow Jones Industrial Average, which tracks 30 of the most prominent companies on American exchanges, tumbling more than 500 points. After stagnating on Thursday, the index fell another 500 points by early Friday afternoon to 29,400. On January 20, 2021, the day of Biden’s inauguration, the Dow had closed slightly above 30,900.

Democrat Cities are notorious for having some of the worst living conditions in the United States despite all their talk about their policies giving people a better life. One city, in particular, stands out as one of the best examples of how much worse a city can get under full leftist control. As RedState has been covering over the course of years, San Francisco was once a crown jewel of California but is now a drug-infested, crime-ridden, tax-plagued example of how not to run a city. It’s a city with its own “poop map,” so needed because the homeless in the city defecate in the wide-open wherever they feel like it.

The Republican bloodbath expected in the 2022 midterms has dwindled to an estimated 11-seat majority in the House with just over a month before voters head to the polls. Changing political landscapes, including migrants being transported to Democratic cities and legislation emerging from the overturn of Roe v. Wade, has altered the predicted outcome of the midterm elections in November. A CBS News model estimate shows Republicans emerging from the election with a slim majority of 223-212. This is a second month of downward movement for Republicans, who were at 226 seats in August and 230 in July.

It’s somewhat surprising, therefore, to read a blistering op-ed by their Editorial Board, but on Sunday evening that’s exactly what they delivered.
