Author and historian Yuri Felshtinsky claimed the car bomb attack would have been authorised by the Kremlin He said Alexander Dugin was deemed 'unruly' and the Kremlin is using him 'in its own propaganda war' Dugin, 60, accused Ukraine of carrying out the attack on his daughter - 29-year-old journalist Darya Dugina Earlier it emerged Dugin had strongly criticized Putin shortly before Dugina was ripped to pieces in attack But Russia's FSB claimed Kyiv's SBU were behind attack and alleged spy called Natalia Vovk carried out hit Ukraine has strongly denied any role in killing, accusing the Kremlin of a 'false flag' operation to blame Kyiv

Comments:

Dugin's dream was that Russia undertake wars until it ruled from Vladivostok to Dublin. Somebody set a car bomb for him and/or daughter. Lotta suspects.

It was my guess that it was FSB, but I'm no expert at which thuggish Russian "intel" murder group is most likely to kill which persons. OK, GRU.....works for me. I doubt that the Ukrainians a) want to further enrage the violent Putin or b) have the capabilities to get people and explosive in place that deep into Russia with all the FSB and other police that swarm and totally control Russia. FYI, any traveler checking into a hotel in Russia has to turn over their passport to the front desk overnight while the local police check you out - just checking into a hotel in Russia warrants a police investigation, every single time. Not trivial for a Ukrainian agent to travel to Moscow with a bomb and set it. OTOH, for FSB or GRU, hell they ARE "the police" and they can literally do anything the want and kill anyone that they choose.

Our "intel" are a whole lot more subtle. Artificially-induced heart attacks and lung cancer are more their style. Takes a bit longer, but leaves doubt. Arkancide is more direct, but that's a different group.

A little punctuation like 'periods' and 'commas' would have been helpful in the opening click bait paragraph.

I saw pictures of her father with his hands over his face. I feel nothing for him. He either ordered the murder of thousands of Ukranians or supported Putin when he ordered it. Now he knows how they feel about losing their loved ones and their homes and everything they own. It's Karma big time!!!!

If this ludicrous excuse for a paper, or anyone else, has evidence of the extremist Dugin’s ties to Putin, I’m all ears. This is another smear job, but what else is new?

Can it become any clearer that America MUST extricate itself from the morass in Ukraine? Since nobody knows who is responsible, anyone can be blamed if either side is looking for a scapegoat to constitute the cassus belli for escalation. This includes our government, which has made it clear that it wishes to be rid of Putin. America never had any interest in this fight between corrupt foreign governments and should never have inserted itself into the fray.

Captured Ukrainian fighters face being paraded in public prison cages on stage at Mariupol’s grand Philharmonic hall during an anticipated "show trial" of the prisoners of war. The trial of the Azov prisoners could happen as soon as August 24, Ukraine’s independence day, to give the Russians an appearance of a victory following months of failures in the eastern Donbas region. The makeshift holding cages and planned open trial heighten the risk of public executions, which Russian forces are said to be planning to shatter Ukrainian morale.

This is timely, as in her latest pronouncement upon the ever-shifting and more desperate perspective of civilized Trump-hate (defined here as making some effort at analysis, no matter how nonsensical, and not just primal scream therapy like most Trump-haters) in the Wall Street Journal on June 16, she presented the most delusional version of the Trump-cancellation argument that has yet been made by any otherwise serious person still capable of rational comment on the subject.   CORRECTION*

When I was an undergraduate in the late 1960s, I underwent a kind of transformative experience during a classroom debate with another student that I believed I was clearly winning when the philosophy professor corrected me. He reminded me that when engaged in a philosophical debate, as opposed to the 9th grade Debating Challenge, the point is not simply to vanquish one’s opponent but to find the truth. In order to do the former one may use any means fair or foul to destroy the opponent. For the latter one must do the exact opposite and represent one’s opponent’s position in the strongest terms possible.

No doubt still sulking over the Roe v. Wade reversal — the opening sentence of their recent op-ed published in The New York Times is, “When liberals lose at the Supreme Court — as they increasingly have over the past half-century” — two Ivy League professors laid out their claims for an America without Constitutional limitations. They suggest, “the way to seek real freedom will be to use procedures consistent with popular rule.” Of course, the piece is polished sewage: tyranny of the majority is a very real, and very dangerous threat to the individual, (perhaps they should go read Federalist 10, but they likely wouldn’t understand that either).
