Ignore the trash talk: Republicans can

Trash talk is common in sports. Whether it’s lighthearted or nasty, the purpose is the same: to intimidate your opponent and make them lose focus and feel less confident in their ability to win. Democrats and their friends in the media are engaging in their own form of trash talk when it comes to the midterm elections. They wave around some meaningless poll or quote an “expert” who would have us believe that Republican Senate candidates are weak, President Joe Biden has had some great successes, the Democrats’ fundraising numbers give them a huge advantage, and Republicans can’t possibly win back the Senate.

Comments:

If Herschel truly believes his prediction and wants it to happen, he'd better stop saying really stupid stuff. Right away.

He was a great football player. But he HAS to clearly demonstrate why he will be successful at a high level political position like a US Senator. Merely saying I am nice guy, trust me, don't trust my opponent is not enough.

We will win IF and ONLY if we get out and vote en masse. We fight the deep state, unbelievably wealthy technocrats, technologic fraud, powers and principalities - even the dead. DeSantis is right. We must gird our loins with the powers of God - publicly support our candidates and vote.

Unfortunately if the GOP wins Nothing will change. This country is forever divided because there is no shared vision of what it should and can be. The Left wants a socialist structure and government that decimates Rights increases taxes and put the US on par with Zimbabwe. The Right is torn between Neocon Warmongers, Deep State Rhinos and some loosely defined term Conservative that applies to every flavor of the month. See article below It is all BS. They say America is a mixing pot. Well take all your spices, herbs, proteins, and vegetables in your kitchen and put into one pot; simmer and see what complete rubbish you wind up with. That is America today!

Walker if in a close enough race will lose, the democrat will win by cheating. Walker has to be so many votes ahead that cheating can't help the left. It's the same with Oz against the 'momma's boy' dork with crazy ideas if it's close Oz will lose too.

Walker was never a scholastic all-American. He's a celebrity enticed into running for office, Like Oz in PA. The Republicans were looking for celebrity, not genius. In GA it helps that he's black and a football hero. Fully endorsed by FPDT, who knows well the value of celebrity after making Omarosa on his hit TV series. For Republicans Walker's a reliable vote in the Senate, one more toward achieving a majority. But let's not pretend he's any more than that.

Elsewhere, there is an article about the conservatism of Michael Tyson. I don't think you have to be a rocket scientist to be a politician. The current crop has proven that. And Herschel is taking the right tack by nationalizing this election and making it about inflation and job prospects and our standing in the world and more. It's his opponent that wants to make it about some off-hand comment which we never hear about when it's done by a bike but always hear about when it's done by a Republican. Run well my friend

Yeah, I gotta rank Uncle Fensterman in Pa. who wants to let murderers go free and Mandela Barnes (a guy) in Wisconsin who says that National Parks are racist as excellent exampled of quality candidates. As is the dumbest woman on the planet, Crazy Mazy Hirono (Hawaii). So when Turtle McConnell gripes that he has "unqualified candidates" like Dr. Oz and Hershel Walker, he'd better shaddup. We do need a new majority leader in the Senate. I'd proposed Ted Cruz. And bid on the popcorn concession outside the Senate gallery.

Gov. Glenn Youngkin (R-VA) vowed to block all efforts to ban gas-powered vehicles in Virginia. His declaration comes after California’s Air Resources Board voted Thursday to implement an executive order by Gov. Gavin Newsom (D-CA) that phases out gas-powered vehicles and bans the sale of them beginning in 2035. Virginia passed a law in 2021 that set the Commonwealth on a path to adopt California’s emissions standards. “In an effort to turn Virginia into California, liberal politicians who previously ran our government sold Virginia out

There are scores of variables that can impact the outcome of an election, and some are more critical than others. Who has the greatest number of lawn signs in a community? Whose spouse is more likable? Is the candidate a military veteran? Where do the candidates stand on hot-button social issues? And depending on the voter, any of these issues can play a huge role in determining how one votes. But there is one item that will trump all others when crunch time arrives, particularly when it comes to the coveted ‘independent voter.’ While huge swaths of the electorate will vote strictly

As Democrats nationally campaign on abortion access following the Supreme Court's June ruling that overturned Roe v. Wade, a red-state Democrat is bucking the trend. Democrat Mark Haugen, who is challenging Rep. Kelly Armstrong (R-ND) for North Dakota’s at-large congressional district, is running a campaign focused on key issues for the state: the 2023 farm bill and improving access to healthcare for rural residents. But it is his position on abortion that is drawing attention, as it sets him apart from most other candidates in his party this cycle. “I never hid my pro-life beliefs,” Haugen told the Washington Examiner in

Former President Donald Trump has once again done the improbable: He has turned a possible federal criminal investigation into a political positive. In the days since the FBI raided Mar-a-Lago, Trump has rallied the Republican Party behind him to a degree not seen since he was in the White House, once again sucking all the oxygen out of the room for other Republicans who might want to run for president in 2024 or are on the ballot in other races this year. The big question is whether Trump can sustain this momentum as more information about the FBI search is made public, including what exactly the bureau was looking for,

END TRUMP RAID SECRECY. There's a line at the end of an Axios newsletter that sums up everything that is wrong about media coverage and public discussion of the FBI's unprecedented raid on the home of former President Donald Trump. "These investigations are top secret," Axios's Mike Allen wrote. "So more likely than not, we won't get the full picture any time soon." The bad word is secret. Excessive secrecy gave rise to wild, absolutely crazy speculation during the years of the Trump-Russia "collusion" investigation. Little bits of information would leak, upon which journalists and other talking heads would build elaborate structures of speculation.

Trump is a narcissist, and Liz is just standing up to him, they’ll tell us. Trump attacked our democracy on January 6th, and Cheney is protecting our country, they’ll insist. Taiwan has issued a chilling assessment of China's explosive military tests held around the island this week. Taiwan said Saturday that China’s military drills appear to simulate an attack on the self-ruled island, after multiple Chinese warships and aircraft crossed the median line of the Taiwan Strait. Taiwan’s armed forces issued an alert, dispatched air and naval patrols around the island, and activated land-based missile systems in response to the Chinese exercises, Taiwan’s Ministry of National Defense said. The island's leadership also announced it detected four unmanned aerial vehicles flying in the vicinity of the offshore county of Kinmen on Friday night and fired warning flares in response.  CORRECTION*

Friends and family arrived for a graduation in May at the University of Denver. We forgot to warn them. Once a cosmopolitan utopia of clean, safe, family-friendly neighborhoods and parks, Denver now looks and feels like a drug orgy. The stench of marijuana wafts through neighborhoods where a small percentage of family dwellings have transitioned into pot farms. Walking through much of Denver and other Colorado cities, one becomes accustomed to stepping over and around growing numbers of full-time drug users living on sidewalks, parks, medians, and lawns. The broad-based degradation started when voters approved Amendment 64 in 2012,
