If Trump is Irrelevant, Why is He Still
Such a Political Force of Nature?

Gas lighters in the media and in Washington D.C. continue to tell the few who still listen to their words that former President Donald Trump is irrelevant. One Trump-loathing Republican-in-name-only, final-term Rep. Adam Kinzinger, declared, “Trump is becoming irrelevant.” In a Sunday news/snooze fest interview he told ABC’s This Week, “I am hearing a lot of anecdotal stuff, around the edges, of people who've been hardcore with Trump who now just can't stand him.” I suspect he is hearing his “anecdotal stuff” from his January 6 co-NeverTrumper Rep. Liz Cheney or other former conservatives in Washington, D.C., grasping for relevance, such as Bill Kristol, Max Boot, Jennifer Rubin, or George Will.

For someone who is supposedly irrelevant Trump certainly gets under their skin!

Trump is the sole reason for the existence of the 1/6 committee. He is very relevant. Corrupt Washington fears him.

Watched any of his rallies lately, Adam? Seen results of his endorsements in the primaries? Seen the straw poll results at CPAC? That’s some irrelevance.

Well, there's another way to look at this. I hope it's not the case, but it is a possibility. Maybe the Demos and the media WANT Trump to run? Maybe they are trying to target his ego and think if they just badger him enough, he'll be provoked into doing or saying something they'll claim is another unforgivable, impeachable offense. The media will blast innuendoes or blatant lies 24/7 and where can we go for recourse? If Trump runs and wins, he will be rendered essentially ineffectual due to non-stop investigations and committees. So in that sense Trump loses even if he wins. And if he loses at the ballot box, any justified questioning about the results will be deemed reason enough to cart us all away to some gulag. So in that sense Trump would also lose even if he wins. I don't see how he can successfully navigate through the endless, bottomless media muck. I hope I'm wrong, but I think we should prepare for these scenarios. The media or the liberals are not about to suddenly admit the error of their ways.

Doc, it's not just the "left" after FPDT to ensure he stays at Mar-a-Lago. Politics ain't a game of good intentions, and it ain't beanbag. Rail on, but we've seen this before with the Tea Party...and how the "uniparty" pros coopted the issues and unleashed IRS bureaucrats to let the air out of the tires with little accomplished.

News of an FBI raid on former President Donald Trump’s Mar-a-Lago estate shocked the nation, but Democrats appear to be happier than a pig in mud, especially House Speaker Nancy Pelosi, D-Calif., who was all smiles while discussing the matter on MSNBC. (Video) On Tuesday morning, Pelosi took to “Morning Joe” to zing the former president and reiterate that she had no prior knowledge about the raid. She actually emphasized this point several times, while grinning like she’d just won the lottery. While she was initially going on the program to discuss her controversial trip to Taiwan, which critics say is responsible for ratcheting up tensions with China, co-host Mika Brzezinski

President Biden stayed silent Tuesday about the FBI’s unprecedented Monday raid on former President Donald Trump’s Mar-a-Lago estate — as White House press secretary Karine Jean-Pierre declined to comment 18 times at her regular briefing. Biden took no questions at his public events as his aides insisted he had no advance knowledge of the bureau’s activities and referred other questions to the Justice Department. “President Biden, what did Attorney General [Merrick] Garland tell you about the Trump raid?”

The federal judge who reportedly signed off on the raid at former President Trump's Mar-a-Lago residence donated thousands of dollars to former President Barack Obama's presidential campaign and victory fund in 2008. Bruce Reinhart, a Florida federal magistrate judge, donated $1,000 to Obama's 2008 presidential campaign and added $1,000 more to the Obama Victory Fund that same cycle, according to federal filings. Reinhart later contributed $500 to Jeb Bush's failed 2016 presidential campaign, federal filings show. Reinhart did not immediately respond to a Fox News Digital inquiry on his donations.

Trump's Florida home was raided by the FBI yesterday morning in dramatic fashion over suspicion and allegation that he destroyed official documents from his time in the Oval Office. While most of the allegations of corruption surrounding the FBI’s raid of Donald Trump’s estate in Florida have been pointed at the bureau itself, details about the judge who signed off on the warrant are raising eyebrows. The warrant was rubber-stamped by Magistrate Judge named Bruce Reinhardt. As Ron Coleman points out, that’s highly suspect given the profile of the situation.(Tweet) Why did a low-level, unconfirmed, unappointed magistrate judge sign off on the most consequential FBI warrant in decades? If any warrant application demanded the eyes of a real judge, it would be one targeting the former President of the United States. Yet, this judge was happy to give the FBI

Republicans are demanding that FBI Director Christopher Wray and Attorney General Merrick Garland appear before the House Judiciary Committee on Friday to explain the Department of Justice’s actions in raiding former President Donald Trump. FBI agents executed a search warrant at Trump’s Mar-a-Lago, Florida, residence on Monday, ostensibly in connection with an investigation into the handling of presidential documents. It was the first such raid in the history of the country. As Democrats and liberal cable pundits celebrated, Republicans were united in their condemnation of what appeared to be an effort to abuse law enforcement to target a member of the opposition and a likely candidate in the next presidential election.

Palin introduced Trump to her followers listening in, and said that they should all be grateful the 76-year-old was keeping his commitment to address them, despite the strains of the day. On Monday evening, the FBI took the unprecedented step of raiding the home of former President Donald Trump. What were they looking for? Astonishingly, what is being leaked to the media is that they were after documents that possibly violated the Presidential Records Act. Far from their promises of proving some grand conspiracy involving January 6th, it appears the Democrats, using the power of the nation’s federal law enforcement apparatus, are trying to take Donald Trump out with selective enforcement of provisions that are normally handled in a civil, not criminal manner. Where have we seen that before? None of this is a coincidence, and none of it is justified.
