“Go woke, go broke” is the slogan that keeps on giving. The latest installment of woke, politically active retailers now facing financial ruin in the form of shuttering stores and mass layoffs is none other than conservative-hating Bed Bath & Beyond.
According to CNBC, the retailer announced this week that it will close down 150 namesake stores, as well as plans to hand out pink slips to a whopping 20% of its workforce, mostly in the supply chain and corporate sectors of the business. The moves were announced ahead of an expected investor update on Wednesday in the company’s seemingly desperate bid to stay afloat.
As you’ll recall, BBB made headlines

White House press secretary Karine Jean-Pierre criticized five Republicans by name as representatives of the "extreme wing" of the party who are attacking democracy.
Her comments came while discussing President Joe Biden's Thursday night address regarding the "soul of our nation," and she specifically pointed to Reps. Paul Gosar (AZ), Marjorie Taylor Greene (GA), Madison Cawthorn (NC), Gov. Ron DeSantis (FL), and former President Donald Trump of carrying out "attacks on our core values as a country."

While speaking in Wilkes-Barre, Pennsylvania, on Tuesday President Biden said, “The bullet out of an AR-15 travels five times as rapidly as a bullet shot out of any other gun.”
Ironically, on June 30, 2022, Field & Stream did an in-depth look at the “Five Fastest Rifle Cartridges” and the two AR-15 rounds, .223 and 5.56, did not even make the cut.
Here are the top rounds, as listed by Field & Stream, and the feet per second (fps) they travel upon being fired:
.220 Swift — A 40-Grain .220 Swift round moves approx. 4,300 fps.

Donald Trump, who said two weeks ago "the temperature has to be brought down" in this country, is raising it to heights that would burst the thermometer.
He’s gone on what we would call an angry tweetstorm, if he was still on Twitter, pumping out three dozen postings and repostings on his far smaller Truth Social app.
Then Trump drops the hammer: "REMEDY: Declare the rightful winner, or, and this would be the minimal solution, declare the 2020 Election irreparably compromised and have a new Election, immediately!"

As part of their response to the Supreme Court’s (SCOTUS) ruling in NYSRPA v. Bruen, New York Democrats secured legislation making Times Square a gun-free zone, even barring concealed carry permit holders from carrying for self-defense.
On June 23 Breitbart News reported SCOTUS’s Bruen ruling, which struck down New York’s proper cause requirement for concealed carry.
New York Gov. Kathy Hochul (D) and the state’s Democrat-run legislature responded by enacting numerous new gun controls, including a list of “sensitive” areas where the carrying of guns would be prohibited.

Despite the leftist mainstream media’s best efforts to portray Joe Biden as a rejuvenated president ready to lead his party to midterm glories, the aged and increasingly befogged Biden keeps sidetracking the fake news narrative with his own words and misdeeds.
“An alleged diary from Ashley Biden exposed Joe Biden as a creep who took naked showers with his daughter at an inappropriate age.”
Joe Biden should not be talking to children. He shouldn’t be talking to or about teenagers, either. Quite frankly, he oughtn’t address or talk about anyone under the age of 21 for the remainder of his presidency.

CALIFORNIA (WTVO) — With California’s power grid under strain due to extreme heat and high demand, the utility grid operator is asking residents to avoid charging their electric vehicles. This comes days after the state announced a plan to ban the sale of gas-powered cars by 2035.
The California Independent System Operator is asking residents for “voluntary energy conservation” over the Labor Day weekend.

The months of July and August of this year have been among the quietest in terms of hurricane activity since World War II, a Colorado meteorologist said this week, with August shaping up to have the lowest hurricane activity since the late 1990s.
Philip Klotzbach, a forecaster at Colorado State University specializing in Atlantic basin hurricanes, wrote on Twitter on Tuesday that "for the first time since 1941, the Atlantic has had no named storm (e.g., tropical storm or [hurricane]) activity from July 3rd-August 30th."
Klotzbach further pointed out that August of this year could finish as the only August since 1997 to have no named hurricanes.

About 60 high schools across the nation will offer a new Advance Placement African American studies course this fall that includes lessons on black pride, black power and black feminism.
Although the College Board, which approved the pilot program, declined to release a syllabus or name the schools that will be teaching the course, Marlon Williams-Clark, a history teacher at the Florida State University Schools, identified himself as one of the instructors for the new course, The New York Times reported.
Williams-Clark, 35, said the course would be a deep dive into African American history, but some fear the AP course could be a ploy to teach

A Nobel Prize-winning German developmental biologist called the transgender movement’s claims “unscientific” and “nonsense,” and their plans to let teenagers determine their own gender “madness.”
In an interview published last week by the German feminist magazine EMMA, Dr. Christiane Nüsslein-Volhard cited hard scientific facts to counter the trendy notion that there are multiple genders.
“All mammals have two sexes, and man is a mammal,” she explained. “There’s the one sex that produces the eggs, has two X chromosomes. That’s called female. And there’s the other one that makes the sperm, has an X and a Y chromosome. That’s called male.”

The head of McDonald's US operations has publicly slammed a proposed California law that could force large fast food chains to pay workers up to $22 an hour, saying the plan 'should raise alarm bells across the country.' McDonald's USA President Joe Erlinger spoke out in an open letter on Wednesday, arguing that California's plan is unfairly designed and will raise costs further for consumers. He was responding to a bill that could set wages at fast-food chains with more than 100 restaurants at $22 an hour next year, well above the existing statewide minimum of $15.50 an hour for

The Food and Drug Administration on Wednesday gave its first full authorization to a COVID-19 booster and said the original COVID vaccines may no longer be used as boosters for people over the age of 12.
Moderna and Pfizer-BioNTech booster vaccines were previously being given under emergency-use authorization.
With the agency's announcement, Moderna's COVID booster vaccine is now authorized as a single booster dose for people over the age of 18. Pfizer's booster vaccine is now authorized for ages 12 and up. The updated booster vaccines are bivalent, as they both include an mRNA component of the original COVID strain as well as an mRNA
