Here Comes the Sun” is one of the Beatles’ great hits from their Abbey Road album, written by George Harrison at the country house of his friend Eric Clapton. Those were down days for George, and one of the song lines, “Little darlin', it's been a long, cold, lonely winter” might apply as much to George’s life in 1969 England as it will collectively to the upcoming winter in Europe.
The sun is shining these days as it is still summer in the Northern Hemisphere, but not for long. News stories abound for those paying attention. From Euronews, “European governments are scrambling

This is what happens when people will not listen to reason. And the German delegation laughing at Trump’s speech at the U.N.? Pride goeth before a fall, jungs und Mädchen. However, I fear that MAGA Republicans and our European brethren will be blamed for this mess.

Despite the Europeans laughing at his prediction, there is no doubt that if Trump were President he would be working with US energy companies to replace Russian gas and energy supplies with US liquified natural gas production.

I have to wonder if Macron's comment of the Era of abundance is over, will be enough for the French people to wake up? I doubt it...

Wed can only hope so. Not that I want Europe to have to suffer but as sooner as we learn that fire is hot the sooner we stop burning ourselves.

FTA: "Europe is paying the price for their leaders listening to climate scolds including Al Gore, Prince Charles, and the petulant Swedish teen Greta Thunberg. Trying to outwoke each other, Europe made the decision to “go green”, thinking they could redefine the laws of physics and nature." The worst of the Greens will be lucky to escape the next decade unhanged. The Green movement is the most misanthropic in human history, topping even the communists who killed a hundred million in the 20th Century. The Greens hope to kill 7.5 billion people.

After 70+ years of living in a socialist utopia, euroweenies are lost. They brought this on themselves by being totally dependent on big government.

In answer to a question in the last paragraph, it is not intended for people to be able to charge their cars. It IS intended for you to be without any means of personal freedom , a prisoner without bars.

It was predictable and it was predicted, and yet the envirocrazies pushed on, laughing at Trump when he warned Germany of a Russian gas shutoff.
I watched Putin use natural gas to pressure Ukraine for 6 or 7 years, first with raising prices to crippling levels, and finally with gas flow reductions in winter to punish any failure to do his bidding by Ukrainian leaders, or citizens. I was certain that Russian would use gas as a political weapon, but the idiot Germans had to GIVE that weapon to Putin buy trusting Russia to provide their fuels. Stupid.
Any time you trust a potential enemy to supply your country with a critical item for your country, you hand them power over you. We have stupidly given China a lot of power over us by becoming dependent on them for many products, pharmaceuticals is but one. We are equally stupid to trade with China, especially while Chinese money infiltrates our universities and our politics to twist our country to their will.

The Euros have nothing to worry about.
The solar panels in Germany, Norway, and Finland - - will provide all the energy they need this coming winter.

Europe's catastrophe will unfortunately be China's windfall. China has been buying tanker ship's filled with LNG from US producers at about $12 per mBtu. If you track the ships they cross the Panama Canal, head to Chinese waters, then make a U-turn and cross back to the Atlantic where they are delivering the LNG to European consumers. They can charge up to $50 per mBtu doing this making billions in profits. Once again, we are the suckers and European citizens are going to pay a terrible price in energy costs.

Dangerously cold in the winter!
Dangerously hot in the summer!
PANIC!
FEAR!
UNCERTAINTY!
This is the REAL and ACTUALLY HAPPENING results of trying to avoid PROJECTED, UNCERTAIN, and, so far, WRONG predictions from the virtue signaling climate Alarmists. Even if the earth is warming, as it has naturally done in the past, the capability of science to determine how much is due to man's activities DOES NOT EXIST. Climate is too COMPLEX for our best science to provide such answers, let alone what to expect 50 years from now.
Further, even if we dialed mankind back to the stone age and eliminated 3/4 of the population, it is unlikely it would make much difference in global temperatures. The Alarmists best projections show that the impact of their extreme measures might lower temperatures by ONE TENTH degree.
This is the reality that we have tried to tell the Alarmists and politicians. Even IF there is warming, there is NOT much that can be done about it without catastrophic costs that yield poor results. They ignore it. The politicians are using the "crisis" to grab power. Up to recently there had been no price for them to pay. Well, now there is and it is HUGE and FRIGHTENING! Imagine what could result from continuing to let them pursue this insane agenda.

Europe is headed for economic collapse, with steel and ammonia industries already shutting down. European economies cannot absorb energy price increases of 1000 percent. Europe will only be saved by renouncing the left, and returning to sanity. That is not going to happen with the leaders they now have.

#18 - Another example of the Commies being better capitalists than the capitalists. It is the basis of their foreign policy - Belt and Road. Build infrastructure with the money loaned some second- or third-tier country, rake off the costs/profits of planning, development, construction, maintenance and operations, not to mention loan interest, before the locals can get their mitts on the proceeds, and if the project defaults..."repo". No shots fired. Instant influence.

Perhaps some new songs will come out of this winter.
"Toss another chair leg on the fire, Heinrich"
or "I remember when the thermostat worked"
or "Pour out the beer, so we can burn the barrels".
Lots of fun new ballads can come out if this.
