Parkland Father Claims ‘Absolute Insanity’
to Let School Officers Have AR-15s for
Classroom Defense

Parkland father Fred Guttenberg, an outspoken gun control proponent, claims Madison County, North Carolina’s, plan to have AR-15s for classroom defense is “absolute insanity.” Guttenberg lost his daughter, 14-year-old Jaime, in the February 14, 2018, Parkland high school attack, in which the attacker faced zero armed resistance. There have been other high-profile school shootings since Parkland in which the attackers have also had time to carry out their heinous deeds without armed resistance.

Comments:

What’s insane is funding and arming 87,000 new IRS agents instead of using that money for school safety officers.

Hire some combat veterans who have actually blown some bad guys away up close and personal. Grant them open carry and let them patrol the halls. They’ve made life and death decisions and aren’t afraid to put lead into any hooded clown who shows up with a rifle.....in fact they’d be damn proud to do it.

Gun-free zones around schools make them an easy soft target. Relying upon the police failed in Parkland and Uvalde. And the Left still clings to the notion that blaming inanimate objects is smart & logical, when it is anything but.

I think the guy who lost his daughter needs our prayers to recover from his grief. However I think he is entirely wrong to oppose placing arms at schools to allow a swifter response to protect against mass killers. However for some reason that guy gets his opinions in print as though it was a newsworthy event and mine only gets posted in this little comment. It doesn't seem fair does it?

Remember in self defense, when seconds count, the police (in Uvalde Tx and Parkland School) will be cowering in a corner until the shooting stops….

Okay, so give them 12 gauge pump shotguns. The weapon does matter as much as the will to take out mental defects who would harm our kids. Law enforcement failed big-time at Parkland and a few other places so who is willing to take the job?

This father has a brain issue. The police aren't going to be marching around the school with an AR-15 strapped over their shoulder and the police aren't going to be using the gun to hunt kids. Having quick access to the weapon is the answer to stop nutjobs from coming into schools and shooting up the place.

Oh, yes, we need to hire experienced, confirmed killers to roam the halls with a rifle or shotgun. (None of those cooks and clerks or drone jockeys.) Maybe give these "select school safety officers" an exemption allowing full auto weapons and endless magazine capacity. Outfitted in impervious body armor. A Mandalorian in black. The odds of a school being attacked is far less than being hit by lightning. Let's start by learning from past mistakes: #1 - LOCK THE DOORS.

After the man from the apartments makes some threats about sticking something where the sun doesn't shine, the driver gives him the double 'let's go Brandon' salute. A private jet belonging to Steven Spielberg has burned more than $116,000 worth of jet fuel since June despite the famous Hollywood director’s past warnings about global warming, according to a flight tracking database. Spielberg’s plane, a Gulfstream G650, has burned at least $116,159 worth of jet fuel over the course of 16 trips spanning nearly 17,000 miles since June 23, according to flight tracking data from ADS-B Exchange and compiled by the database Celebrity Jets. The figures are likely an underestimate since the database didn’t calculate fuel and distance metrics of at least three trips made by Spielberg’s jet.

He reminded me that when engaged in a philosophical debate, as opposed to the 9th grade Debating Challenge, the point is not simply to vanquish one’s opponent but to find the truth. In order to do the former one may use any means fair or foul to destroy the opponent. For the latter one must do the exact opposite and represent one’s opponent’s position in the strongest terms possible.

They suggest, “the way to seek real freedom will be to use procedures consistent with popular rule.” Of course, the piece is polished sewage: tyranny of the majority is a very real, and very dangerous threat to the individual, (perhaps they should go read Federalist 10, but they likely wouldn’t understand that either).
