A five-point plan to secure a Republican
majority come November

Original Article

Posted By: Solid_Oak, 9/13/2022 11:11:09 AM

Republicans have the potential for a surprisingly big victory come this November's midterm elections. On virtually every front, people are finding themselves frustrated and frightened by a Democratic Party that is simply failing. Ignore the media’s efforts to get you to focus on 2024 presidential politics and the unending effort to smear President Donald Trump. Your job is to stay focused on the issues that matter in the lives of everyday people. The cost-of-living crisis, especially the skyrocketing cost of food, comes first.

Comments:

This is a well thought out article. Newt is very smart, especially when it comes to forecasting Congressional elections.

FTA: "First, ignore the media’s efforts to get you to focus on 2024 presidential politics and the unending effort to smear President Donald Trump." I would suggest the same be done regarding the '20 "selection". FPDT is NOT going to be restored to the White House before 2025. In six REPUBLICAN states, each legislature should be put on notice to properly do its duty, which each failed in '20. Pocketbook issues are winning issues. Even left-leaning "union Dems" and independents pay their bills and buy food with their own earned money. But all I have seen are the usual "My opponent is a bad guy, an extremist" dark, scary ads mostly placed by PACs. It's post-Labor Day...time to get off the mark.

Mr. Newt again wisely spells out the issues which Republicans, including President Trump, need to run on in 2022. Chances are, they'll be the issues of 2024 as well. The 2020 election is done. The fix was in. Be vigilant to prevent these problems from occuring again, but the result is not being changed. We can deal with "revenge" or actually cleaning up the deep state coup plotters another day, perhaps in 2025.

I agree with everything that Newt Gingrich says. However! I don't want the voters to support Republican candidates on the slogan "We are not Biden Democrats!" I want candidates that we cannot characterize as members of the spineless wing of the Uniparty. I want candidates who will forcefully state that their policies will be based on what is good for America and who will tell Bill Gates, Al Gore, Google, Hollywood, Anthony Fauci, Randy Weingarten and the rest of America's enemies like Barack O'Bama, George Soros and especially the World Economic Forum, to go pound sand. Please add that to the Republican platform.

I'm with Hermit Crab (#10) Get rid of the Dominion voting machines and clean up the voter rolls and the election process. As long as the elections are rigged, nothing else can be fixed. as Stalin said: "Those who Vote are Nothing. Those who Count the Votes are Everything." As long as the votes are counted by computers using a secret program that is hidden from the public view, and which is controlled by a rabid Leftist, nothing else can be put right.

I don’t disagree with my fellow posters or with Speaker Gingrich, but these ides are platform issues for what to Do with a Republican majority rather than how to Get it. How to Get it is one step. Coalesce around our candidates. Now that the primaries are in the books, we cannot stay home in November to pout over who we’d have rather supported; we must Go Vote, against the Democrat if you must or for the Republican if you can. Not voting doesn’t cut it this year. Leftist cheating will make every race closer than it should be, and there’s far too much at stake to sit this one out. Our Constitution and our Nation hang in the balance.

Not to knock this plan, but if this purge (frog marched, search warrants, cell phones seized) of Trump supporters, Trump lawyers, Mike Lindell, Steve Bannon, Peter Navarro....even Tucker Carlson is being subpoenaed with a search warrant plus 50 others including Trump lawyers is not stopped.... there will not be a plan to implement! Will the American people start screaming about the Gestapo tactics of the FBI sent by the WH and DOJ? Will the Republicans in the House and Senate start making some noise about the loss of our Civil Rights, our First Amendment Rights, our Fourth Amendment Rights? Will the Pastors in America's churches start preaching against the evil in the Biden Administration? They will be next! This is what happened in Germany in the 1930s while Hitler was taking over the country. The people, the Churches, the opposition party, all stayed silent while evil took the nation over! Is that what we want? Call or e-mail your Congressman or Senators and tell them firmly you want them to stop the FBI and DOJ from "killing" off Biden's opposition via the FBI, the DOJ and search warrants and threatening citizens in the middle of the night ala Hitler's Gestapo. PLEASE! Our nation's life is hanging in the balance.

Fine talking points in normal times, Mitch, err I mean Newt! But the American people need to understand that we need an overwhelming victory in order to defeat the dirty Democrat deep state, even if we have a majority! One way or the other, we are going to be up against vicious criminals fighting for their lives, and there is only one man who has the stomach to fight them, and that man is Donald Trump. So yeah, check all the boxes, and then put on the brass knuckles!

Donald Trump’s flirtation with announcing a 2024 White House bid before the midterm elections is sending signals of self-doubt and political vulnerability, with Republican operatives saying the former president is motivating challenges to his supremacy over the party. Trump would begin any presidential primary with overwhelming advantages in popularity, name identification, and resources. But pulling the trigger on a third White House campaign prior to Election Day this November, as Trump concedes is possible, might boomerang. Rather than box out potential 2024 opponents and clear the field, such a move by the former president could reek of fear, inviting more competition for the Republican nomination.

It may be time to pass on gas. The more than 40 million households in the US who use a gas stove might want to consider an alternative. New findings have shown that gas stoves — even when turned off — may cause asthma in children and put adults at risk of cancer. Dr. Jonathan Levy, an environmental health professor at Boston University, claimed the stoves may pollute the air with nitrogen dioxide, which can cause lung damage. The pollutant, a “byproduct of fuel combustion,” is also the same that is produced on major highways, but since the kitchen is an enclosed space, it puts inhabitants at more risk.
