For the second night in a row, police showed up at the home of Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene (R-Ga.) in the early hours of Thursday morning, responding to a fake 911 call. Once again, it appears that someone on the Left is hoping to get Greene into a situation in which she or others in her home could be killed.
Two police officers rushed to Greene’s home in Rome, Ga., in response to a call they received at 2:53 a.m. The call, according to the Rome Police Department, was about “a male possibly shooting his family members and then himself.”
MSN reported that “the suspect, who called

I think there should be a legal option for the Swatted to find out who called in the Swat and have that person Swatted.
Make them just as fearful. Am so tired of this tyranny

I don't believe I have ever heard of someone calling in the false alarm being prosecuted. If the police cannot identify the caller, they should proceed with extreme skepticism.

She should set up some code word with the local law enforcement so they know if it’s real or fake. I worry they’ll get so rumored of these bogus calls they won’t take a real one serious.

#3 She shouldn't have to. This was attempted murder and should be investigated and prosecuted as such.

A potentially deadly crime has been committed. It's not like you have to trace the call, the ID comes up automatically. The person who owns this phone needs to be brought to justice, if there is any left.

#6 they’re not using a phone. They’re using a messaging system that can’t be traced. The transgender movement has become radical and dangerously violent. Mainly because the Leftists pander to them and are over eager to accept their mental illness as a lifestyle choice. I’ve seen conservative publications refer to men as ‘her’. This koolaid is widespread.

This is a vicious, sinister attack that I hope can be thwarted with current means. I don't want another overreaching law like the Patriotic Act to steal more of our rights. Trouble is, if the ruling class feels threatened, then the general public and their rights be darned.

I thinking that the NSA can back-track this 'phone call' if they so choose too. they have everything else under surveillance .

It was creative. I would never have thought up something like that.
I will say, that if "they" really wanted too, "they" could track down the perps. Nothing online is truly annonomus. "They" did manage to track down everyone that was at the capital on 1/6/21. But "they" can't track down a single Antifa / BLM rioter.

Sorry. I don't like this noisy witch any more than politicians in general I wouldn't vote for you even if I could. She plays the blame game and I haven't seen anything remotely productive out of her. The white Ilhan Omar.

#2 -- in 2017, a 19yo gamer in Ohio, along with a 20yo in Kansas, goaded a 26yo in California to swat another gamer because of an argument over an online video game and gave him the wrong address. The guy who lived at that address in Wichita had no connection to any of the perpetrators, did nothing wrong, and didn't know about the swatting. He was killed by police on his own porch when he unexpectedly lowered his arms and an officer shot him. The officer was not prosecuted or disciplined. The California perp who made the 911 call got 20 years in prison, and the other two were also prosecuted and convicted, but their sentences were pretty nominal.
I'm not sure why the local authorities didn't recognize a hoax the second and now, the third time around.

I believe this call can be traced. But authorities don’t care unless one of their own, or a prominent democrat is on the business end of the Swat.

Somebody should be in jail over this. Too easy for one mistake, one false move, and someone is dead. The police should be just as angered by this. Someone tried to use them to kill a person.

The FBI will be right on this, just as soon as they have an agent freed up from Trump.

I think this was news two days ago...bad business, but hopefully the police are breaking wise to this...the Feebs need to get off their anti-Trump azzes and find out who is doing this...if they don't they are just as bad as the perp.

#7, I'm definitely NOT sticking up for them, rather I'd like to see them treated like Vlad did, but, there isn't anything man can do that can't be traced, give the will to do so. If a call can be traced via multiple jumps across the globe, this should be a no brainer to find.

The problem, No. 1, is that many of these "tips" are sent in anonymously, and often by geeks who route their calls through multiple hubs to discourage tracing. The SWATter could be in Russia, Red China or North Korea. If they can identify the caller, they can act on false calls like this.

I wonder how quickly a republican calling something like this in on Nanzi Pelosi, Schumer, AOC, Omar or Schiff would be identified, arrested and jailed?

The perp is most likely using a burner phone with a VPN installed to hide the location and the individual. Good luck in finding them.

I'm sure that the police officers weren't taking it even slightly seriously the second time, just checking to verify, politely, knowing it was BS, as usual.

Tell me the Rome police don't know that home is a local Member of Congress' residence. By now there should be a RED FLAG whenever that address reported is under distress...with police approaching with great caution after responding quickly.

Nasty Nancy is not allowing her the protection that she is entitled to have as a member of congress. The repubican leadership should have demanded this long ago. MTG uncovers and reveals many hidden secret elite's don't want the public to know. I'm surprised that anyone who is aware of the news happenings would call her a witch. I admire her spunk and intelligence.

A lot of the comments assume caller ID still works well and is accurate. I'm getting a zillion solicitation calls and when I call the number back, it's not working and the call can't go thru. Also, I get calls with an ID and when I call back, the owner of the number didn't call me and would never have tried to reach me.
The tech is out there to fake the phone number that shows up on your phone. Maybe 911 people should ask for the number, or verify it, and hang up and try to call it back before sending a swat team out.
Further, who would order up a SWAT team two nights in a row? Twice shy is the rule.

I agree with poster #3...she should set up a special code with the police that tells them not to respond...and some tech genius should examine the swatter's name and number...I'm sure it can be done....then entice this idiot out into the open so he/she/it can be prosecuted....

My first suspect is someone(s) from the govt - perhaps the FBI.

Given the technology that most of the 911 call centers have now, I suspect they know exactly where these calls are coming from. There needs to be legal means to punish the callers who do this. Especially a member of congress. I don't agree with most of congress, but I think their office should be respected enough to be exempt from this kind of terrorism.
