Peterson’s Twitter account was suspended back in June after he made comments about the “transition” of actress Ellen Page. Page (who now goes by Elliot) underwent a double mastectomy before proudly “coming out” as a man to the public. Peterson questioned the logic of women having perfectly healthy breasts removed for cosmetic purposes.

As we observed the 21st anniversary of 9/11 on Sunday, two thoughts came to mind: First, of course, remembering the thousands of heroes and victims who perished on that awful day.
Second, recalling how much we got wrong in the aftermath.
President George W. Bush addressed the nation on September 20, 2001, fingering the terrorist group al-Qaeda and its leader Osama Bin Laden as the culprits for the attacks. This would lead to America’s longest war in Afghanistan where we ultimately accomplished nothing, and a long war in Iraq that was just as pointless and had absolutely nothing to do with 9/11.

“Gina Adams was among a group of faculty hired in a cluster in 2019 as part of a ‘commitment to reconciliation, Indigenization and decolonization,'” the Vancouver Sun reported, adding a spokesperson for the Canadian institution released a statement confirming Adams resigned from her tenure-track adjunct professor position Aug. 25.
“Emily Carr University takes very seriously the allegations that a member of our faculty made a false claim to Indigenous identity,” the statement read.

It’s getting harder and harder not to abandon faith in the institutions we once regarded as respectable and relied on to keep the country moving.
