Kathy Hochul’s call for 5.4M Republicans
to leave New York is dangerous and disgusting

Gov. Kathy Hochul, who hasn’t proven shy about issuing orders, had one for the state’s Republicans this week — all 5.4 million of them: “Just jump on a bus and head down to Florida where you belong, OK?” she said. “You are not New Yorkers.” If you can move beyond the frankly disgusting political partisanship and intolerance, her message is fiscally irresponsible, even dangerous. The governor probably already knows this, but the state’s extensive public sector is heavily reliant on personal income taxes paid by residents, and with nearly $14 billion in projected budget gaps over the next five years, it can’t afford to lose any taxpayers,

Say, that might work. Lets divide states up in order of those who want to be American and those who don't. I've always wondered if we could kick California and New York out of the union. That would leave the rest of us in peace. Maybe Oregon would like to join them.

I live 1/2 mile from the beach and I don't have to worry about muggers or panhandlers when I go there. Our politics are sane and our Governor actually listens to the voting public. And we don't even have a state income tax to boot!! I wouldn’t move to NY for all the rum in Jamaica!!

Hochul needs some educating. The Democrat party is rapidly shrinking under the Biden Administration and so is New York. Their ‘woke’ crap is out of control and everyone’s sick of it. Everything they touch is in some way destroyed. Comments like this from a sitting Governor should be grounds for impeachment. She is not the Queen and she does not choose who does or does not live in New York. She’d better hope Republicans don’t take her up on it. There will be nothing left but drug addled homeless, illegals, and criminals with a handful of liberals happy to support them. She richly deserves that.

So this walking piece of garbage feels that she, as governor, doesn't represent these 5.4 million people? And that's just the taxpayers with enough guts to actually register to vote as a Republican. Small business people will tell you that they fear losing jobs if it was known that they were Trumpsters so they hide their party affiliation. Imagine DeSantis telling liberals from the North who move there they should go back to where they came from! The horror. Lastly ... to many of my fellow LDotter posters ... like Lot (nephew of Abraham) and his wife/family (who were all trapped in Sodom), many people in NY state and city are stuck and cannot just "leave". Thin of it this way, if you will. The 5.4 million republicans in NY are essentially wasted from a national voting perspective. We could use them in Texas as insurance against all of the blue state refugees who flee the high taxes and crime of their home states but still tend to vote democrat once in Texas; hence, Beto as a potentially viable candidate for governor, in spite of him being a worthless political parasite. It is rapidly coming time for the U.S. to segregate ideologically, if not split completely. Im sure Florida struggles with this as well but the thing Florida has going for it is that a lot of the former NY-NJ types who have fled to Florida over the years are older citizens, who may still retain enough common sense to be conservative, or at least right-of-center. During the 80s, Texas had a lot of Rust Belt refugees move here. It was a much younger crowd on average, as there were many more working class families moving in vs retirees, especially with regard to Texas' large urban areas, who still largely vote democrat.

I hope we can leave the ignorant talk about Oregon out of this discussion today. For those who don't know, Oregon has two blue puddles with large populations right in the middle of a red state. Problem is, back in 1986 a democrat crook named Bill Bradbury convinced the legislature to vote and pass vote by mail for all elections. Think about that for a moment and given we haven't had a republican governor since that year, wonder why Pelosi wants this for the whole nation. Vote by mail is a complete scam and will turn this nation into a blue one party rule. Yes, Cali and NY are corrupted and probably beyond redemption. But the rest of us are not. In fact, we have been trying to divide Oregon up for about 3 decades now so the democrats could have the Willamette valley. Let the rest of us join with Idaho and Northern Cali to form the state of Jefferson.

Stop the presses: Somebody who worked for Donald Trump has written an upbeat, informative book. It’s a moral outrage and must be destroyed! So says The New York Times about Jared Kushner’s White House memoir. Reviewer Dwight Garner, sounding like a high-school mean girl, not only trashes “Breaking History” as “soulless,” he mocks the author’s appearance, saying “Kushner looks like a mannequin, and he writes like one.” Twice he refers to Kushner’s dimples. Did Garner ever mock the appearance of a black or female author, or anyone who worked for a Democrat?

The Senate race shouldn’t be at all close in Pennsylvania if people just take a look a John Fetterman and his radical ideas. But some of his prior remarks on crime are now getting a lot more attention now that he’s running for the Senate. While styling himself as a working-class everyman, Fetterman lived off his well-off parents into his late forties. Most people can’t live off their wealthy parents, most of us have to earn a living. Perhaps that’s why Fetterman has such an affection for far-left politics because he hasn’t had to live in the real world for most of his life with real-world responsibilities.

The FBI on Friday did not deny it warned Facebook of the imminent “dump” of “Russian propaganda” before the story of Hunter Biden’s laptop broke in the 2020 election cycle. When it comes to gauging the country’s economic health, the media usually focuses on indicators like gross domestic product (GDP). But those broad metrics don’t always capture people’s ability to meet their basic needs — food, clothing and shelter. Even though GDP has been declining for the last six months, the real alarm bell that should be ringing concerns the electorate’s inability to afford a place to live, something the discontented voter will not take lightly. Since Joe Biden became president, prices have risen dramatically for clothing (7.3%) and food (13.7%), according to the Consumer Price Index. But those increases pale in comparison to how much home prices and rents

Although Florida went to former President Trump in the 2020 presidential election, Miami-Dade went the other way, voting reliably blue in the last presidential election. Late last month, The Gateway Pundit published a story about the testimony of a former voting machine tester, Clay Parikh, who was an expert witness in a lawsuit calling for Arizona to cease use of electronic voting machines. Earlier this month, TGP had the opportunity to sit down and interview Mr. Parikh. He also gave a statement at the Mike Lindell Moment of Truth Summit here. Yesterday, however, the effort to ban electronic voting machines with super secret source code and private equity firm ownership came to a screeching halt in Lake v. Hobbs. The case was dismissed, once again, alleging that Kari Lake did not have standing

Who is really in charge? Joe Biden on Friday ‘dropped by’ a meeting with state and local officials on Women’s Equality Day to discuss ‘abortion access’ for women following the Supreme Court’s decision to overturn Roe v Wade. Biden decided to take a few softball questions from sycophantic reporters. Then he dropped this gem as he called on a reporter… “I’m sorry, I took control. I shouldn’t do that. I’m not allowed to do that,” said Biden as his handlers kicked out the press.

It seems like just yesterday that politicians would try to sway voters to come to their point of view and cast a vote for them. Things have changed. In the past week, Charlie Crist told conservative voters he wants nothing to do with them because they're evil; Kathy Hochul told Republicans to leave her state; and, in the culmination of this abuse, Joe Biden effectively affixed the label "fascist" to Trump's 74,216,154 voters (all of whom are actual human beings). Is it any coincidence that, in the same week, activists twice swatted Marjorie Taylor Greene?

Joe Biden was warned by the Treasury Secretary and his wife not to cancel student debt, but pressed ahead regardless on the urging of Kamala Harris, it has been claimed. Treasury Secretary Janet Yellen argued that with inflation around a 40-year high, the cancellation of student loans could free up consumer spending and drive inflation higher, the New York Times reported. Jill Biden, who works part-time as a college lecturer, also urged her husband to reconsider. She campaigned on free community college, but did not push for the cancellation of debt.

After nearly two years of talking about it, Joe Biden finally rolled out his student-loan forgiveness plan … and apparently nothing else. According to Axios, the White House didn’t bother to gather the data on eligibility, didn’t create a system which would check it, and has no system yet in place to fully complete the process. Did Biden drop the ball again — or did he never expect to be allowed to run with it in the first place? The agency doesn’t have income data for most of the 43 million Americans eligible for forgiveness, meaning around 35 million people — including Pell Grant recipients — will have to attest

Ford is reportedly raising the price of the 2023 Mustang Mach-E electric vehicle by as much as $8,000 just a few weeks after increasing the price of its planned electric pickup truck the F-150 Lightning. Although the company blames inflation, supply chain problems, and “rapidly evolving market conditions,” the price hikes come just after Joe Biden’s climate and spending bill passed including electric vehicle rebates eerily similar to Ford’s price increases. The Verge reports that Ford is raising the price of the 2023 Mustang Mach-E just a few weeks after increasing the price of its electric pickup truck, the F-150 Lightning.

After President Biden announced his student loan handout plan on Wednesday, August 24, 2022, many parents immediately wondered about the status of the college loans they took out in their own names on behalf of their children. Many moms and dads took out Parent PLUS loans, the federal loans available to parents of undergraduate students to handle college expenses not covered by financial aid. Currently, at least 3.4 million Parent PLUS borrowers owe at least $87 billion, according to the Brookings Institute.

Friday’s unsealing of the affidavit tied to the FBI’s raid on former President Donald Trump’s Florida estate has raised more questions than answers. West Palm Beach US Magistrate Judge Bruce Reinhardt had ordered the Justice Department earlier in the week to prepare a redacted version of the document in which authorities laid out their reasons for the controversial Aug. 8 search-and-seizure operation at Mar-a-Lago. Friday’s unsealing came amid what Reinhardt called “intense public and historical interest” into the raid. The feds have described their probe as centering on the alleged mishandling of classified information, theft of government records and obstruction of justice.

Journalist Bari Weiss asked former Attorney General Bill Barr if convicted child sex trafficker Jeffrey Epstein may not have taken his own life in an interview Thursday. Epstein was discovered dead of an apparent suicide in his cell at Manhattan’s Metropolitan Correctional Center in 2019, according to The New York Times, but some have speculated that he did not kill himself or may have been murdered. In an interview released Thursday, Weiss asked Barr, “Is it possible that Jeffrey Epstein didn’t die by suicide?” “No,” he responded.

Vice President Kamala Harris lost another top staffer this week, as the exodus of her staffers continue. Herbie Ziskend, a senior communications adviser, announced that he is leaving Harris’s side for the West Wing, where he will be the new White House deputy communications director. Harris is teetering on the verge of having no staffers as many have walked away amid claims of turmoil and dysfunction. Ziskend joined the Vice President at the beginning of President Joe Biden’s term, one of the few who have made it this long before finding a new role.

A bizarre assertion made by scientists in South Korea suggests that if the global population starts eating burgers and other food made out of earthworms, then world hunger would be greatly reduced. The New York Post reports that Dr. Hee Cho of Wonkwang University led a research project which concluded that mixing cooked mealworms, or beetle larvae, with sugar can produce a substance that resembles and allegedly tastes like meat. “Recently, eating insects has become of interest because of the increasing cost of animal protein, as well as the associated environmental issues,” Cho said in a press release after the project’s conclusion. “Insects are a nutritious and healthy food source
