The latest episode of Fox Nation’s Tucker Carlson Today aired Tuesday and included the first part of Tucker’s interview with country music superstar and musician John Rich of Big & Rich. In what might be an homage to the late, great Johnny Carson, longtime host of “The Tonight Show,” Tucker asked Rich, who grew up in a trailer, what he did when, “all of a sudden, you make money.” Carson often asked young, up-and-coming actors and other performers who had “overnight success” what their first big purchase was when they got that payday.

As I got older, I started to realize what a privilege it was growing up with the depression era and WWII generation. Every adult my family knew had been through the depression and WWII. I also lived next door to my grandparents who were born just before the turn of the century in the 1890's. My grandfather fought in WWI. The collective American experience that every adult I knew had when I was a kid was probably the best education I could have ever received.

I grew up next to my grandparents. My papa was born in the backwoods and with hard work and determination, he started his own successful business and worked till he was 93. My mama was an orphan who was raised by kind nuns and she was a good mother and housewife who took care of everyone. My father went into the Navy right out of college after Pearl Harbor and went through a lot of battles including Okinawa. My mother was a nurse who became a stay at home mother and took good care of all of us. They are all my heroes. We will not see their like again.

President Joe Biden paid tribute on Friday to 13 American service members who died during the final days of the Kabul airlift when a suicide bomber detonated explosives packed with ball bearings amid the chaos of the city's airport. 'Our nation will forever mourn their sacrifice and honor the memory of those 13 precious souls, stolen from their families, loved ones, brothers- and sisters-in-arms far too soon while performing a noble mission on behalf of our nation,' he said. However, Biden has faced repeated questions about whether the withdrawal operation was properly executed.

Happy Friday, dear Kruiser Morning Briefing friends. (Snip) Well over a year ago, I wrote in the Briefing that Donald Trump’s biggest failure was not doing a thorough housecleaning at the FBI. No doubt Trump agrees with me, given all that has been going on lately. Yesterday’s news revealed a double-whammy that added more clarity to just how heavy the Bureau’s thumb was on the 2020 presidential election scale, and all of it has to do with Joe Biden’s sleazebag progeny, Hunter. It appears that the FBI was working overtime to make sure voters

California has officially become the first in the world to enforce a ban on the sale of new gasoline cars by 2035, following a public hearing on Thursday that ended with California Air Resources Board voting to approve the policy. Automakers are now required to reduce the number of gas guzzlers they sell in order to reach the first quota of the plan that mandates 35 percent of new cars, SUVs and small pickups sold in California by 2026 be zero-emission vehicles. The quota increases every two years, with 51 percent by 2028, 68 percent by 2030 and then 100 percent of all new vehicles sold should be

California is aggressively moving to end all gas-powered cars by the year 2035. You might think that would be a big deal on the networks. But you’d be wrong. ABC and NBC responded with a collective yawn on Wednesday night and Thursday morning, allowing 23 seconds and 30 seconds, respectively. But that’s still better than CBS. The network avoided California’s radical move, skipping it on the CBS Evening News and CBS Mornings. On the Today show, co-host Craig Melvin seemed indifferent to the big change:

An op-ed in the Washington Post has argued that men in women’s sports could actually be a good thing for young girls by teaching them the art of losing gracefully. According to Alyssa Rosenberg, the aim of school athletics is not to teach children the art of achieving excellence but rather to build character, and what better way to build character in a teenage girl than having her experience the frustration of losing that championship title to a biological male? Her argument largely hinges on the unicorn of “sports-crazed parents” who will theoretically use transgender athletes in women’s sports as an excuse in the event their daughter loses.
