Our corrupt elites reveal that what Jefferson

If ever there was a time when constructive criticism was urgently required, it is now, in the summer of America’s deepening discontent. One thing to criticize is that we are fast becoming an oligarchy, something hidden behind ostensible political battles that distract us, something Jefferson warned of 240 years ago. Currently, the shiny object we are being funneled to focus upon is the Mar-a-Lago raid. We cannot take our eyes off of it, even as Attorney General Merrick Garland and FBI Director Christopher Wray tell us to stop criticizing our betters in government even as they shred the U.S. Constitution and the Bill of Rights. Meanwhile, the RINOs tut-tut

I believe it was Jefferson who also advised us to “avoid foreign entanglements”......that didn’t work out too well either.

The media is focused on Mar-a-Lago. Your average voter is focused on food prices, gas prices, a failing 401k, credit card interest rates that a loan shark would be embarrassed to charge, crime, open borders, and a ton of other things that they didn't worry about two years ago.

Jefferson and our Founders never conceived of a Federal government with the power and reach ours has today. There was no FBI, IRS or Department of Education then. The states were to be generally sovereign entities glued together by a Federal compact governed by a Constitution that limited Federal power to mutual needs and national demands, such as defense and international relationships. But, then times change. State governments now find themselves rendered powerless with their hands ever out for funding. #1 - That was outgoing President George Washington in his "Farewell Address". Well worth a read in these days of Afghanistan/Iraq/Syria, Ukraine, Taiwan, and NATO.

according to studies done circa 1995, after slick willy was installed, this country had already met the textbook definition of ''oligarchy''.

The Strange Case of Ghislaine Maxwell 0 replies

Those that love this country, must also love the moral fiber upon which it was founded. From that truth, it must also be true that as a society, it is a duty of all Americans to remain vigilant to remove any strand of evil that has invaded our culture’s moral fabric -- such as the corruption of our government institutions -- before it is allowed to weaken and ultimately destroy the nation our founders designed. Although examples of such corruption now presently abound, few put on full display what’s at stake better than our government’s recent handling of the Ghislaine Maxwell matter.

Earlier today, Judge Aileen Cannon granted President Trump’s request for a Special Master review of the material confiscated by the Biden DOJ during their raid on his home at Mar-a-Lago. Judge Cannon also ‘temporarily enjoins’ or forbids the Biden regime from ‘reviewing and using the seized materials’ pending the completion of the review. This decision by the Florida judge enraged the lawless left who is accustomed to running roughshod over the US Constitution in their ongoing attempts to destroy President Donald Trump. Andrew Weissman, the former Justice official who ran the Mueller special counsel and is now a contributor on the fake news channels, suffered a meltdown following the decision.

Here Comes the Sun” is one of the Beatles’ great hits from their Abbey Road album, written by George Harrison at the country house of his friend Eric Clapton. Those were down days for George, and one of the song lines, “Little darlin', it's been a long, cold, lonely winter” might apply as much to George’s life in 1969 England as it will collectively to the upcoming winter in Europe. The sun is shining these days as it is still summer in the Northern Hemisphere, but not for long. News stories abound for those paying attention. From Euronews, “European governments are scrambling

MSNBC guest Roland Martin told host Tiffany Cross Democrats are now "at war" with Republicans and praised President Joe Biden's speech this past week for finally calling conservatives a threat to country. Cross said it was mainstream, establishment Republicans who are calling for violence. "Pastor Charles Jenkins has an intro to his song war. 'When the enemy is coming at you you, can’t fall down, you can’t breakdown. This means war.' That is where we are. We are at war with these people.

As is the case when we draw nearer to election time, the press is full of dubious polls and the rantings of media-designated seers and pundits. What I rely on is the evidence of my own eyes: higher inflation, ever higher taxes, higher energy costs, and more extreme efforts by the administration and Big Three investment funds to impose their will on us, particularly in managing production of things the morons at the top have no idea how to produce or distribute. Most disturbing to me as a person who haunts social media for links to articles, views, and insights I might otherwise miss

A leader of Black Lives Matter is being accused of stealing $10 million from the foundation, using it as his “personal piggy bank.” According to a lawsuit, Shalomyah Bowers fraudulently siphoned over $10 million in “fees” to his consulting firm. The lawsuit, filed in Los Angeles Superior Court claims Bowers treated the Black Lives Matter foundation funds as his “personal piggy bank” and acted as a “rogue administrator” and “middle man turned usurper.” It also says that Bowers led BLM into multiple Internal Revenue Service investigations and “various state attorney generals, blazing a path of irreparable harm to BLM in less than eighteen months.”

Satan: “Better to reign in Hell, then serve in Heav'n.” --John Milton, Paradise Lost, Book I Establishment Republican Senate Minority Leader Mitch McConnell recently did his best to “sabotage” Republicans' chances of re-taking the Senate when he implied that the “quality” of the anti-establishment Trump-supporting Republican Senate candidates is subpar: “I think there’s probably a greater likelihood the House flips than the Senate. Senate races are just different [because] candidate quality has a lot to do with the outcome,” he said. Similarly, when Joe Biden was on the ropes with dreadful poll numbers for his disastrous policies, the usual cast of weakling closet Democrats

For many of us, the path our governmental leaders have recently taken has been perplexing. Many of the policy decisions that perhaps sounded good (at least to some) have turned out to be not only clearly deleterious, but often catastrophic for our country. Without hyperbole, I mean catastrophic for our economy, our national defense capability, our national sovereignty, the safety and security of citizens, and our standing among other nations of the world. We hear that inflation is "temporary," that "we are not in a recession," that the administration "feels our pain" at the gas pump

Bill Barr, who served as attorney general during the Trump administration, said Wednesday that the Justice Department appears to be “getting very close” to having sufficient evidence to indict former president Trump. Law enforcement is investigating former president Donald Trump for removal or destruction of records, obstruction of an investigation, and violating the Espionage Act, according to the search warrant for Trump’s residence at Mar-a-Lago. Barr said during an appearance on Fox News that government investigators must consider if they have a technical case against Trump and said, “I think they’re getting very close to that point, frankly.” He added that the DOJ must weigh what the potential fallout

California officials say it will cost $14 billion to upgrade aging wastewater facilities that are dumping nutrients from treated human sewage into San Francisco Bay, which are feeding a giant algae bloom that has lingered for more than two months and killed tens of thousands of fish. The algae bloom, which appeared in late July, has grown to an immense size because of the tons of nutrients from urine and feces of the eight million Bay Area residents that is released into the waters daily—one plant alone dumps 85 million gallons a day that contains 5.5 tons of nitrogen. Scientists say the bloom was triggered by climate change,

NEWNAN, Ga. — Georgia Democrats have grown increasingly pessimistic about Stacey Abrams’s chances of ousting Gov. Brian Kemp from office, pointing to her struggles to rally key parts of her party’s coalition and her inability to appeal to a slice of moderate Republican voters who can decide the state’s elections. Public and private polls have consistently shown her trailing Mr. Kemp, a Republican seeking a second term. And, in a particularly worrying sign for Ms. Abrams, polls also show she is drawing less support than the other high-profile Democrat on the ballot, Senator Raphael Warnock, who is seeking a first

The numbers of applications to freshmen classes at West Point and Annapolis were down sharply this year as the prestigious service academies struggle with the same recruiting crisis hobbling the rest of the U.S. military. The Air Force Academy said it received 8,393 applications for the class of 2026, down from 11,599 for the class of 2025. Officials blame decisions made during the COVID-19 pandemic as the main culprit for the 28% drop.

Republicans in the House are preparing to roll out their midterm agenda, which they hope will give voters a reason to vote for them and not just against Democrats. The brainchild of House Minority Leader Kevin McCarthy, the “Commitment to America” will have four parts dealing with the economy, security, education/health care, and government accountability. McCarthy’s office has indicated the Commitment to America will debut in Pittsburgh on September 19. It’s loosely based on the “Contract with American” concept created for the 1994 midterm election that was credited with helping the GOP take over both the House and Senate.

This description accompanies the YouTube video: "The quantity of metal required to make just one generation of renewable tech units to replace fossil fuels, is much larger than first thought. Americans fervently believe in equal justice for all, not just under law but within public institutions such as the media as well, polls have shown. And yet, one recent poll leads to a disturbing conclusion: That America is increasingly turning into a two-tiered system of justice based on politics and beliefs. The Golden/TIPP Poll (TIPP is also Issues & Insights’ polling partner) asked 1,310 voters online this summer the following question: “Generally speaking, do you agree or disagree with the statement: “There is a two-tiered system of justice in America depending on your political affiliation and ideology?” The results of the poll,
