Yeshiva University announced it will suspend all campus club activities in its latest attempt to resist a Sept. 14 Supreme Court ruling that lifted an order that had allowed the university in New York to refuse to accept an LGBT group based on the school’s religious beliefs. The temporary freeze came ahead of the Jewish High Holidays that start on the evening of Sept. 25, (snip) “Considering the upcoming Chagim [holiday],” (snip) “The university will hold off on all undergraduate club activities while it immediately takes steps to follow the roadmap provided by the U.S. Supreme Court to protect [Yeshiva University’s] religious freedom.”

Is the university private or public? If private it should have the right to establish its own criteria.

If the Court is forcing this school to ignore their religious beliefs in favor of the gaystapo, then they are not protecting religious freedom. They are chipping away at it instead.

Let's not jump to conclusions, folks. The Supreme Court decision was based on a technicality, because Yeshiva's attorneys had failed to exhaust all remedies available through New York courts. For that reason, Sotomayor never should have granted a temporary stay in the first place. The Wall St. Journal reported this case on September 14, saying: "The Supreme Court, on a 5-4 vote, lifted that stay Wednesday and said in an order that Yeshiva had yet to exhaust its options in the state court system. 'If applicants seek and receive neither expedited review nor interim relief from the New York courts, they may return to this Court,' the order said. Chief Justice John Roberts and Justices Sotomayor, Elena Kagan, Brett Kavanaugh and Ketanji Brown Jackson were in the majority." The SCOTUS doesn't want to even look at you, let alone talk to you, until you have exhausted all other remedies. They're insulted that Yeshiva's attorneys tried to leapfrog over the superior appeals courts of New York state to get SCOTUS involved.

President Joe Biden said Tuesday that it’s “not rational” to send illegal immigrants at the southern border who fled Venezuela, Cuba, and Nicaragua, back to their own nations. “There are three countries,” (snip) “there are fewer and fewer immigrants coming from Central America than from Mexico. It’s a totally different circumstance,” he said, referring to the administration of his predecessor, former President Donald Trump. “What’s on my watch now is Venezuela, Cuba, and Nicaragua, and the ability to send them back to those states is not rational,” the president continued, adding that he is “working with Mexico and other countries” to stop the flow from those nations.

Special counsel John Durham recently disclosed that Danchenko was a confidential human informant for the FBI from March 2017 to October 2020.
