The FBI recently raided the former president’s Florida home, claiming possible violations of the Espionage Act and other national security concerns. What flowed after the unprecedented action was a series of coordinated leaks from inside the government meant to make Trump look guilty of crimes. But how did things get that far? I think it’s safe to say that we’ve all seen a lot of craven politicians in our time. Unfortunately, there are a lot out there — those who will do or say anything to get and hold power.

A specially appointed prosecutor dropped charges Tuesday, including murder, against Atlanta, Georgia, police officers Garrett Rolfe and Devin Brosnan, who shot and killed Rayshard Brooks in a June 2020 incident that led to Black Lives Matter riots.
Brooks, 27, a black man, had fallen asleep in his vehicle in a Wendy’s drive-thru and was questioned by the officers, who had been called to the scene. After speaking with the officers, he resisted arrest and stole an officer’s Taser, firing it at them. Rolfe fired at Brooks, who was killed.
A mob then arrived and burned the Wendy’s. Democrats, including failed Georgia gubernatorial candidate Stacey Abrams, said the shooting was “murder.”

According to Just The News, some voters in Baltimore received their mail-in ballots earlier this month. The bad news is that those ballots were for the 2020 election. On Aug. 5, 2022, a tray of undelivered ballots was discovered. To the post office’s credit, they were delivered to the homes in Southeast Baltimore on Aug. 6. Better late than… never?
Local TV station WMAR reached out to the Postal Service and got a response from a spokesperson acknowledging the SNAFU and stating in part:
We deeply regret the late delivery of these mailpieces. The Postal Service takes these issues very seriously and is working to help avoid issues like this

After watchdogs failed for months to obtain his financial disclosures, Fauci’s 2020 portfolio was obtained and published by Sen. Roger Marshall (R-KS) on January 14. Fauci’s disclosures were obtained by Marshall after Fauci called the senator a “moron” on a hot mic at a Senate hearing.
“Maybe the senator has a point,” Fauci said about the hidden disclosures. “Maybe my financial investments, though disclosed and available, should be much easier to see.”
As the highest paid federal employee of the federal government, Fauci must publicly disclose financial statements.
Representative Adam Schiff (D-CA) said Monday on MSNBC’s “Deadline” that former President Donald Trump was the first president of the United States “without character.”
Schiff said, “We have seen a pattern with Donald Trump, and that is when he’s not held accountable. He goes on to commit worse misconduct. Anthony Bradford, 19, approached a 12-year-old girl in a park on Detroit’s east side around 10 p.m. last Tuesday and demanded that she surrender her shoes. When the girl told Bradford to pound sand, he shot her. [Tweet]
Bradford was arrested and charged with armed robbery, assault with intent to murder, carrying a concealed weapon, felony firearm possession, resisting arrest, and obstructing.
The 12-year-old girl was shot in her right hip and is said to be in stable condition. Her name was not released.
Bradford’s probable cause conference was scheduled for Aug. 30, and his preliminary examination is set for Sept. 6.

First, for those of you who haven’t read all of the previous columns in this space, a definition. What is Weaponized Governmental Failure?
Simply put, it’s the process by which urban socialist Democrats intentionally muck up the basic tasks of municipal governance and create such soul-crushing environments that middle-class taxpayers and voters decamp for the suburbs, thus leaving an electorate incapable of throwing off the political machine.
My theory is that Weaponized Governmental Failure, or WGF for short, was arrived upon serendipitously. At some point in the 1990s, Democrats noticed that some of their worst mayors — like Washington, D.C.’s Marion Barry — were simply unbeatable despite dismal performances.
