Karine Jean-Pierre mocked after calling
Nord Stream 1 pipeline ‘Nordstrom’

Is that on sale? White House press secretary Karine Jean-Pierre received social media scorn Tuesday after she accidentally called Russia’s Nord Stream 1 pipeline “Nordstrom”—as in the department store. The slip of the tongue came as President Biden’s chief spokeswoman accused Russia of fueling an energy crisis in Europe by shutting down the pipeline, which supplies natural gas to large swathes of the continent. “What we see Russia is doing, we’ve been very clear about this, they’re using energy, they’re weaponizing energy,” Jean-Pierre told reporters during her regular press briefing. “One of the things that has been out there… they shut down the pipeline of Nordstrom 1.”

Buckwheat in drag is playing it coy. At her pay grade, she need never set foot in something so common as a Nordstrom's.

Simple mistake. She may have been talking to someone about a piece of clothing at Nordstrom's just prior to coming out and made a mistake on the fly. It happens. Besides, the names are somewhat similar. Who among us hasn't made a similar mistake. She may have been flustered by a question from Peter Doocy or some other reporter and said Nordstrom instead of Nord Stream instead. Granted she's not fit for the job, but I'm not going to rake her over the coals for this. Now if she says it again, then have at it.

Life, death, newborns entering the world, a CEO raking in millions, politicians calling for an investigation: all part of the drama swirling around Maimonides Medical Center, which lost a staggering $145 million last year. It’s Brooklyn’s largest hospital, and newly released financials show it barely has the cash to make it through another year.(Snip)Worse, the same basic story is being repeated at hospitals everywhere that treat the poor. Safety-net hospitals are bleeding red ink because Medicaid, the government health-insurance program, shortchanges hospitals, paying them only 67 cents for every dollar of care. Most hospitals shift the 33% in unmet costs to the privately insured patient

More FBI whistleblowers have stepped forward to Congress and accused high-ranking bureau officials of bringing unauthorized smartphones into top-secret facilities, a security breach that can expose classified materials. This time, the FBI said it is investigating the complaints and “takes all security matters seriously.” The alleged security violations occurred in a sensitive compartmented information facility or SCIF set up for the executive offices on the 7th floor of the FBI’s J. Edgar Hoover Building, according to the whistleblower. The new complaint follows The Washington Times’ exclusive report last week detailing an FBI agent disclosing to Congress that FBI Deputy Director Paul Abatte, among other top agents, broke security

The New York Democrat and Senate majority leader said he will seek to secure the funds in the federal budget to offset the expected shortfall in the World Trade Center Health Program, which provides medical care and services for first responders and others affected by the Sept. 11, 2001, terror attacks. “We have seen the toll a funding crisis takes on our 9/11 heroes and those made sick by the despicable attack on New York 21 years ago,” Schumer said,

The White House is asking Congress for another $5 billion to bus, fly, and house the southern flood of economic migrants into Americans’ workplaces and housing. Any additional funding will accelerate the federal “cheap labor distribution [network] that too many politicians in Washington are willing to participate in,” said John Feere, a former homeland security official. The inflow of workers, renters, and consumers “benefits groups on both sides of the border—governments, human smuggling operations, and businesses,” he told Breitbart News. The request is part of a budget request—a “Short-term Continuing Resolution”—sent by the White House to Congress.

Some of the loudest warnings are coming from progressive Massachusetts Sen.
