We reported earlier on how powerful Democrats are laughably claiming that the proposed addition of some 87,000 audit-minded IRS agents that will come as the result of the bogusly named “Inflation Reduction Act” shouldn’t be considered a big deal by anyone who has nothing to hide from the Internal Revenue Service. For instance, Sen. Ben Cardin (D-Md.) lied on Fox News Sunday when he told host Mike Emanuel that “The auditing is going to be focused on those with high incomes, the large corporations, etc. So, there’s no reason to be fearful. If you call the IRS helpline, twice, you may get two different answers to the same question. And if you do receive an answer, the IRS tells you, essentially, that you cannot rely on that answer in the future. And if you accept an answer from the IRS, and then get audited, the IRS will ignore the advice it gave you. I have had graduate students who worked for the IRS, and their view was that the IRS likes to close cases, with some amount of m,oney paid by the taxpayer. If that is still the case, the IRS could change its policy, and go after cases withlarge payments only. But they will not do that.

The IRS has now been weaponized like the FBI. They will now be coming after conservative citizens at 4 in the morning, breaking in to serve their audit on you and remove all your documents, computers and phones. We have now reached a level of tyranny that requires swift action before we are doomed to be destroyed by it.

The good news is that most of these new IRS employees will be affirmative action hires who are incompetent fools. They will still do a lot of political damage, but far less than if they were competent people set to the same nefarious, evil work.

The 16th amendment was the worst law ever passed. It gave the government the right to look into every individual's business and income. As a result, the IRS has been given power to confiscate property and drain and close bank accounts without due process. While other organizations like the FBI have been sharpening their claws and terrorizing people at will, they can't hold a candle to the IRS as genuine fear merchants.

No need for legal counsel if for some reason you're ever questioned by the police because, if you have done nothing wrong, you have no reason to be fearful. Is that the Dems message?

IRS already have office space set aside for them at all the big corporations, are there, and never have left. So I totally doubt the new 87,000 auditors will be dispatched there, that being a huge redundancy. No, small business and Trump supporters are the target, and 87,000 auditors is a vast army that will be unleased on major American cities.

When attempting to rank or evaluate something or someone, context is everything. For instance, if we want to proclaim that a professional baseball player is an exceptional first baseman, we must first establish context. Are we comparing that player only to other first baseman playing today, in which case the bar is lower than it might otherwise be? Or are we comparing to him every first baseman who has ever played the game, in which case the great Lou Gehrig is indisputably the gold standard? Context is critical. So too does context affect one’s effort in trying to establish the qualifications of a country.

Eric Adams, New York City’s new Democratic mayor, had an extraordinarily low bar to clear when it came to being perceived as an improvement compared to his predecessor. Adams succeeded the far-left groundhog murderer Bill DeBlasio who, for reasons that are still unclear, decided to run for president and couldn’t get his polling numbers out of the single digits in his own city. DeBlasio was a disaster. He virtue-signaled at every opportunity while simultaneously destroying the fabric of underprivileged communities. Along with Governor Andrew Cuomo, DeBlasio oversaw the single worst response to the COVID pandemic by both allowing the highest number of per capita virus-related deaths and obliterating his city’s economy.

Governors in states along our southern border have been vocal in their concerns regarding illegal immigration for years. Their school and health care systems can’t handle the additional workload, they explained. The financial burden placed on their taxpayers was excessive and unfair, they shouted. And the fact that such migrants were entering their states unvetted posed a serious threat to the health and security of their communities, they complained. But government officials elsewhere in the country, particularly in our federal government and in blue cities such as New York and Washington D.C., dismissed the pleas from governors such as Greg Abbott in Texas and Doug Ducey in Arizona.

Since the outcome of the 2020 presidential election became clear, there has been widespread speculation that there would be an epic electoral rematch in 2024, with the combatants being an incumbent Joe Biden versus Donald Trump attempting to channel his inner Grover Cleveland. Yet the closer we get to our next quadrennial exercise of choosing our commander-in-chief, the more likely it appears that we may indeed see a presidential election rematch, but with a ballot matching the ones with which we cast votes in 2016, not in 2020. Hillary Clinton’s flirtations with another candidacy are becoming increasingly clear and undeniable.
