Shocker! Mike Tyson States His Political
Beliefs, And They’re Not What You Might Think

There are essentially three types of celebrities who weigh in on politics, and they normally come from either Hollywood, the music industry, or the sports world. The most common is the bright but detached, ill-informed but vocal leftist. In this category, we find mostly obnoxious hypocrites such as Matt Damon, Oprah Winfrey, and Sean Penn. The next group can be described as dumb-as-a-stump ignoramus liberals, who tend to be the loudest and most annoying, and are almost as plentiful as the first category. Members of this class include Eminem, LeBron James, and Mark Ruffalo, and the list seems to be growing by the day.

Comments:

Through his first 35 fights he was the most dominant boxer ever. It's nice to see he actually has some common sense as well.

Whatever the cause for Tyson's change - thank God. Now if he would also realize that in the end the media has no real power and not to fear their witless words. THEN he would truly be courageous. Bite their tongues off, Mike, not their ears.

Years ago I heard Mike Tyson be interviewed on the Dennis Miller show. He came across as very thoughtful and there was some real depth to his intellect and personality. And looking back that shouldn't be surprising because Mike was raised by old boxing trainers. That was his family.

Tyson received a good upbringing by Cus D'Amato. Tyson went through some very troubling times under the influence of Don King and lashed out at everyone who "brung him to the dance" at one point. It's refreshing to hear that he learned from his 'bad side' and is putting himself out front for good. I don't even mind if he beats the hell out of an idiot on an airplane once in a while.

In his own unique way Mike Tyson has always been a Zen philosopher. Example: "Everyone has a plan 'til they get punched in the mouth." I completely agree with #7 in that Tyson was railroaded in that rape conviction, and was probably innocent of all the charges. Nevertheless, Ol' Champ managed to keep his keel upright. There's a lot more to this man than meets the eye. Hang in there, Champ!

Mike Tyson has had a hard life. He did have a good mentor and father figure in Cus D'Amato and it would have been nice if D'Amato had lived longer. Despite it all, the champ has prevailed and I wish him all the best.

Mike Tyson appears to be actually quite intelligent. He stated his political bent without stating anything specific, poster #12. You have to listen to other interviews he's done to catch his bent. He's common sense; that's conservative. Leftists have no common sense; they're idiots.

When it comes to examples of leftwing bias in the mainstream media, there is perhaps no better example than former CNN host Brian Stelter. Most of the clowns on MSNBC don’t pretend to be neutral and will come right out and admit their leftism. The broadcast networks’ talking heads are much more subtle and have therefore become adept at hiding their affiliations with the Democratic Party. And, of course, outlets such as the New York Times and Washington Post have scores of ‘journalists’ who would give Stelter a run for their far-left money, but we’re not forced to see their big heads on TV screens when walking through an airport.
