Healey could make history as 1st openly
gay Mass. governor

Boston—Attorney General Maura Healey won the Democratic primary for Massachusetts governor on Tuesday, bringing her one step closer to becoming the first openly gay candidate and first woman elected to the state’s top political office—eight years after she was elected the nation’s first openly gay attorney general. Healey, whose only rival for the nomination dropped out of the race but remained on the ballot, will be the heavy favorite in November against the winner of the Republican primary. Former state Rep. Geoff Diehl, who was endorsed by former President Donald Trump, and businessman Chris Doughty, who is considered more moderate, are running for the GOP nomination.

Comments:

With qualifications like that, how can she lose? The sky would be the limit if only she were black.

She could make history by being the first person to be elected governor while having moles in the same position on both shoulders. So what? Lori Lightfoot is the first openly gay woman to serve as mayor of a city the size of Chicago. How well is that working out for Chicago?

Please raise your hand if you really need or desired to know the sexuality of a democrat candidate for governor of Massachusetts. Hmmm. No one? Didn't think so. Democrat and Massachusetts provides me all the information I need to know. If , as we've been told since the 90s, there is toxic masculinity there must be toxic homosexuality that is just as boorish and offensive. "Openly gay" politicians have basically announced, "Im going to force you to know my sexual preference whether you like it or not."

Her nickname is "Hold-it Healey". Back a few years when politicians started pushing the policy of all allowing men in women's rooms. When some women began complaining about it not being safe, she suggested that if you gotta go, and you don't want to use the co-ed bathrooms, then "Hold It!" until you get home. Another Massachusetts beaut.

Every time a self-described homosexual, or black. or hispanic, or transgender, or--- what-have-you either runs for political office or does something else as a "first," we are compelled to applaud. No offense to Mormons but gay rights activists have become like a crazed ugly version of Mormons. You’re going about your day, minding your own business and the doorbell rings. Outside are two (usually handsome) young men in suit pants, short sleeved shirts and ties who know you’re home and want to lecture you about something you have no interest in. Your instinct is to say, “I don’t want any” or “Mind your own business” but you don’t want to be rude. But at least Mormons are easy on the eyes and polite AND they don’t call you a “Mormophobe” just because they bore you.

Apparently Maura would be the first one for Massachusetts, though, #22. And just to make it clear (since the comment seems almost ambiguous even to its poster), #15 isn't saying that she's competent and we should shut up about identity politics. She and the "Progressive" news media are making a bigger deal about her sexual orientation than about whether she's competent. And that means either that being gay is more important to them than whether she's competent, or that her orientation's being emphasized to distract attention from her lack of competence... NEITHER of which should be applauded by anybody.
