Let’s try a thought exercise with a question to consider: What occupation, particularly in the current decade, has become increasingly difficult to perform and endure? During the COVID pandemic, our doctors and nurses were stretched thin, stressed out, and overwhelmed. But healthcare professionals were widely regarded as heroes during COVID – true heroes – and they received heaping appreciation. There are teachers, no doubt, who would consider their vocation as a candidate for this discussion, claiming they are under-appreciated and unfairly targeted, and some may have a point. And, of course, firefighters have always faced major challenges.

Comments:

Hit a cop and this is what you should expect. Good for this officer!

When grocery store baggers became celebrated as HEROES, we're all HEROES. I self-pumped my gas, and used self-checkout whenever possible - even during the height of COVIDS. Teachers as heroes...isn't that negotiable with their next contract, "Hero Pay". Enough of the daily heroics. This is getting like a Marvel comic.

Thankfully it appears the police officer is of the same ethnicity as the young lady. If he had been from another race all hell would be breaking out.

Excellent. Give him a medal and make that a training film. From other reports, I finally found the video, there was no link in the story that I could find. She runs up in a big hurry to mix it up, and with no time to get any information at all about what is going on, this 90 pound female shoved the officer a couple of times and then punches the cop. And she is immediately given a lesson in "guys hit harder than girls" flying through the air, landing on her back on concrete and holding her face. Is she smart enough to learn a lesson? Or will she continue down this stupid path? I'm skeptical that she'll change, will probably hate the police more. The inner city criminal culture is destroying lives. They were both black, and the guy being arrested for murder, is also black, so no racial angle. Another woman was arrested and charged for assaulting an officer. Now....will the Soros DA charge the officer and release the murderer and the assaulters of the officer?

General comment. My family got covid in December 20. My wife and I both called our doctors; they did nothing. Ivermectin and HCQ results were available to them by April of 2020. As covered in The American Thinker article posted here, aspirin cuts hospital admission from covid by 46%. There were NO studies supporting distancing or mask use. And kids were the most likely to get covid, be asymptomatic, non-infectious, and heal meaning banning school and demanding masks were not called for. What did the doctors do? I have no respect for that group as a profession. Teachers? Hahahah. Cops? Tell me about the cops that protected businesses in Minneapolis, who protected conservative counter protestors in Portland, who investigated and held antifa/blmmers. There are good cops. ANYone has the right to self defend. But the days of me just saying 'Thank you, essential (bla bal)' are over. The waitress is essential. The gym owner and hair dresser and small business owner is essential to his family and community and I never saw them pull the shenanigans that doctors, teachers, and some cops did.

The article says WATCH, but watch what? If you're going to put WATCH in a headline, then make it possible to do so. As for the cop hitting this woman. It's about time, and who says one doesn't hit a woman when they've earned it. The most pampered animal on the planet is the western female.

The woman assaulted a cop who was preoccupied with arresting a violent subject. She rushed him swinging. He had to wonder -- does she have a knife? So he dispatched her quickly. She'll recover. She should go to prison with obstructing justice, but instead this poor cop will face (at best( an interminable disciplinary ordeal. This woman is no lady. She got less than she deserves. I hope she has a shiner for weeks.

The Green Party will appear on the ballot in North Carolina’s upcoming Senate contest this November, a federal judge has ruled — despite a coordinated Democratic effort to prevent it. After the Green Party submitted thousands of signatures for its candidate to appear on the ballot in North Carolina, the Democratic Senatorial Campaign Committee (DSCC) — represented by Russia Hoax lawyer Marc Elias’s law firm — began contacting the people who signed the petition for ballot access and asked them to remove their signatures. Even the Green Party’s candidate himself, Matthew Hoh, received text messages from the DSCC asking

President Joe Biden is looking north for critical mineral supplies to meet government-inflated demand for clean-energy initiatives while the administration shuts down major mining projects on American soil. In March, the president invoked the Defense Production Act to expedite the expansion of U.S. mining operations behind lithium, nickel, cobalt, graphite, and manganese as demand rises for the raw materials. Not only are the critical minerals central to the administration’s subsidized wind and solar farms, but they are essential for defense technologies and popular products from cell phones to laptops.

For our friends on the left, attitudes toward race have apparently come full circle. It wasn’t that long ago, less than a decade perhaps, that the mere suggestion of a major corporation openly discriminating against prospective candidates for scholarships and fellowships based on their race would have been denounced from every angle of the political spectrum. If those being excluded from consideration were to have been limited to only white folks, there would have certainly been sympathizers with the idea from various leftists, but they wouldn’t have been brazen enough to put forth the notion publicly. And if it wasn’t only white folks whose candidacies were being barred, if non-white

There are certain images and names that, when viewed or imagined, immediately scream “America!” Brands such as Coca-Cola and Levi’s certainly fit this bill, as do McDonald’s and Major League Baseball. But there is arguably no brand that is more iconic of America and our culture than that of the Walt Disney Company. Whether it’s images of characters such as Donald Duck, or the mere silhouette of Mickey Mouse’s ears, or even old photos of the great Walt Disney himself, people around the globe immediately associate Disney and its brand with us: America. It is for this reason that the hideous transformation of the Disney Company

Senate Minority Leader Mitch McConnell was asked yesterday about Republican prospects for the November elections. “I think there’s probably a greater likelihood the House flips than the Senate. Senate races are just different, they’re statewide, candidate quality has a lot to do with the outcome,” McConnell replied. The media and others on the left were of course thrilled with the Republican leader’s “notable quotable” disparagement of Republican candidates and the voters who chose them, which somehow came off even worse on video. What was McConnell thinking? What in the world was he thinking? Unnecessarily ceding an incredibly winnable Senate to Democrats three months before an election is a great example of the leadership choices

Following years of bureaucratic malfeasance in the name of science, the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) updated its Covid guidelines on Thursday to now recommend and acknowledge long overdue truths regarding transmission of the respiratory virus and Covid vaccines. Among the new provisions included in the guidelines are recommendations to largely end mass asymptomatic testing of individuals with no known exposure to the virus, as well as calls for those “exposed to COVID-19” to wear a “mask for 10 days and get tested on day 5” rather than quarantine.

For those of us who have never been behind bars, one of the more fascinating aspects of prison life is the convicts’ code of moral conduct. They have their own internal justice system, according to scores of accounts, and the standards they apply seem to be fairly consistent across all jurisdictions. Whether you’re a federal, state, or local prisoner, there are certain crimes which are tolerated by other inmates, some that are even celebrated, but there are others that are completely taboo. And if you’re one who’s been convicted of an off-limits crime, you could have a big problem.

During the runup to his 2016 presidential election victory, former President Donald Trump made illegal immigration and border security one of the primary aspects of his campaign’s platform. He would frequently encourage chants of “Build the Wall” at his rallies, and he wasn’t shy about calling out the problems America was facing due to the border crisis. Put simply: Donald Trump was the face of the “Tighten Immigration” movement. That is… until now. Biden called “MAGA Republicans” a threat to democracy and doubled down on his rhetoric calling supporters of former President Donald trump “extremists.” WMAL talk show host Larry O’Connor threw the epithet Biden directed at Republicans back at the president.

If true, this news ought to alarm every American, and drastic, corrective action ought to be taken immediately. CIA is taking a lot of hits these days. It should. Its leadership has gone dangerously astray and gotten involved in domestic political matters which should never be the province of a foreign intelligence organization.
