Biden just announced that he intends to forgive $10,000 of student loan debt for those earning $125,000 or less, and $20,000 for those who received Pell Grants. It is unclear whether the Pell Grant recipients have to pass the means test of income under $125,000 per year. There are millions of Americans in these two categories. Pell Grant recipients demonstrated financial need beyond that for the student loans of which there are those with lower interest rates, and those with higher interest rates, those from the Federal Government, and those from private entities. And among other things, it's unconstitutional, by the way.

Great political calculation: pay off a few percent of the people and screw the rest. On balance that's supposed to win votes?

Happily paying back my kids Student Loans. Glad to be able to do it. Three of them shared & baked. STEM majors - not resentment studies. Glad to have them free and on their way.

One of former President Donald Trump’s strongest and most endearing personality traits is his relentless sense of humor. He’s a very funny guy. Depending on the day’s events and available subject matter, a television interview can come across like a sitcom script, sprinkled amongst some profound takes on political topics, and rants at some of his rallies can rival those of some of today’s best stand-up comedians. We’ve had humorous presidents before, with Ronald Reagan quickly coming to mind, but none at the level of Trump. And despite the intense friction in today’s political climate and national tensions having been ratcheted to previously unseen levels after last week’s outrageous Mar-a-Lago Raid,

Is this the funniest comedy you’ll never see — because of cancel culture? In 2016, Jamie Foxx, 54, and Jeremy Piven, 57, started filming “All-Star Weekend,” a movie about two NBA-obsessed friends in Indiana. Piven’s character is Steph Curry’s biggest fan, while Foxx’s worships LeBron James. The pair win tickets to the NBA All-Star Weekend in Los Angeles and on their way out west, they run into a cast of wacky characters and find themselves in a dangerous situation with their hoop idols. The premise and the cast, which includes Robert Downey Jr., Benicio del Toro, Gerard Butler and Eva Longoria, seem like a slam dunk.

One thing we must give Democrats credit for is their unity. Yes, certain members of the party such as Sen. Joe Manchin (D-WV) and Sen. Kyrsten Sinema (D-AZ) will occasionally diverge from the party line and oppose particularly radical pieces of legislation, but when it comes to big moments and key votes – on impeachment, for instance – Democrats circle the wagons. Contrarily, Republicans tend to fracture at the most inopportune moments, which is why it was refreshing to see virtual unanimity amongst the GOP after Monday’s outrageous raid on former President Donald Trump’s residence Mar-a-Lago. Almost all notable Republicans supported Trump after the ordeal; all except for one.

Less than a week ago, the tragedy of four brutal murders in New Mexico appeared to be a windfall for Democrats. It was a perfect, yet bloody, scenario for the party that doesn’t hesitate to try and exploit every and any tragedy that fits their larger narrative. And while we can’t be sure that any Democrats were actually happy about four men being dead, we know that internally they were thrilled about the circumstances. We could almost see them doing cartwheels in their heads as they discussed the matter. Muslims, of course, are included in the Democrats’ intersectional hierarchy of victimhood.

Elon Musk questioned President Joe Biden’s ongoing effort to release WNBA star Brittney Griner from a Russian prison while thousands are locked up in the US for the same offense. Griner was sentenced to nine years in Russia for cannabis possession and Musk noted others locked up on American soil aren’t getting the same attention from the White House. “If the president is working so hard to free someone who is in jail in Russia for some weed, shouldn’t we free people in America?” the Tesla CEO asked on an episode of the “Full Send” podcast this week.

If politics and society mirror the natural world, then we might conclude that for every phenomenon there is a counter-phenomenon there to balance things out. In the context of our weekly tribute to stupidity, therefore, we would declare that for every knucklehead, there is an anti-knucklehead. That theory might not hold true in every instance, but it certainly holds true in this situation. Andrew Warren, an elected prosecutor in Hillsborough County Florida, inexplicably determined that he wasn’t merely elected to enforce the laws, he was there to write and adjudicate them as well. And then Warren ran into anti-knucklehead extraordinaire: Governor Ron DeSantis.

In February, American basketball star Brittney Griner was arrested at a Moscow airport after attempting to bring cannabis oil into the country, which is illegal according to Russian law. In the almost six months since being apprehended, Griner has lingered in a less-than-comfortable prison cell. On Thursday, the legal proceedings of the case came to a close when a Russian court delivered a guilty verdict, followed by a harsh sentence of nine years behind bars. None of Thursday’s developments should have come as a surprise to anyone. As we’ve noted before, 99% of all Russian prosecutions end with a guilty verdict, and with a maximum available sentence of ten years,

Hollywood star Drew Barrymore has been accused of “racism” for posting a video of herself dancing in the rain on social media. The short video shows Barrymore filming herself laughing, dancing, and encouraging others to enjoy the pouring rain. However, leftists pounced on the video and argued that it’s “racist” because she’s “frolicking in the rain.” The accusation comes from a “woke” activist with the handle @amushroomblackly who posted a video response, that quickly went viral, and accused Barrymore of cultural insensitivity. “Whenever you can, go out into the rain,” Barrymore says in her video.

If half of all vehicles sold are zero-emission by 2030, the country would need 1.2 million public chargers and 28 million private chargers by that year—which a McKinsey report claims would cost more than $35 billion over eight years.(Snip)The country has over 128,000 public EV charging outlets and at least 4,500 private charging stations—in comparison with about 150,000 gas stations—and faces a daunting task in trying to build out for its needs.
