Why the left shouldn't be crowing so loudly

Well, the left has got one. On Twitter and beyond, you've never heard such crowing: According to Politico: Democrat Mary Peltola has defeated Republican Sarah Palin in the special election for Alaska’s vacant House seat, a big upset over the former governor in the state’s first election under ranked-choice voting. Peltola, a former state legislator who will become Alaska’s first indigenous member of Congress, defeated a special election field that included Palin and another Republican, Nick Begich III. The Democrat finished first in the initial tally and then won enough second-choice votes from Begich’s supporters to see off Palin,

She lost because of that 'ranked choice voting' garbage that was passed by the REPUBLICANS in Alaska. The republican party has been known as the Stupid Party for decades, we can now see they want to hang on to that title.

Washington State is pushing for "Ranked Choice voting". Being pushed by a Democrat. But oh course you knew that. It's a method to split Republican voters between multiple Republican candidates while having only ONE Democrat candidate. Easy to see who will ALWAYS win. Funny how the "extra" Republican candidates are people no one has heard of and seem to be promoted by Democrats.

Palin is so-yesterday, a nostalgia piece. As the article notes, "The Democrat finished first in the initial tally and then won enough second-choice votes from Begich's supporters to see off Palin..." Palin's day was over a decade ago. Since then it's been a try at her and her family establishing celebrity. In Alaska, her fan appeal is apparently limited. And the fact that FPDT endorsed her in defeat is another irritant to some. One wonders whether his recent rant for reinstatement played into this.

Ranked choice voting for Federal offices is unconstitutional. It dilutes the vote of committed single candidate voters and gives voters for fringe candidates more than one vote. This was pushed in Alaska by Murkowski supporters who simply wanted to disrupt the movement away from her towards Trump supporters like Palin. It is just another scheme to undermine one-man-one-vote and the 14th amendment equal protection under the law.

The Democrat had the most first place votes in a three way race. The Democrat won. The Democrats have redefined the role of government by conditioning voters. That is why they are winning. Voters are voting for whomever gives them the most freebies. Voters are voting against Republicans because they have been taught to hate them. Voters have been taught to be altruists and make issues like climate change and social justice their top priorities. The economy and honest competent government aren't even on their radar anymore. This is how a senile sick corrupt Biden was able to get over 70 million votes in 2020. It worked then. It still works now. This is why our nation is crashing.

#5, Had you read the article you would have learned that the Republican vote was 60% but split between the two Republicans. I’m astounded that the Republican legislature imposed ranked voting on Alaska. This system first reared its ugly head in Democrat strongholds that wanted to eliminate completely Republican opposition. Each of those who imposed this leftist for of election should be voted out.

Trump's surprise breakthrough with Hispanic

Former President Donald Trump was supposed to be the death knell for the Republican Party and the Hispanic vote, helping to usher in the “emerging Democratic majority” forecasters had projected for decades. Instead, Trump made modest inroads with Hispanics himself and may have presided over the demographic shifting from a reliably Democratic voting bloc to more of a swing vote. If those trends hold through this year’s midterm elections, it could have lasting implications for the competitiveness of future races. In 2020, Trump won the highest share of the Hispanic vote of any Republican presidential nominee since George W. Bush in 2004.

Texas's Gov. Greg Abbott got the ball rolling with his decision to bus illegal immigrants to America's foremost sanctuary cities. And Florida's Gov. For Democrats, it's not a one-day story, but an ongoing can of whoopass. It comes after months of Democrats controlling the narrative about the border surge -- from the press doing softball interviews with migrant-inviting Joe Biden, his do-nothing "border czar" Kamala Harris, and derelict Homeland Security Secretary Alejandro Mayorkas; to phony political "narratives"

According to the New York Post: The posh liberal enclave of Martha’s Vineyard has been thrown into chaos by the arrival of two planeloads of migrants sent there by Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis, according to local reports. Roughly 50 migrants were flown to the famed Massachusetts island — constituting what the local tourism board called a “humanitarian crisis’’ Thursday.

In many ways, Joe Biden's presidency is a baffling one. He's down in the polls, his policies are disasters, but unlike, say, Bill Clinton, he can't change course, or moderate his direction, not even to save his presidency. He's particularly rigid on some of these policies, such as the green agenda, even as the voters say 'no' and the obvious political consequences of that are coming for him. So what gives? Is he simply too old to change? That doesn't explain it, because he's been a political weather vane for the duration of his entire career. Something is going on, and RealClearPolitics's Philip Wegmann may have put his finger on it.

Especially considering the “demographic winter,” which is so evident in Spain and Italy. “In Italy there are empty villages with just twenty old ladies and nothing else,” he said. “Why can’t we make a policy in the West where immigrants are included with the principle that the migrant should be welcomed, accompanied, promoted, and integrated?” he asked.
