Too fat to fight! Four star general says

Recruitment numbers for the Army are at historic lows as Americans are either too fat or criminal to join the defend the country, an Army general warned. Lt. Gen Xavier Brunson, the commander of Joint Base Lewis-McChord in Washington state, theorized as to why recruitment is so low following a July statement from the Army that announced it wouldn't meet its 485,000 recruitment goal for 2022, falling short by a staggering 20,000 recruits. Officers across the country are failing to meet recruitment numbers as fewer youth are qualified to serve, which some blame on the COVID-19 pandemic.(Snip) To increase recruitment numbers, the Army plans to 'lower the gates'

Comments:

Are you vaxxed enough, Gay enough? Do you hate White people generally and the Founding Fathers in particular? Good, because we want to send you off on foreign entanglements that have nothing at all to do with the interests of the USA, and that the USA has no intention of winning. Maybe we'll even deploy you to fight against your fellow Americans one day, if they get out of line.

18-year-old boys have traditionally joined the armed forces to protect and defend their country, learn skills and discipline, and for the college aid when you get out. But instead of learning how to use the newest weapons, and learn to fight hand-to-hand, they are learning how to be "woke" and being forced to get jabbed with vaccines that don't work and may very well kill them. So they aren't joining -- which is exactly the results that the lie-berals in our government wanted all along!!!

Too woke and too sissyfied thanks to public school indoctrination. But we still need a strong army of patriots to defend us from Marxists both within and outside our country. We can't just give up and take the passive slide to physical and spiritual destruction. God may be in charge but surely he doesn't expect us to not do anything for ourselves and our families.

Agree with all the previous posters but why would a white 18 year old male enlist and fight only to be accused of being a white racist? White infantry died in out of proportion numbers to the general population only to be vilified by flag rank officers. Just like the elite in this country, they get promoted when they lose a war but God forbid if a Lance Corporal looses a rifle.

There is no compelling reason for American youth to join the military. Seriously, what for? The glow of victory is long dissipated. What kid beginning his adult life will sign on for a hitch in occupied Iraq or, prior to our ignominious exit, Afghanistan? Maybe a tour in Somalia or Syria. There's still Germany. Times are "normal" in that sense. The US needs to get over itself as "Leader of the Free World" and restructure its military to meet OUR defense requirements rather than cover for the allied Free Loaders around the world. Not every "challenge" is ours to take on.

Too many kids have or sell drugs and are protected because police can't do anything to them or they are let out of jail easily. They can party at colleges and now get their loans forgiven. Parents won't let them join or are helicopter parents. They can resign from an enlistment if it is too hard or stressful. There aren't any puppies or crayons there. They don't have gym classes or play outside yet alone sports to keep in shape. Why join the service when you can live in your parents' basement for free and live like a slob, play video games plus use your phone all day until you are at least in your forties?

Obama has made good on his vow to "fundamentally change" this country. Can anyone else remember his pledge to build a civilian police force to rival the Army? It appears he and Biden are making good on that - IRS. Do you remember his purge of the military over his eight years? Stalin did it and Obama was indoctrinated in the ways of communism so it follows he would pick a vice president he could control and would do his bidding. Little did we know he also picked a VP who could be bought like a cheap suit and was blackmailable. IMHO, Obama hates this country and always has so denigrating the military and reducing our ability to defend ourselves can be seen today in recruitment goals and military leadership ate up with wokeness. I spent over 30 years in the military so feel qualified to say this "wokeness" garbage is destroying unit cohesion and without that we are just a rabble. Hasn't that been the plan from the beginning of Obama/Biden?

The Miami-Dade School Board in Florida rejected a proposed LGBTQ month for students after a contentious three-hour meeting Wednesday night. The measure would have recognized October as an official period of LGBTQ recognition in the district’s schools and taught older students about two Supreme Court cases related to gay rights. Backers of the proposal argued that the initiative would ease stigmas plaguing the community—with some public speakers likening opposition to Nazi marginalization of specific groups. Opponents asserted that the plan was tantamount to “indoctrination” and would introduce sexualized subject matter to Miami-Dade schools without adequate parental awareness.(Snip)“LGBTQ people suffered a higher rate of suicidal ideation

Homeland Security on Thursday announced it has adopted a new lenient policy on immigrants’ use of welfare, tossing a Trump-era policy that would have been far stricter. Under the new system, known as the “public charge” rule, immigrants will only be penalized for potential welfare use if the government believes they will eventually become “primarily dependent” on government payments. By contrast, living in government housing, using Medicaid for health coverage or accepting food stamps wouldn’t count against an immigrant. Secretary Alejandro Mayorkas said the new rule will deliver “fair and humane treatment of legal immigrants.” “Consistent with America’s bedrock values, we will not penalize individuals for choosing to access
